    Don’t know who you’ve been listening to, Kyle, but I for one am certainly interested in entire engine rebuilds, outside AND inside! 😉🔧👍
    In the case of this machine, I would much rather have seen everything you did. It’s all about the details - that’s how I learn.

    • @Kylebythecreek
      @Kylebythecreek  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I’m listening to TH-cam analytics. Nobody watches the videos I make about engines. I have more subscribers than views on those videos, so the conclusion is that even subscribers of my channel won’t watch them

      @@Rein_Ciarfella I’ve never claimed to hold all the knowledge, I’m learning too. But you’d think small engine guys would watch an engine rebuild. Maybe this one will seem more appealing!

    Kyle, I’m not convinced that your conclusion, based on Google analytics, is valid.
    I can’t say why, to be frank, but my gut tells me your video library at this point is too small to be statistically valid to draw those sorts of conclusions.
    What I can say is if you continue doing your best to create with excellent production values, eventually the viewership will change and grow as your videos get into more feeds.
    It would probably also help if you commented in other creators’ channels, as some of the best channels I’ve discovered were from following up on commenters to see what they did on their channels.
    Also, for an example of someone who produces extremely detailed and very long videos, often including total engine rebuilds, James Condon has an extremely successful channel. My research indicates he’s pulling down in excess of $24K/year from TH-cam and his are the longest videos I’ve ever seen. He recently did one that was 2 hours and 8 minutes long. Surprisingly, he chose not to make $ from advertising, so there are no interruptions in his videos. He’s totally transparent when he screws up and he responds to as many comments as he can - just as you do - and for me that’s a way to get a loyal viewership and grow your channel really well. Alex does the same and I watch him just as much, for the same reason.
    FWIW, in 3 years I’ve logged well over 5K hours on TH-cam, teaching myself small engine work. I get notifications from about 20 channels and am subscribed to about 60. For me, it’s TH-cam University and I’m about ready to complete my Master’s thesis. 😉🔧👍
    I’m also in many Facebook small engine groups, although I don’t learn as much there. That said, there are some very knowledgeable people in some of those groups who put in a lot of time helping others. I also contribute here and there to pay it forward when I think I can actually help.

      Thanks I appreciate that! Don’t worry, I’m not making plans to stop engine related content. But I can’t help but notice what videos of mine do well and which ones don’t. Maybe someday I’ll be able to make a 2 hour generator video like James (he’s awesome).

      That's a good upgrade. I have a 40 inch cut murray it had a 12.5 horsepower Briggs, I switched to a 25 horsepower Kohler. The wiring was a little different, my biggest problem was the Briggs had a 1 inch crankshaft and the Kohler 1 1/8 . I was fortunate I had the complete mower a Craftsman GT 5000 I used the transmission pulley and then welded other parts together so I could use the manual deck engagement. Works very well. No grass to tall, or too thick.
      Would enjoy hearing how your engine swap went. Glad you enjoy your mower.

      @@bertgrau3934 Mine went Fairly well & easy the Kohler pulley Drive Belt shaft slid right on to the Briggs Crankshaft & bolted in easy. The Engine I bought had been sitting in the Snapper Lawn Tractor out in his Yard for awhile as the Starter was fairly Rusted & Turned slowly at First Starting Attempt. but took it off cleaned up the Inside now I just have to put it back together in the Next Day or two the only that really stumped me for awhile at First were the wires that came out from under the Briggs Flywheel. But by looking at a Couple of Wiring Diagrams i figured it out. I also worked as a John Deere Apprentice Mechanic back Home in Canada for a Good Bit that's how mine went Thank you for your Interest Sir

    Not saying you were wrong mounting the deck, just an observation. It looked like if you first installed the lower bolt on each side, you could then raise the front of the deck to align the other ones. May have been less work than trying to move the main frame.😮 BTW, I would have watched the long version of the rebuild. 😊
