I am going to have to try this. I got rid of tons of wood block stamps but I still have a lot of them. They sit and gather dust because I really like my Misti.
Very helpful video! I’ve been thinking about sorting my wood mounted stamps, keeping the ones I love and selling the rest. I am concerned about the amount of space needed to store wood mounted stamps and this is such a great idea!! Thank you!
Hmm. Now I've got to see how many of the block stamps I have. And be sure I have all the other supplies before I try/do this. Lol Thanks for Sharing. I'm all for saving space since I'm running out. 😅 thanks again
I’ve done the same thing and yes the space you save is wonderful. Thank you for mentioning about the way you reattach the stamped image to the back of rubber stamp as that is the one thing I was still having issues with. As to when I store them in the new “envelope “ I mount mine on a paper that I laminated with the images stamped on it to help me find their homes later when doing a lot of stamping and not sticking to one stamp set in the project
Wow thank you so much. Have a ton of stamps taking up a ton of room really don’t want to let go of them. Now I can reduce the space by at least 2/3. Yeah!
I did this with my wood mounts and it was scary, but sooo glad I did it! Wish I knew about warming them up in the microwave, great tip, that would have helped me a lot!☺️. Thanks for sharing!
It’s an adhesive that stays tacky after it dries, I just put small dots all around on the sticker on the back of the stamp. The adhesive is sold in the fabric section of the big box craft stores. Hope that helps!
Thanks for sharing your process. I remove my stamps off the the wooden block the same way you do. I did not like the Tack It All Over (but then I covered the entire back of the stamp with it, which was recommended in the video I watch, too bad I didn’t think of trying a couple small areas with the glue). I ended up using Crafters Companion EZMount Static Cling Mountain Cushion (it come in regular and thin foam). I was using CD cases to put my red rubber stamps in because the fit was too tight for the sleeves, I never thought about using I smaller card to put the stamps 😂 on, that will certainly be cheaper than the CD cases. Thanks!
I took my Stampin Up stamps off the wood years ago, and they work great. I made envelopes out of hard to use paper for storing them. But, I have other stamps like Hero Arts, PSX, DJ Inkers, and I’m afraid to try them. Have you removed any of those and how did it go?
I had mostly stampin up, I did remove some other random stamps (as long as they had plastic stickers on the block) and I had no issues. The cheap stamps (think dollar bin from back in the day) were a little messy.
Thank you so much!! I love, love, your rainbow stamp. God is so good!!
Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you for making this so easy for me to transfer my wood stamps.
I’m so glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
There is an adhesive foam that other people have been using in their videos but it is so expensive in comparison. Thank you so much for sharing this!
I agree that the foam is expensive, so that’s why I tried so hard to save it on the stamps!
Just now found you and am so glad I did. This is what I have wanted to do for so long! Thanks Amy, now I am following you.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you found this helpful! It’s a big project but sooo worth it!
Thanks for this straightforward video. Glad you showed how you stored the stamps.
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you found it helpful!
This is EXCELLENT. I must have like 500 stamps. I am going to slowly do this process. Thank You !!

Thank you for watching! I was worried at first, but sooo glad once I did it!
Me- too! Years ago!It helps to put the wooden blocks with rubber stamp in a microwave for 40 seconds and it will peel off much easily.
@@Lana.USA. the microwave really did help!
Need to get started with this project. Thanks for the info!
So glad it was helpful for you!
You are so organized!
Haha, not really. But I am trying!
Brilliant idea! Thank you so much!

Thank you. I’m unclear how you used the ‘over and over’. Could you explain please? Thank you.

Any suggestions of what to do with the wood? I did this year's ago and still holding onto the wood blocks😊
I know I’ve heard that some people make them into small crafts, but I haven’t done anything with them. Pinterest has ideas! Thanks for watching.

I have a question,my stamps have a layer of felt on the back, how do I get rid of it?😢
Is it felt or the cling foam? I’ve never seen felt on the back of stamps.
@@withlovebyamyIt's felt between the red layer and the wood
That’s interesting. What brand of stamps are you seeing that with?
