- The plaintiff hired and paid the defendant to provide a D.J. for a party. However, the defendant called a day before and said the D.J. got into a car accident. The defendant hasn't provided a refund, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists the plaintiff is the one who canceled hours before the party.

When the Judge called the defendant out on overbooking and taking the higher paying gigs, the look on his face was wonderful. He knew he was found out.

It's actually insane that the business and owner name can be protected from the TV show when the court case would make it public record. Pain and suffering isn't compensable on a contracts case, but smearing the name of the business on national TV would be good enough compensation for me if i was the plaintiff.

There is a very slim chance that this man's staff were doing sketchy stuff behind his back, and he genuinely believed the Plaintiff canceled her party. That would explain why he thought the "no refund" applied and why he reversed the charges. But then he's an incredibly bad businessman if he is just letting his staff do and say whatever, and he has no idea what they're doing. Is he one of those people who thinks running a business means hiring people to do the work for him while he sits in his office watching tv?

You know, the best way to see to it, that your former clients get their money back when you know you have breached, is to hand them a check before the judge orders you to. Never seen a better use of punitive damages. The man looks worse every time his lips part.
