      Omg I was thinking this exact same thing. Cause I have a hard time delegating to my child and seeing that my child failed to do it correctly but had I demonstrated and had him demonstrate back then the outcome would have been different I’m sure. Thank you !

    Iv currently started training new employees at a WingStop and iv noticed that the smallest gesture of encouragement or saying motivating comments to a struggling trainee even if they are having a tough time catching on makes a major difference in their willingness to learn and keep going without quitting....Honey catches more flys than salt :)

    These videos are great. You are an excellent teacher and mentor. However, the production of these video is distracting...the multiple cameras, the 45 degree angle jump cut to black and white, etc. If I was watching this brilliant presentation live, I would not need to suddenly move over 45 degrees and put on glasses to change the color in order to maintain my attention. I know this is the trendy way to produce videos but I doubt that any of the viewers are 5 second attention span Millenials.

      Thanks for the comments, I am not a professional editor or videographer. I can hire a staff to film these but then I would have to charge for them. I get better with everyone and hope that you can look at the content and appreciate the hours of work I put into making them for you. The emails I get from viewers all over the world who are increasing revenue by thousands a year from free content is what motivates me to keep producing these videos.

    As a new manager, how do you deal with other managers that do opposite of what they should? It's hard to work with people who have a different mindset. For example I guarantee they're not watching videos like this..

      I believe, it’s best to focus on your excellence and being a great manager that offers proper training & help to his team. Employees will naturally want to work with you as they will feel supported and that they’re doing a good job. Bad managers should be weed out by owners, but if they miss it. The team itself will push them out.

    we own a small fast food restaurant..and we have 2 employees..one is the cook and the other is person who attends to the customer..we are paying them 750 each week..but nothing is coming in our pocket..after giving the employees their money and food cost..we are having hard time paying the employees..we also signed a 3 year lease for another branch we opened 5 minths ago.first restaurant is paying for the second one..how do we manage and also bring up the

    • @TheHerreraEra
      @TheHerreraEra 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aisha H first off you're paying them way to much, I'm a head line cook and I don't even make 500 dollars a week in a big restaurant. Figure out food prices, cut down on food waste, see what you need and don't need, talk to cook and see if he will work less and you get in the cooks line and do his or her job. You can do all that instead of paying so much for a cook. Just small examples

    What about adding a step that confirms the employee is continuing to follow their training? At one restaurant after you had worked for a week or two by yourself a trainer would watch you do certain key procedures and verify you were doing them correctly and help to correct any training that had been forgotten.

    • @Therestaurantboss
      @Therestaurantboss  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great step to add to the process for sure!

    when you take on a client to you abide by these rules yourself when first entering the kitchen or do you just go in and take over?

    • @Therestaurantboss
      @Therestaurantboss  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would never just take over a kitchen. I absolutely follow the training model when I am working with a cook (especially somebody elses). I spend a lot of time observing, just watching and taking notes. Then I will usually go to the owner and have them conduct the training with me present, but I do the work, the owner doesn't learn and the staff will go back to their old ways when I am gone. You give a man a fish, and they will eat a meal, or you can teach a man to fish and they will eat forever.

    *There is a sixth step* which is
    You do 1to5
    Meaning the worker you have trained need to be checked training someone else to do the same
    That will show you how deep s/he understood your training
