    It is not yet the best time to buy. The value of used vehicles will continue to keep dropping until the Fed lowers interest rates. The economy is slowing down & layoffs continue. The number of individuals who can afford these type of vehicles and the astronomical rents/mortgages will continue to dwindle. The reversion to the mean for the depreciation cycle has just begun.

      Nobody can predict the future. Keep in mind that market prices are a mirror for future expectations. So the price bottom will come before the economic bottom. And at the economic bottom prices will already start increasing!

    Ready for a 991.2 Turbo S, but waiting for a low mileage 992 Turbo to get to under $200K. It is an exercise in patience, and mental preparation to lose $1K/month in depreciation. I am not there yet.

    Wait till the recession really kicks in. These cars are going to drop double digit percentages.

      @@alexlee3121That’s what the government wants you to believe in order to keep spending particularly in an election year, however, NEVER in the history of the US has an inverted yield curve not been followed by a recession. Until recently the debt curve was extremely inverted and it was inverted for a usually long period of time. All data indications point to a recession, but this could be the one time when the data is wrong and the politicians are press are right on this issue. I lean towards believing the data, but you do your thing.

      It's important to buy cars when interest rates and prices are low. My financial advisor also gave me the same advice. When rates and prices are low, it can save you money on financing and make the overall cost more affordable.

      My financial advisor advises buying cars when interest rates and prices are low. However, he also cautions against it right now due to the hidden costs of car ownership, like insurance and maintenance. He helps me plan for these expenses and manages my portfolio to ensure financial stability. It's all about making strategic decisions and having a well-rounded financial plan.

    The better value would be to buy a 991.2 Turbo or Turbo S since the prices are not that much higher than 991.1 cars but you’re getting a much newer car, with fewer miles. that also performs better.

      I disagree ,as of today 09/17/24, there is a 40k difference (around 95k-100k for 991.1 and 135k-140k for 991.2). The 991.1 is the best bang for the buck, that difference dont justify the .2 version

    I strongly prefer the adjusted numbers, both for mileage and inflation. To me it helps sort through the noise.

    I'd like it if your charts included 2019. Seeing pre-pandemic prices really shows how insanely high prices are now, even if they've come down or stabilized since 2021. Of course, maybe people are willing to pay the outrageous prices of today, so maybe 2019 doesn't matter anymore.

    992.2 is due out next year, I would not trust 992.1 to hold value that well anymore after the facelift comes out

    There’s an abnormally low number of 991.1 turbo s trim level for sale. It’s usually 100% to 150% higher.

    Just an observation, if this video is supposed to be about Porsche 911 turbos.
    Why is there mention a few times of Ferrari’s, irrespective if they are turbos or not???🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @fourwheeltrader
      @fourwheeltrader  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I refer a few times to a Ferrari video that i made prior to this video because some of the dynamics are the same in both markets. This shows that the developments that you see in this video are not isolated to the Turbo market only, but are broader market trends.

    You can expect all 911 Models to drop in price by 40 to 60% by march 2023... you have no idea of what's coming. By this period next year all prices will be at minimum half of what you see today.

    • @amirdado9689

      What are you smoking? 😂

    • @AbyNeon
      @AbyNeon ปีที่แล้ว

      @@amirdado9689 911 prices during 2 years of covid went up 40, this spring will be 2 years that covid has been over, prices will not go back to same as pre covid but 40 below them, also many who bough those cars then are going to start selling them this winter if they are not to go to be completely dumped because of them falling apart.
      You need to understand that in this moment prices that are being asked for eg 991.1 or 997.2 are precisely sticker price of when they was sold 7/10 years ago.
      911 Porsche are not diamonds nor gold, they are entry level sports cars mostly made of Volkswagen quality plastic and parts.
      Another thing to consider us that in the US market people are NOT getting 3K dollars a month for free like it was during covid, many who got those cars back then will start being delinquent as they wont be able to finish paying for their purchase, and the same is in europe. Mercedes BMW delinquencies are at a all time high, and so are all Porsche.
