I'm actually surprised I'm saying this, but I don't really like your OD tone in this one. Sounds tinny and treble-y. Stands out in the mix because its really bright.

+NICKHAM16 He uses it most of the time, and he's certainly sounded fatter in other videos that had it. How do you figure? I figure that the base amp tone is already pretty tight and dry to begin with. It's sort of how a VHT (Fryette) had to boosted to get a less dry and more greasy saturation going.

Sorry to say fluff, but to my personal tastes I really quite dislike your actual riffs themselves and also how you produce them. Sorry. Anyway, doubt you care, I just like the play-throughs and FAQ mondays.

Fluff, this mix doesn't sound nearly as balanced as your others. Lot of top end sizzle, almost too much. It may be on my end, but the clarity and fullness isn't there like it is on your other mixes. You do anything differently this time?
***** No, actually you are completely right. I re-listened to this and it sounds a lot better. My wireless headphones must of been on the verge of dying when I first heard this. Sounds good.
Also, on the topic of signature guitars, Epiphone is releasing a Bjorn Gelotte of In Flames Les Paul Custom. I imagine it'll pack EMGs. Would love to see someone review it once it does drop. Only saw a teaser photo of the headstock, with a mother of pearl "JesterHead" instead of the traditional diamond.

Mason Stanley Thanks for the link. Exactly how I pictured the guitar to be. On the plus side, it looks like they equipped it with an ebony fretboard. You don't see that often in the epiphone line. Depending on price, I may pick one up and put some Dimarzio Titans in it instead of EMGs.
To be honest, Mr. Fluff, this was by far one my favorite videos. Those riffs were so sick, and everything sounded amazing. Also, what pedal was that random guy holding? A tubescreamer?
Usually the songs you write for your videos are kinda lackluster, but this one is sick! Great job bud.
The neck is actually a "Thin U" shape (like most ESP's) rather than "Thin C"

How would you compare the fretboard of this guitar to that of a Schecter? Only asking cuz I have demoed a few ESPs vs. a few Schecters andI have personally found the Schecter necks to be smoother to play. Just wondering...
THANK YOU for actually using the seventh string in this demo. I cannot tell you how many guitar demos I've seen in which the guy demoing never uses the seventh string but one time, and it seriously irritates me.

hey fluff quick question, i feel like 95% of Ibanez guitars have a floyd rose or some type of floating bridge. What could be the reason behind it? and never having really played a guitar with one is there really an advantage to having one? Thanks broseph!!!

The tone in the playtrough after the song was awesome, but I got the feeling that in the song itself the guitar sound was really scooped. It sounded almost like smartphone speakers through my JBL305. Anyway awesome vid. Would buy the KS-7 in an instant if there weren´t other thing on my Want-List :D Merry Christmas in advance :D

Cool video and very cool riffs! But IMO the mix and the guitar tone sounds a little bit thin.
Just picked up the Jackson Dinky JS22-7. Best cheap 7 string if your on a budget.
Who would you say are some of your inspirations? Because I'm picking up a lot of mastodon and slipKNOT in your playing. But your sound is very unique.
Fluff, are you doing anything different for bass processing/tone? It cuts really well right here, way better than it usually does. I love it, despite everyone else complaining about the mix and weaker guitars :P

Hey Fluff short question but big impact. Whats overall the best tube amp to go with for metal if u dont have tons of money?
+King Lord Whats your budget? You can usually pick up a 5150/6505 for around $500-700 on craigslist, ebay or the guitar center used site. You can get a used Mesa Rectifier 4x12 for around $500 as well. The combination of those two with an overdrive pedal and a gate will get you pretty much any metal tone out there, or at least really close to it.

+King Lord You can also find some dual rectifiers for about $700 as well. I have personally always leaned more on the 6505 side, but I love the rectifier as well. I feel like the Dual Rectifier is more applicable to genres besides metal than the 6505 is while still being able to do metal very well.

Agus Gonzalez listen to a Ola video from a yeah ago and then listen to the latest video.. the difference between the tone is so small.. Ryans tone is cleaner so when you listen to a guitar test you can atleast hear a clear difference...

Ola tries to demo all the amps, guitars, and pickups in his specific tone environment: Feared and The Haunted.
Each demo is similar, but there are enough subtle differences that make each video unique.

you're on crack, Ola's tone always sounds huge. Fluff's is hit or miss, mostly miss like this one was.

Question and comment, how do edit your vids? Secondly love the sound and style sir. I would be in a band with you any day. I enjoy the way the low end has balls but it doesn't loose clarity and doesn't feel muffled, it has perfect brightness. Any way great playing :)

I love everything about it but the volume knob placement! With my technique I would knock into it a bunch. I prefer single volume though. Like the review and that you showed all different riffs and tones. Kudos.
Loveee the top on this guitar!! I would actually prefer it with some black, uncovered humbuckers. That's a little to much chrome for my taste!!!

I like your kit-kat death metal riffs! sweet sound as always. You make it sound dark without mud(to my ears). with small earbuds the drums were maybe a 1-2 dB too loud in relation to the guitars.
I wish they'll have it with a longer scale length.
