1984 was a splendid year for music. Daryl and John's Big Bam Boom was a monster hit when released in the fall of '84. Daryl wrote "Swept Away" for Diana Ross that year and Peter Wolf had a Top 20 hit on the radio with "Light's Out" that was featured in the 1985 film The Sure Thing. I LOVE AND MISS THE 1980's! A time when people knew how to be civil. No Internet, Cell Phones. Records, Walkmans, a 24/7 MTV Music Channel. It was a great time to be around!
I wish I could have lived in that time. I love all the music that come out at that time even the videos. Hall and Oates are one my my most favorite singers ever.
Jason Eyler correction there were cell phones(the masses couldn’t afford them), internet (see geeks like Bill Gates), Walkman (came out in the 70’s and blew up in the 80’s)
yes and the hit movies too, between 83 and 84, gremlins, footloose, flashdance, top gun, back to the future, and the karate kid all came out in the period, and the music was full of hits from the movies or maybe because of, I was only 4 at the time but I loved it, some of the best hit pop music of the era came out then and some of my most loved songs I like. Oh and I forgot ghostbusters that came out in 84 too didn't it.
I was white 5 years old at this time. And I'm going to tell you right now. Watching this makes me feel really old... 😂 Look at The Times that have changed since then. Oh my goodness.😮
