    I’m very new to sewing and was getting worried about using zips. I’ve watched so many videos, but yours was by far the easiest to follow. I’ve just finished a lovely little make up bag with boxed corners 😊
    Thank you.

    Hi there! Thank you so much for the video! My friend and I took a sewing class (beginner here!)and the teacher had us use this tutorial for the flat bottom pouch but I am confused about how to proceed. I’m at step 4- when you sew around the pouch (minus the corners) but it says to fold the seam allowance towards the lining. When I do this, my pieces are not even… is it okay to hold the zipper towards the front pieces? And if my corners are not matching up on either side, should I trim so they match?stuck at this point because I don’t want to mess this up! Thanks!

    Hi im new to sewing and this will be my first ever project!
    Thank you!! Ive been looking for a simple flat bag and all the tutorials are boxed or flat bottomed lol.
    How would i make this bag into a smaller pouch for my preschooler to carry coins in or little things?
    As im new to sewing and never made anything im not sure how to adjust measurements to make the bag smaller 10:01 😊
    This is a fantastic tutorial by the way and ive subscribed and will probably re watch it to understand it lol.
    Do you have to use interfacing? What happens if you dont? Will it be ruined?

    Thank you for the video. Question about the zipper when pinning it prior to sewing around. You say to have the zipper teeth pointing toward the main fabric, yet you have the other side pinned with the teeth facing the lining? Is there a reason for this? The tutorials I have watched so far all say to have the zipper teeth both facing towards the lining... also if one is facing the lining and one facing the outer/main fabric then you have a twist in the seam allowance and can't iron it flat nicely? Help?

      They should be facing the same way on each side of the zipper - if it's pinned that way in the video its my mistake - but personally I prefer to pin with the teeth facing the main fabrics.

    Can you give me the measurements for the square you cut out. Is it 1”x1”?

    When I tried to make the Harry potter zip pouches. My zipper didn't look lined up. Any tips?

    For the boxed bottom is the bottom shorter than the top?

    • @polkadotchair
      @polkadotchair  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, slightly, it gives it the trapezoid shape
