It was generally rational for capcom for scrapping the resident evil zero on the nintendo 64, and refine it completely for the game cube. cuz I honestly enjoy the experience with it.
The one game I would like them to have made as a side story is the beta of resident evil. Even if it was short I would of bought it but one things for certain I know it will be alot better then resident evil 5.

There are tons of differences between the beta and the released version, i can understand your confusion though, but it is different all together.
