OK it was pointed out to me that for some strange reason I kept saying Vienna instead of Venice… it’s Venice! Sorry about that!

No worries, @Recordology. Everybody makes mistakes now and then. That's why they put rubber on the ends of pencils and delete options on keyboards and online. Haha!
All the best, my friend. :)

6:39 "Venezia" (pronounced VEH-NEET-ZEE-AH) is Venice, Italy; not Vienna, Austria, and one can clearly see the Italian writing on that map and not German as would have been spoken in Vienna, Austria. Plus, Vienna doesn't have an elaborate system of canals as seen on that map, but Venice does, of course.
My family and I visited Venice many years ago and it was gorgeous! :)

I had a buddy in Toronto who used to make his own Henry Jones Sr. grail diaries by buying old leather-bound books at thrift stores, by keeping the blank pages and tearing out any text, and then photocopying Zeppelin tickets and all of the inserted illustrations and notes he found off the internet.
He would age all of the papers, tickets, maps, inserts, etc. to give them that lived in look and sense of rugged history and would typically sell each diary he made for $250 to $350 on eBay.

Yes! There are still people doing that! I guess I’m just very late to the party! I am definitely looking forward to adding my own inserts…

I bought this diary too, really liked it and it inspired me to build my own. The biggest problem with the cheaper diaries is that many of the pages are out of order, so you can't read it straight through properly.

Record-ology, that's a very cool Indiana Jones grail diary for sure and the price is very reasonable considering how many pages, inserts, maps, and other details are included. :)

Very nifty for the money. It'd take a bit of time, but a bit of distressing would make it look really sharp.

I recently bought a Hasbro light-up headpiece of the Staff of Ra on Amazon which is pretty fun as a display piece in any collector/media room. :)

That’s awesome! I looked at a replica being sold at a Disney gift shop last night… Solid metal construction very heavy heavy but cost $70!

I bought this same item. Absolute garbage! Best way is to buy a quality screen accurate real leather blank diary from Magnoli Clothiers and craft your own. I just couldn't settle for vinyl covered, poorly bound diary with terrible blurred printing that is literally ineligible and the inserts many of which have no correlation at all.

I’ve actually really enjoyed mine… Spent a lot of time stressing the cover and pages… Really have it looking authentic now. I do wish the print was a little clearer, but I think that it’s still legible enough. Plus reading the entries is a lot of fun. Some of the inserts are a little wacky, but interesting nonetheless. The sheet music to Temple of doom was probably the weirdest lol!

      not as bad as that.
good enough to customize / keep on a bookshelf.
      but to each his own.
