I have 2 more Demo versions, but this one is the best. This is my number 1 song, The Hardest Part Is The Night is my number 2 and so on. I was 11-12 years old when I heard it fot the first time. Since then I must hear it at least minimum one time in a month :D
A rerelease of Slippery When Wet with Edge Of A Broken Heart and Borderline as bonus tracks would make the album soooooo much better than it already is. They already did it with New Jersey! Come on Jon, give us an extended version of Slippery.
How could this not have joined the other "chart hits" made during this era. I remember hearing this on Providence radio WHJY's 2 hour Metal Hour back in the day, and wondering who they were! Never forgot the opening riff, fun to play on guitar!
I always loved this song. If I remember correctly, it was the summer of ‘86 or ‘87 and it was from the Disorderlies movie soundtrack. I never understood why this wasn’t a bigger hit for them.
Bon Jovi hasn't made many mistakes, but this was one of the few. Had this song been included on Slippery When Wet, and had it been released right after Living On A Prayer, it would've been their third straight #1. In fact, it might've been the best song on the entire album. Everyone swings and misses once in a while, I guess.

I would've put this in place of "Let it Rock" (the only Slippery song that's kinda bland to me, sounds more like a B-side) and maybe switched it with "Raise Your Hands" since that would've made a good hard rock opener. To me this would fit perfectly after Wanted Dead or Alive.

Only this new generation that only knows about the song "Livin' On A Prayer and It's My Life" and they don't know about this song.
Wow, the introduction sounds like "Mystery" by Ronnie James Dio… The three chords and the keyboard riff. Ronnie's song came out in 1984, two years before the slippery when wet album came out. On Ronnie's 1985 album he kind of plagiarized a similar riff which sounds even more like The Who's song, Baba O'Riley.
