One of the best guitars I've ever played or owned. Tuned and setup for drop-A. Haven't tuned it in 2 months! Love the semi-hollow for cleans, but it also adds this resonant bottom end to it that's not commonly found in most solid bodies. Love mine!
***** I've had mine for about a week now and it's a great addition to my rig! I have it tuned to drop A# with 12 to 56 tith a wound 0.24 G string and it's a dream to riff on! I also swapped the pickups to an emg 57/66 set (like fluff did) and it made a huge world of difference! my cleans are spanky thanks to the deluxe reverb i play through, but the distortion tones are brutal thanks to my wampler sovereign!
Have to admit I was pretty excited when I watched the video of him talking about making his signature model. He chose the EMG pickups because he wanted a guitar that he could play live and have it sound the same wherever he went. Which to someone like me who only does studio playing, that's why I don't like EMG's. But honestly it sounds amazing the look is growing on me and you can't go wrong with an Evertune.
Great demonstration mate, making this guitar appealing is a very difficult job as DEP have such a distinct and chaotic sound. I loved the song, the tones you got, and it I’m happy to say I bought and still have this g’tar. I should have shared this ages ago but I’m sharing the love now. This man knows his stuff
I love the body style of that guitar. I have one of the X-Tone PD-1's from ESP ( that was only made for a year ) and its my favorite guitar. Glad to see someone else using that body style.
NjuiMusic Ernesto Ramos II ESP was all set to send me their Hetfield Sig model to use in my Hetfield lesson (I'm remaking it). Then they backed out last minute, giving some bs excuse. Not a big deal. I'm just full of butthurt. I still have my depends on.
axeofcreation The LTD version or the ESP version? Which specifically? LTD Snakebyte? They probably don’t have much stock of those they go for a lot since it has Papa Het’s name on it.
Thanks for posting that video, I was skeptical about its design too. I'd still need to see one in person before I'd buy it but I'm seriously interested since it looks like a perfect stage guitar.
Beautiful guitar bro and amazing skills, I really want to try one of those beauties, Cheers and thanks for making this video for the buyers guide lol. I´m really not into the signature guitar stuff but this one really caught my eyes. Take care :)
I realize this video is fairly old now, but the ESP website lists the pickups in this model as Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers, alnico in the neck and ceramic in the bridge. I guess this is the new loadout? Anyone have experience/opinions on this configuration because the EMGs in the video rule.
Just wanted to say thanks for putting this on my radar. Had been considering installing the evertune on one of my guitars but the BW-1's price point is a no brainer. Placed my order last week. (Unfortunately they're out of stock everywhere)
This line of LTD XTONE electric guitars is really FANTASTIC. I have the one in White with Bigsby and Seymour Duncan. I have to admit that it has greatly replaced my old 335 for most every job from gig to studio recording ... The necks on these LTDs are a real FREAKING DREAM. I play everything I used to play with the 335 with the XTONE semi-hollow body now (from Jazz to Rock), and the neck, the action, everything is at least twice better than the old Gibson semi-hollow body. Really ! I'll probably give a try at the Kinman P90 Humbuckers on that guitar, one of the days, just to get that well defined BARK for Bluesy tunes.
Realize this is an older video, but I love the look of the X-Tone and would love to have a higher end version of their $400 model. This thing is killer! Neck-Thru vs. Bolt on. (I'd make sure it had Fluence PUPs personally) and Evertune. I want to try and Evertune so bad! May have to buy one of these!
i thought you were playing silverchair - shade there for a second at 2:22 haha. check it out...the tone sounds almost identical when u play those chords again at 2:29.
About that bridge...in one review the guitar was taken by the strings, bouncing up and down like a Jojo, and it kept it´s tune. So far, so impressive. But can you still play bendings with that bridge? Greets
Good review. This guitar was a big question mark for me and probably ESPs audience. I think you helped them sell some. It's a guitar that looks like you show up to a wedding and rip some Dillinger on.
Just a few thoughts...although I still don't personally care for EMG's, you definitely did an amazing job showing how well that can actually clean up, which is a common misconception. Also, that song in the first half of the video was pure metal badassary, and I thoroughly enjoyed rocking the fuck out to it! \m/
Beautiful guitar! The offset body shape is killinger....that was corny...lol! Never gotten into EMG pups, but I'm really into semi-hollow bodies after getting an Ibanez AS73 (great value btw) 2 years ago. Overall very warm sounding guitars, & they handle tons of tones when needed. Your palm muting skillz are crazy tight bro! Drumming for over 20 years has taken it's toll (carpal T syndrome) on my hand. I'm struggling with getting back my accuracy & dexterity now that I'm back into playing electrics as of late. Two thumbs way up on your review. You have become one of my fav channels for all things guitar & such. Keep up the awesome work Fluff! !!R0cK oN!! \m/ B34N \m/
Yes I gotta admit im not crazy about that evertune bridge ... BUT I'd say IF I had the funds to afford that guitar it definatly wouldn't deter me from buying it!! LOVE the uniqueness of it & the black transparent flamed maple !!
Flips .... its kinda that saying of things being tradition ..... be like someone taking a 62' Fender Stratocaster & modding it from the vintage tremolo to a 2 point or Floyd rose. I have no problems with a new bridge that brings tuning stability ... but that's a lot of hardware/metal to do so.
Anthony Nelson They kill sustain and tone. Active pickups don't have a problem with the tone due to built-in preamp, but ech. I don't like them at all.
Hey, Fluff! I was looking into getting the BW and tuning it down to Drop Bb, but with an evertune, i'm curious as to how that can be done! All the clips i see of people restringing guitars with an Evertune never really specify how i should approach alternate tunings. I'm assuming you would get to "Zone 2" and start bringing the pitch down at the saddle, but a part of me feels like that is SUPER wrong! I'm also wondering what string gauges you were using in the EMG 57/66 demo which was in Drop B! sorry about the loaded comment, but i'd like to be completely sure of what i can and cannot do with an Evertune loaded guitar!
***** You absolutely can tune down to Bb with the evertune. You can do anything with the evertune that you can do without, it's just a different mechanism that's all.
Hey Fluff! Could you share about the second input jack behind the guitar with the magnetic cover for Ben's wireless pack? Does it come stock or is it only for his personal guitar? Also does the F-hole somehow makes the sound more "messy" when distorted in your opinion? and btw, awesome stuff at 1.29!!!
I love the looks of that guitar i dont care about evertunes. The real thing is the 1600 pricetag. As much as i like it at that price id go for maybe a used e2
I know it's your choice dude, I never said otherwise, I just don't see why you would use the Kemper instead of the legit Dual, it just confused me. Keep doing what you do man, you've got sick chops whatever gear you're using, didn't mean any offense, if you prefer the Kemper, go for it.
I would buy this guitar but the headstock...UGH...I promised myself I would never buy another guitar that has slanted angle to tuners from the nut. I know the Evertune probably fixes the issues with tuning but it's the fucking principle...WHY DO THEY USE THIS DESIGN IT SUCKS!?!?!
lovely shape and f hole, but what the fuck is going on with LTD making the ugliest inlays possible? apart from the alexi's jackson ripoff they all have ugly inlays...
Ι have to say that this is one of the best if not the best mixing you have ever made... Man what balls ?
By far one of the best guitars i have ever owned! Evertune bridge is awesome. I keep the tuning in drop A# and it plays and sounds phenomenal!
One of the best guitars I've ever played or owned. Tuned and setup for drop-A. Haven't tuned it in 2 months! Love the semi-hollow for cleans, but it also adds this resonant bottom end to it that's not commonly found in most solid bodies. Love mine!

Jacob Kirkbride It has Fishman Fluence pickups, you can get an active or passive sound out of them
Richard Aaron at the time of the video the signature had emg
You're still like the only one to have done a demo of this guitar. A fantastic demo, by the way!! Congratulations Fluff I love your videos
this probably my favorite track he used to demo a guitar with
There's something about an elegant guitar that can rip your face off that is so appealing to me. \M/
Nice one Fluff! I've been waiting for a demo of this guitar. :D
I love the body style of that guitar. I have one of the X-Tone PD-1's from ESP ( that was only made for a year ) and its my favorite guitar. Glad to see someone else using that body style.
That is probably one of the clearest and most defined tones I've ever heard. WOW.
Hi mate thank you again for a great up date , you hit number one on my list so keep it going thanks
Great job Fluff! Love the look on that guitar, plus Evertune rules! But sadly I'm not a fan of ESP right now...
right now?
Ok, you can't say something like that and not explain ;)
NjuiMusic Ernesto Ramos II ESP was all set to send me their Hetfield Sig model to use in my Hetfield lesson (I'm remaking it). Then they backed out last minute, giving some bs excuse. Not a big deal. I'm just full of butthurt. I still have my depends on.

I literally ordered this guitar based on your review. I can’t wait to get this in hand!
Same happened to me.
Lately he sold his BW-1 and he said he had regrets about that.
Yes it’s a killer guitar
@@m.r.4455 it really is. I got mine a couple of days ago & made a video.
Hearing you play junkhead made my day, great video!
Great video! The guitar looks awesome and sounds amazing.
sounds awesome! looks awesome! i love esp's stuff! great demo man
Thanks for posting that video, I was skeptical about its design too. I'd still need to see one in person before I'd buy it but I'm seriously interested since it looks like a perfect stage guitar.
Great Playing Once again as for the Guitar this is now on my Shopping List
Beautiful guitar bro and amazing skills, I really want to try one of those beauties, Cheers and thanks for making this video for the buyers guide lol. I´m really not into the signature guitar stuff but this one really caught my eyes. Take care :)

I got one a couple of months ago, and HOLY FUCK!!! Drop D sounds EVIL AF

I was on the fence, thanks for knocking me off in the right direction :-)
It must take forever to make these videos. With all the editing and audio mixing. Sounds perfect sir.
dooooooood, I don't typically follow channels like this but I love this guitar review and you kill it with that thing. Sub'd, Cheers!
Still one of my favourite looking guitars that Ive seen, so purdy :3
Did you notice any spring resonance (evertune) like the one I hear with guitars equipped with floyd rose bridges ?
Why has thos not been anwsered yet?
Yes there is!
Hoang Nguyen Nguyen oh good I like a little spring resonance
Love this guitar and the jam!!'
for me the whole guitar makes total sense.
Since it's a semi-acoustic neck-thru, I guess the unplugged sound and cleans are phenomenal (and EMGs for heavy stuff)
very nice tone
Bought one of these. Its awesome.
They come w fishman fluence modern pickups now...think I'm gettin me one lol. Evertune bridge...bad ass pickups..killer looks... done deal lol
i thought you were playing silverchair - shade there for a second at 2:22 haha. check it out...the tone sounds almost identical when u play those chords again at 2:29.
love the Junkhead bro
sick playing!!!
Have you thought about doing a new review since they now use Fishman Fluence pickups?
Hey Fluff, could you let me know how if you are still diggin' this guitar? Pros, cons?
Thank you brother!!!
love that neck trought, but ***** you preffer the evertune than a strings trought the body?
About that bridge...in one review the guitar was taken by the strings, bouncing up and down like a Jojo, and it kept it´s tune. So far, so impressive. But can you still play bendings with that bridge? Greets
I heard Junkhead by Alice in Chains in this demo... Was I correct?
Alice in Chains is one of the bands that inspired him to pick up guitar, particularly the Dirt album, so most likely yes
Good review. This guitar was a big question mark for me and probably ESPs audience. I think you helped them sell some. It's a guitar that looks like you show up to a wedding and rip some Dillinger on.
those markers are sweet.

Great!
You've gotta try the Fishman Fluence Modern version!!! 🤘
I thought there's a wireless system installed in the cavity in these model.
Yes I gotta admit im not crazy about that evertune bridge ... BUT I'd say IF I had the funds to afford that guitar it definatly wouldn't deter me from buying it!! LOVE the uniqueness of it & the black transparent flamed maple !!

You should do a demo with another mayones guitar. That be awesome
Some serious guitar face there
Thx for the video! What do you think, will it sound nice in Drop A?
In wich country do they craft this beauty...?
Hey Ryan, would the EC 1000 LTD singlecut model with the Evertune bridge and a 24 3/4 scale neck sound more beefier/chunkier than the BW1?? thx.
Stephen McKee Honestly, no. I've owned both EC1000 evertunes, the one with emg and the one with SD pups, and neither compare to this bad boy
should i purchase a mesa dual rec over a engl powerball ii?
Fucking epic song! Sounded like Opeth, Lamb of God etc. Great stuff, really. Rock on Fluff \,,/
Hey, Fluff! I was looking into getting the BW and tuning it down to Drop Bb, but with an evertune, i'm curious as to how that can be done!

I'm assuming you would get to "Zone 2" and start bringing the pitch down at the saddle, but a part of me feels like that is SUPER wrong!

***** Thx man! Awesome video as always!
Dude, you have to check out the new revised version with Fishman Fluence pickups!!! It’s something stupid!!!
Fluff... ever considered tabbing out these songs?!?! :)
Hey Ryan, your channel is very cool! I was wondering what drums plug-in you were using for your recordings? Thanks!
I love the looks of that guitar i dont care about evertunes. The real thing is the 1600 pricetag. As much as i like it at that price id go for maybe a used e2
I make faces like that when I play insane riffs and solos
GATDAYUM! Killer!
super
you probably don't have time but it'd be badass if you did a whole album. that song in the beginning was really awesome.
ook lol. I'm still fairly new to your channel. merp
just listen to every time i die lol
@@km606x damn this is old. Lol. I love every time I die!
what is the name of song from 0.06 ?
It's nice not having to tune in between takes, isn't it?
Where can we download theses Kemper profiles ?
AIC!
Fluff, every time you say "At any rate.." I touch myself.
I thought you should know.
Dat riff at 1:30
So, instead of literally using the Dual Rec behind you, you decide to use the Kemper instead? Hmm, logical
I know it's your choice dude, I never said otherwise, I just don't see why you would use the Kemper instead of the legit Dual, it just confused me. Keep doing what you do man, you've got sick chops whatever gear you're using, didn't mean any offense, if you prefer the Kemper, go for it.

BUT DOES IT DJ0NT?
Sadly. No
Guitar nice, song needs work.
WTF?!?
I would buy this guitar but the headstock...UGH...I promised myself I would never buy another guitar that has slanted angle to tuners from the nut. I know the Evertune probably fixes the issues with tuning but it's the fucking principle...WHY DO THEY USE THIS DESIGN IT SUCKS!?!?!

They're based on Dillinger Escape Plan's logo
Sounds horrible. Just as anything with active EMG's on it. Absolutely plastic shitty compression
what about the emg 57/66
Fluff school of guitar: spend a ton of money on gear to make me more beterrerer...lul...garbage player
