You ever just have a dream where you're like, back at school, except the school is also a hospital and a jail all in one, and you have to battle for your lunch but then after you lose your pizza you sit down and eat your pizza even though you've just had it taken and then you get into a van with a very purple interior bursting with empty chip bags and pickle jars and the dream ends right there and then? That's how this feels, except better, and you don't wake up with diarrhea necessarily.

Those kinda dreams always feel sinister and like you're in danger, but you can never put your finger on why.
I once had a dream where I was a kid and back at school but it was also a crazy science lab and I had a virus that kept making me faint over and over while two people watched over me in various areas of the school, real and made up by the dream. It ended with me getting crushed by a boulder in the bathroom

The other night I had a dream that I was a member of the senate. Halfway into the dream the senate became a high school computer class and I logged into steam and played Skullgirls. Then a senator I didn't like wanted to play and when I let him he got in trouble because apparently he accidentally turned on a setting that made the game inappropriate to play in the senate or something and got kicked out.

There was a surprisingly limited selection of good rodent images to use when making the map LOL. I am so happy my silly rat map got used in the thumbnail

I'm so glad I could make Vinny laugh with rat world. I spent more time making it than I'd like to admit. Super surreal to see him play something I spent hours working on.

The devs, Sokpop, are interesting. They're a group of 4 solo developers who challenge themselves to make one game a month, meaning four in total. They've been doing it for a few years now. When they first came about there was a big article about them calling their 4-man approach "the boy band of video game developers". Don't let that weird headline dissuade you from the fact that they've put out a litany of great games. It's crazy how many games that get released through that model end up being good. They usually release them in unassuming titles under a "season" of games though some have been so loved that they get stand alone releases
this would be a really easy way to visually recreate some weird ass dreams i've had. also the british seaside map was so accurate it made me feel right at home

15:08 is me :) Got a couple of maps on the backlog I'm working on, but I'm trying to find a way to have a Red Vox mural somewhere on each of them. Hope you play this again at some point, it's a really great community we've got and some really creative maps
i’m glad we have these fascinating different game/level makers out here. People are making really cool art with them, and the music is especially selling me on this one.

Games with this aesthetic would be very cool. It would basically be like a 3D version of that "photo collage" look that was really popular in the early 2000s with games like Samorost.
I really really love this like it’s a simple and cool way to create art when you might not be v artistically talented yourself. It’s like an interact collage and I think that’s what makes it so appealing to me
In Vinny's world, swans are ducks and geese.
A bit of geek knowledge but the guitar at around 5:02 with Vinny's (stock) picture is an Ibanez Roadstar Radius model. They went on to use it as the basis of Joe Satriani's signature guitar, only really noticed as I own one.

This game is rad. Like you were saying, the limitations fill a space of creativity that is really rare now. People are spoiled for choice with tools like dreams. But I'm honestly way more interest in what people can make with this. I love these streams/vids, please do more!

i made housing crisis at 42:30 :] it took 8 hours of work since the level editor is a little bit limited, but i really recommend this game if like it. i would really love if more people played the game and sokpop would come back to it!!!

It took me upwards of an hour to make a sokworld with only a tiny handful of rooms because I got caught up trying to align things, I can't even imagine how long some of these worlds took.

I'm glad he went back to this. I've been turning the game on from time to time to discover the new cool worlds people make. And people are still making them, which is really neat.

I decided to try this game after seeing this and the previous vod of it, and I am having way too much fun with building stuff out of PNGs. I just wish you could un-erase parts of images.

This game has some issues with images being stuck loading (both for creators and viewers) but it's still one of the best creative tools I've seen

It would be nice if there was a place like Tiki Terry's near me. By that I mean a tiki or tropical bar. The only place around me like that is Joeseph's Crab Shack, and I can't drive to the big city by myself or drink and drive... the town I live in only has dedicated bourbon or "home made beer" places outside of bars in normal restaurants. Eh, such is life in a flyover state.

“Birds on Venus” might be a reference to Cowboy Bebop, since there’s a song called “Cats on Mars” (Minecraft references it too, but there’s mice on Venus instead of birds).
I think there might have been an actual Pokémon arcade game, btw. I believe there was an arcade version of Pokken!
