    Great idea Natasa! We have a store here called DAISO. They sell these large clear containers similar to the DVD holder you show but are flat. No indention. I love using them because the inside is sick and the stamps will “cling” to the inside. Holds many stamps too!

    Hi, Natasa. I keep my stamps in a folder too. I actually have three folders. I also painted the names of the stamp sets on the front of the binder/folder. I like being able to flip through and see them. Mine are categorized mainly by age, old to new. Thanks for sharing this and especially how you clean your stamps. I do your method most of the time too. I love your channel, your voice and your fabulous creativity. I also think you are one of the best at describing how you create. You are a great teacher.

    Natasha I have them all over my floor🌸my stamps and dies are taking over my house. But thank you for showing me how to keep them neatly. I love stamping and well I just don’t clean the house that much. Stamping and sending cards is so much better than cleaning! 😂 I love your crafts you are my favorite crafter on you tube!

    I had to move to a ring binder. I do like this system. I use a baby wipe to clean my stamps but if I’m using a lot of stamps, I use a styrofoam tray with a wet paper towel on it and just let my stamps sit on that til I’m done.

    Hi Natasa. Awesome and timely video because I've been trialling different ways to store my own stamps. I started using a mini expanding file but I had too many stamps and it was too bulky so just at the weekend, I went to BigW and paid $7 for a bundle of three white rectangle baskets. The basket is slightly wider and shorter than the stamp packet. I keep my stamps in their original packets, and store them upright in one basket. That way, I can just flick through them and pull out the pack I want. Because the basket is shorter, you can easily see the stamp sets as you fan through them. Having said that, I have trimmed some of the surplus card stock so they are all neatly the same height. I use the other two matching baskets - one for my die cuts, and the other for my embossing folders. I had also contemplated pulling the individual stamps off their backing and grouping them in categories like you Natasa but for now, I think the system I'm using suits my purpose. This of course might change, as my craft stash grows. I do like watching craft organisation videos as it gives me ideas on how to maximise my storage space. So keep them coming.

    This is a brilliant idea. After watching I made one, out of page protectors (5.5 x 8.5") which I had on hand. It was waaaay too thick to fit the small binder I have, so I "researched" and found a way to make a cover incorporating binder rings. It is a chunky monkey and I love it! Thank you for your wonderful videos. You are an excellent teacher.

    very cool idea! I have only a few stamps and thought about how to store more if I buy more, what I definitely want to; I think I would like to use an A5 Folder with a spine, file folder (google translator tells me, it is named), but yours is very good looking, too, and maybe I would use some sticking out tabs with names (flowers, words and so on) so that I don't have to flip through all of my stamps every time I search for one :)

    I use a large 2 ring binder (UK) and special tabbed pages that are made for sticking stamps onto. I sorted out all my stamps so that I only keep the ones I will use and made a separate index binder that I stamped each stamp into so I can see what it looked like. Very occasionally a stamp falls out so I stick it back in with a glue stick.

    I have been making pockets for my stamps with my laminator but that’s still a work in progress and I’m trying to store them according to subject but it’s not very satisfactory as they are all different sizes. Your system works because you don’t have that many to store but I have a lot more than that being a card maker. I might give this a go and see if it works as space is really important. Thanks for sharing this.

    i would think that after a while the 'new' system would damage your stamps as well because of how they get smashed when you close the book. i store mine in plastic photo boxes. each box is labeled for what is in it and each stamp 'set' or sim stamps are on acetate sheets inside the box. i can usually get four or five sheets in each box, sometimes more w the less expensive thinner clear stamps. also, block stamps fit well inside these photo boxes as well. all the boxes are then stored in a large container on the shelf.
    each box is labeled clearly as to what is in it so everything is easy to find.

    • @TreasureBooks
      @TreasureBooks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like your system. I kept in mind the fact that if there are too many stamps in that folder they could get damaged, which is why I will not be adding any more stamps to this folder. I have another two waiting should the need arise. :) Thanks for watching :)

  • @Meanne77
    @Meanne77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think a binder would work better: their hard cover would protect the stamps better from outside pressure, you can add/remove the plastic pocket inside depending on how many stamps you have/buy, you can also move them around (your favorites on top) or replace easily the plastic pockets when they tear down from use. you can have tabs with the type of stamps sticking out so easier to read and access directly the section you did without having to turn the "pages" one by one, all while keeping the advantages of you new system. What's my thought but I'm currently storing them ultra-squeezed in a box and have yet to find the motivation to change that system, so... :D

      Thank you so much 😊 Welcome to my channel, I'm so glad to have you. I am an avid recycler and always have been. I hope that we can all be a little kinder to our Earth. I am teaching my children and it makes me so proud to see how they are becoming so much more mindful, and even reminding their friends to not waste, to re use and most importantly, to not throw rubbish around!!

    I would need 6 of those books. Lol. I go to the thrift store and cannot leave a stamp behind. How do you pick and choose which stamps to keep? And what do you do with the ones you don’t think you will use?

    My stamps came off wood blocks but won’t stick to a card for reference. Is there a glue I can use

    LOVE THIS IDEA!!! I am totally going to do this! Mine are all crammed into a plastic container under my craft table and I have to pull out the bin and dig through the darn box to find often times one little stamp! LOL Not anymore!!! I am totally doing this ASAP! Thank you!!

    Hello - I'm thinking of copying the binder method for clear stamp storage. Thanks for walking us through it! How many set of stamps can you fit in one binder? Is it really saving space? I probably have at least 30 different sets!

    • @TreasureBooks
      @TreasureBooks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I fit soooo many stamps in there, and its so much easier to use and see all the stamps. I love this system :)

    The album gets torn after some time while putting in stamps and taking out....I did put tapes around and also I always make my acetate edges round but album doesn’t last long

    Great idea! Especially, since CD cases I get in US are the square small ones and we’re never big enough for storage! Does any one out there have a source for the binders?

    • @barbarawright2380

      3-ring binder loose-leaf sleeves that hold standard 8.5 x 11" pages. I have these on hand for my knitting patterns and plan to use them to modify Natasa's stamp storage idea.

      Barbara Wright thanks! I was really hoping for something soft and flexible so it’s easy to carry around.also in the smaller size. STIICKI Club makes a great storage book for their stickers which come each month in their own clear pockets. I ordered one of the books separately and since it was a “factory second” it was really affordable. However, their pockets are expensive. So, now I’m thinking if only I can find the plastic protector pages elsewhere that fit their binder, I’ll be all set. It did look like Natasha’s cover and pages were all-in-one without being a ring binder and I’ve never seen anything like that locally. Nor have I been able to successfully search on-line for it using any of the descriptores I’v3 managed to come up with...☹️

      here in Aus we call these folders - Display books - the are on Amazon. There are 2 types one's with refills and the one being used in the video. Hope this helps also you can google our office supply store to get more of a description of the product. It is www.officeworks.com.au then search Display book

    • @TreasureBooks

      I made a mistake calling them CD cases, they are actually DVD cases and larger than the CD cases. :) The type of folder that I use can be found in any office supply store :)
