This was when PlayStation was at its peak.. I miss those days! This was great for people who just wanted to chill and hang out without having to buy a specific game.
Me and my then girlfriend (now wife) were on Playstation Home as 2010 was coming to an end, and we have loads of screenshots of the 2011 New Year Winter Event. The game was still very busy then, and we had so much fun joining random conversations. I still bust out the Playstation Home dances at parties.
I really wish i had a ps3 back then. Sadly i was just 6 in 2010

I have very fond memories of "sitting" in a "bowling alley," waiting for my turn to play.

I was so obsessed with this game, i remember buying the wrong dance pack and I had to dance “capoeira” at the virtual club it was hilarious lol. I wish I could play this back in its prime again.
We seriously should have gotten a sequel/full release/upgrade on ps4, hell where is Home Ps5 version? Sony dropped the ball on something that could have been HUGE!
I was in my teens when playstation home closed this was an amazing experience, I feel bad for the youngsters never experience this platform.

The memories on psHome I was on there every day all day I miss it
Playstation home was just awesome, so much fun, so many random people, it was awesome to explore the public spaces, do glitches, customize private spaces, customize character, role play, for someone with social anxiety it was a great place to meet new people and practice social skills
Takes me back to getting Arkham City and playing it for hours on end and then hopping on free PSN to play COD or get on Home and make new friends it was such an optimistic time for gaming
I remember waiting for this to release back in the day aswell, watching the beta videos on youtube before it came out. How time has passed...
It was ahead of it's time. Now would be the perfect time to bring it back!

What a time to be alive 😭 I wanna cry seeing this man me my brothers and my friends grew up playing this it was the best ever better than sims in my opinion something they should have done for sims made it 3rd person instead of 4th and have it online to chat with others
I had so much fun playing this as an 11 year old in 2012, made some gaming buddies that i still play GTA and COD with today

Imagine if they released an official home for ps5. I would buy a ps5 finally if that's the case. I'm a pc gamer but I would go back to console just for that. Imagine entire cities where you can travel without just loading them or instant traveling if you don't want to. The only loading necessary would be loading people's private spaces.

I used to play this back in the day.. It was such an amazing "game".. I loved how you were able to unlock different time limited skins and stuff from doing missions.. When i found out it was gone, it made me so sad.. Im a gamer, and i have been gaming my whole life pretty much.. Playstation home had a special kind of feeling to it, that no other game had.. It was a kind of relaxing social thing you would log into and complete the new missions to unlock stuff, and show it off and so forth..
This isn't PSH, this is like a mod.. and I miss PSH so much! I loved that game and wish it came to PS4 & PS5.

I remember playing PS Home years ago before it's shut down. While it's nothing special, I do find it interesting that you could meet people online and maybe ask them to play some PS3 online games with you or just chill and do a bunch of dancing in PS Home as a result.

Playstation Home was pretty cool. I walked around seeing others around and just chilling out.

Had so many memories in this game met so many people and made friends I was about 11 years old and it felt so cool like I was going out in real life .

This was definitely one of my top 3 favorite parts of owning a 60gb backwards comp ps3 from launch. I wish they’d make a 2024 4k version of this. Imagine the world and options 😳😱
All of the unique areas were so fun to go through and got you interested in a game before they came out. If it wasnt for PS Home I probably wouldnt have played certain games growing up

Omfg thank you, ive been telling people it was some weird silent hill mini game!! how you'd have to wait in line for 30 minutes like it was a wait for roller coaster!! Ily so much for this
@@uhoh48 Haha no problem. I remember finding that mini game very anxiety inducing but I couldn’t stop playing it 😂 Siren blood curse itself I found very effective too when it came out.

i hear you bro, i miss those times its really sad these days I game most of the time alone too, most of my friends have dissapeared and the onlines one i met are gone aswell especially after the ps5 came out. recently busted out my ps3 aswell but it had wifi issues still works on ethernet, anyways I tried to mod it but it wouldnt work, so i bought 2 other ps3s both for $70 with 3 controllers and 6 or 7 games but that dont matter i just wanted it to jailbreak and mod. tryna see what games are still available and if people are still online lol. in the meantime im waiting for an available jailbreak for my ps4 and just bought an og xbox to mod and get xbox live aswell and see how live is again.

I remember playing home in the private beta and doing the dance glitch to get on top of the ledge you weren’t allowed to, and seeing everyone going crazy asking how 😂 good times

I definitely miss this game. I started with MEEZ around 2007 but then the 2D side scrolling got boring so I switched to PS HOME and played it all the way to 2015, investing all my allowance on virtual homes and clothing. Was bummed when it shut down, but then 2020 during the pandemic, VRChat got my attention. I still play it to this day, but I would love to see a PS HOME 2 in the future 👍
I jused HOME allot with friends, playing Pool and bowling, great fun.
I use to bring other people to play Tag with me in that sea side apartment, I put up a maze in there using signage (I think it was Watchmen signage) as the fencing.

Nowadays, if they did a ps home 2 or something, it would be soooo much better, they could even bring it to steam, it would def make things more populated and give more people a chance to try it out. I miss it, can't deny
I never got to play playstation home but one of the best memories i had for it when my brother was playing bowling on it. He would type he was the best wii sports bowler and he absolutely suck at bowling in this game.

i just got a good deal on a complete in box ps vita 1001 in really good condition with 2 games and the hard to find 64gb sony sd card. cant wait to mod it.

I seem to recall rather a lot of irrational hatred directed at this app back then. Not just Playstation players, but games journalists(both print and online) would regularly talk about how much they hated Home. Also, there were so many hackers on the app. There were areas of Home that just were not safe to visit(Star Wars Cantina is the first area that springs immediately to mind). As much as I liked Home I can remember that it had several problems that Sony never addressed. That and the application would have outages and bugs that would take the devs forever to fix. Still, I would love to see this project succeed. I miss that app.
