In my ASUS VIVOBOOK X542U, after pressing power button, only power led is on. But no fan spin, no hard disk spinning, no display(even backlight). What could be the problem? Please help...

How do you know where to check for the CPU power? Is is the voltage regulator? How do we know which VR to check?

please how do you identify the bios chip?
Lookfor motherboard schematic, search for SPI word and learn it's code. Get a magnify and search that code (U12 etc).
they usually have a white painting mark on the top of it, and also are a little bigger than the other chips
