Wow...thanks for the videos concerning The Doors and Jim Morrison's hang outs etc...if it weren't for you I'd never see these places. So that was where the London Fog was huh...wow...amazing man....thank you again, please do some more Jim Morrison/Doors places.
Great video for Doors fans. Kinda sad how boring and sedate "The London Fog" area looks today. I didn't see any Jim Morrison types walking around, that's for sure. Amazing how much things can change in 50 years.
What a shame everything looks like everywhere else in this digital/corporate age. No one cared to preserve the character of anyplace where great music was born. At least we still have The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ- but we had to fight to keep it there. "The Trip" is definitely worth seeing, especially for the old footage of The Strip.
Most informative video backing up the beginnings of the Mid 60s LA scene! Had the pleasure of meeting Peter Fonda some years back.RIP. Rog .Pacific sunset records.
think of all the other bands that didn't get that chance in the 60s/70s...i'm sure we missed tons of other Jim Morrison even tho there can only be one.
The Sunset Strip riots were based around the club, Pandoras Box, which was near Laurel Canyon and Sunset (Crescent Heights was the actual street)--it had very little to do with Clark St. Although you may want to ask one of the Byrds if he got his name from that street...haha.
The epicenter of the Sunset riot was at Crescent Heights and Sunset; about 2 miles east of the London Fog. That is where Pandora's Box was; and that's where it started.
I think it's ironic that it became a Cosmo salon cause the early glam bands played here including the doors seeds the first real hair band and others.cool
The Sunset Strip riots were because of a curfew and the closing down of the club Pandora's Box at the intersection of Sunset and Crescent Heights, NOT at Clark and Sunset.

Wonderful upload, thanks for sharing. Such great musical history.
L.A. sure looks good under that sun, doesn't it?
Would have made a hell of a doors museum!!
great video. the energy in that spot must have been unreal. Truly where legends were born. X
To the right of the London Fog was another club called The Galaxy where big bands like Iron Butterfly also played.
Great information. Legendary area of music scene.
Wish they would put up historical markers on the buildings to document where the clubs were. They do some of that in London.
I love your Doors stories and videos, Clyde. Keep doing them. Thanks.

Thanks for this, I probably wouldn't get a chance to see these places if not for clips like yours.
From Italy, thanks for sharing ❤️

I wish I could see Jim and Pam meet.
I've played the Whiskey and the Central. Never knew the London Fog was in between the Whiskey and the Rainbow.

Amazing how close those two clubs were, yet doesn't sound like much business drifted downstream from the Whiskey.
Epicenter of the 1966 Riots was Pandora's Box (it was demolished in Aug. 1967)
Could you show the location of Pamela's Themis boutique, located at 947 La Cienega Blvd?
Great Vlog thanks!

From everything I've read ,The Oedipus ending was not created until they were at the whiskey....
Cool video!
Hard to believe the London Fog was that small.
Jim Morrison forever legend

IF I WAS TO SAY TO YOU GIRL WE CANT GET MUCH BETTER ....
Boooooooooooo
They played at the kings head in Santa Monica before the London Fog according to Ray Manzerek.
The Sunset Strip riots were because of a curfew and the closing down of the club Pandora's Box at the intersection of Sunset and Crescent Heights, NOT at Clark and Sunset.
Week to week day to day hour to hour ...
That's where Rhonda Layne, the go-go girl, worked out.
Between Clark and Hilldale looks kind of bland these days. Nonetheless, another great video, Clyde. Gracie.
Love wrote "Between Clark and Hilldale"about the strip.specificly about the Whisky a gogo.
