A useful look-see. They look good for 28mm and 'Epic' basing. But would be too wide for anything else such as 15mm, 10mm and 6mm forces for most other rules systems. For example my 6mm Napoleonics are 30mm wide bases used in Black Powder & Bloody Big Battles and road columns would look like they are on a motorway. If Warlord would like to do 'half-scale' MDF widths then they may open up the market place wider.

The river makes sense to only have 1 set as you won’t generally have forking etc, what’s your opinion on the roads, with splits etc would it be better to get 2 packs of them?
Thank you for reviewing these, I was unsure what they’d be like. I like the artwork, still not sure if I’ll pick these up or some of the new self cut ones from Geek Villain. I’m mostly using soft mats with contouring for historical games, so these rigid ones might not suit.
They don’t look half bad mate. Shame they leave you a sticker short, but warlord do funny things all the time. Off the top of my head, I might try putting some of the non-slip matting stuff you can get. It’s pretty cheap and would probably work a treat to stop everything moving around. 🙂

Looks like you have a bit of work with the roads and rivers. What is the material for the stickers? Paint some latex on the back or go to Ikea and get some non slip mat stuff to put on the back.
The stickers are vinyl I think. I was thinking of putting some silicone on the backs of them. But the mat from ikea sounds like a good idea. Plus it’ll give me an excuse to have meatballs chips and gravy lol
Useful video. Too wide for me though as I need to be able to use them for 15mm WW2 / ancients as well. You are using the standard 60mm Epic bases so the roads must be 70-80mm wide from the looks of it.

I think you could probably get away with 15mm but I agree anything smaller and the roads wouldn’t really work. The river would still be ok though.

I think 2 sets of roads would be better. It’s a pity they don’t do a add on pack for them with more junctions.

I do like the flexi roads. Much more useful for gaming. I’ll check Geek Villain out.

To be charitable it is a spare, to be realistic it is cost cutting. One could ask are we getting one less or one more?
Just a bit odd they don’t just put that one extra sticker in the set? I’d imagine it’s just a bit of bean counting and looks a bit tight on their part

That’s true. Might be a bit uneven with silicone. Apparently IKEA has non slip mats.
