      @@prettydiamonds947 heyy ! I like the product I got the red mask everyone was raving about and I actually really like it ! I do feel like it removes the junk under my skin and In my pores ... the cleanser is great ! It does remove makeup and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry when I rinse it off.. the serum I got I feel like doesn’t do much tbh although with all the other steps (moisturizer and oil) it does leave my skin super dewy but it hasn’t removed any textured skin that I have and it also doesn’t prevent blemishes because I would still get some ! Hope this helps :)

    Great video, like watching Beauty Within. You are the first TH-camr who I have watched that don't over exfoliate their skin while using The Ordinary products. Most of them use the peeling solution and then go in with the glycolic toner right after and some even use a mechanical exfoliator such as a spin brush when cleansing their face.
    Thank you for including the importance of using sunscreen.

    • @tanicha
      @tanicha  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you! I’m very careful with my AHA/BHAs. I only use one a night in my routine - if you want to switch it up, use on different nights of the week. And yes! Sunscreen is everything especially when you’re using a lot of active ingredients - have to protect your skin!

      You can apply the plant derived squalane to cleansed skin after toners, serums, and other water-based treatments. Since you have dry skin, you should also pair it with another moisturizer for added hydration!

    I loved your skincare routine! I would only recommend to switch the micelles water and introduce a cleansing oil as this will remove absolutely all your makeup (eyes included) and then you go with the cleanser. I recommend you the camomile one from TheBodyShop it’s amazing and super gentle for your skin! Way better than nivelar water and way less harsh on the skin (and you don’t have to use cotton pads which is awesome for the environment !!)

    I would recommend first doing a double cleanse, using a balm to take your makeup off instead of miscellar water then going in with a gel Or water based cleanser since you say you have oily skin. Squalane is great but it’s heavier and probably more suitable for drier skin types but other than that I loved your routine and products!!

    I have similar issues. However I’m starting to feel the need to add an anti aging product as well. What would you add and how would you set up the morning and night regimen? I’m so overwhelmed lol but I keep coming back to your video 😌

    • @tanicha
      @tanicha  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d try incorporating a retinol - it has amazing anti-aging benefits!!✨ I’d only use it at night after water-based serums but before moisturizers - make sure you also remove glycolic from the routine. So in my night routine, I’d remove the glycolic acid and replace it with a gentler (non-AHA toner), apply hyaluronic acid then the retinol (and finish out with any moisturizers). Try it out once a week and if your skin doesn’t get irritated, you can increase the amount of times you use it. I recently bought this one from the ordinary bc I heard how great retinol is for your skin: rstyle.me/cz-n/d72h4zct5n7

So my question is it ok to use the niacimide in the morning or shd I use it at night. Given that I might be in the sun sometimes

      Because it’s a peptide ingredient, I wouldn’t use it with direct acids like L-ascorbic acid or AHA/BHAs. Just to be safe, if you’re going to use it at night, just remove glycolic from your routine and you can alternate using those two products every other night.

    • @tanicha
      @tanicha  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      When you use the AHA/BHA peel you shouldn’t use any other aha/bha products like glycolic, lactic or salicylic bc too many exfoliating products will irritate your skin. So you should always alternate nights, use the peel one night a week and you can use the glycolic or lactic acid the remaining nights

    This has been a very great informative video. I’m looking to buy The ordinary products because my hyperpigmentation is getting crazy this last few months so I need help please 🙏🏿. Would you recommend this routine or change the order? A.M- 1. Cerave foaming cleanser, 2. Alpha Arbutin 2% , 3. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc , 4.Natural moisturizing factors +HA, 5. Coola SPF 30. P.M- 1. Cerave foaming cleanser, 2. SeaBreeze Sensitive Astringent 3. Natural Moisturizing Factor 4. AHA and BHA peeling solution every other Friday or Saturday night. I’m not sure about the azalaic acid suspension product yet. Thank you.

      2. Alpha Arbutin 2%
      3. Niacinamide 10% + Zinc
      4. Natural moisturizing factors +HA
      5. Coola SPF 30
      PM:
      1. Cerave foaming cleanser
      2. AHA and BHA peeling solution OR SeaBreeze Sensitive Astringent (don't use both on the same night, pick one. Great job only using the AHA peeling solution once a week!)
      3. Natural Moisturizing Factors

      I pretty much use all these products everyday, morning and night and they’ve really helped with the texture of my skin and fading away my dark spots. Sometimes I’ll do a mask or add in an extra acne-fighting cleanser if I wear makeup. Let me know what you end up picking up, you’re going to love them!🥰
      Also, it’s absolutely okay to wear makeup after. The entire morning routine is a great base/acts as the perfect primer!

      Tanicha Rose ok that’s great to know. I bought the ascorbyl glucoside solution as a substitute for the magnesium as it’s sold out in the Uk. I was thinking to use it only in the morning after the hyaluronic acids and Niacinamide but don’t know if that’s too much water based serums used at a time for the morning. I guess it’ll have to be trial and error.

    • @tanicha
      @tanicha  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It could be due to a few reasons (these are just a few):
      1. You could be applying in the wrong order - I'd recommend using, hyaluronic first, then niacinamide, then the moisturizer (and of course sunscreen after).
      2. You could be applying too much product - try applying a little less product
      3. You could be rushing through the steps - try taking your time, and leaving ~10 seconds in between each product
      4. You could be rubbing in the products - pat and press, don’t rub
      5. You may need to exfoliate - try adding an exfoliating acid to your routine to get rid of layers of dead skin
      Let me know if these help!!

    Hey! Great video. I watched your 5 product video and saw you talked about not combining acids at the same time because of irritation. In your night routine I saw you used glycolic acid and followed with azelaic acid. Does this not irritate your skin? I was thinking of trying the same thing. Thanks!

    • @tanicha
      @tanicha  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good question! So my skin is not sensitive at all and can handle both azelaic and glycolic at the same time. I also use a very small amount of azelaic around my problem areas (lower cheeks/chin) and glycolic everywhere else. But the short answer is yes! you can use them together bc azelaic is not the same type of acid as glycolic. I’d also recommend patch testing to make sure your skin doesn’t get irritated by the two products. I did my research and I ultimately used this explanation from Paula’s choice:
      Although azelaic acid, has an exfoliating effect (just like AHAs and BHA, the pH value is important), it does not exfoliate in the same way and not as effectively as glycolic acid and lactic acid (AHAs) or salicylic acid (BHAs).
      In contrast, azelaic acid has an added value to AHAs and BHA when it comes to improving uneven skin tone and other skin concerns.
      There is no reason not to use an AHA or BHA exfoliant in addition to a product with azelaic acid. In fact, it can be the perfect combination for tackling different skin concerns, ranging from bumps to uneven skin tone and minimising the signs of ageing.
      Let me know if this helps!😘
