What an incredible message delivered by someone who has experienced several real world setbacks. Changing from “Why” to “Who” was brilliant! Inspired by your entrepreneurial journey Steve.
Steve Waddell’s evolution to “Valuepreneur” is truly commendable. His emphasis on shifting the focus from WHY to WHO contributes to a new perspective on entrepreneurship. Thank you, Steve for sharing your wisdom with this talk (and your book, too).👏
Steve is an amazing human being! He has so much passion for his work and ideas! He will find a way to tackle any hurdle. He loves sharing his success and is wonderful at making everyone around him excited about his what he's doing!
I worked with Steve at the NNS shipyard 25 years ago and back then he was my go-to guy for ideating improvements on Carriers. Today I run a pre-diligence innovation firm helping companies with IP strategy and growth and I'm still calling Steve to bounce ideas around! He really lives what he preaches and I always get value out of our chats!
Steve is great! A very helpful reminder that Entrepreneurship is all about people and solving problems. Reminds me of a Ziglar quote: "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want." Too many times entrepreneurs focus on themselves, or they try to force a solution down people's throats, which inevitably collapses.
This is one of the best TEDx talks I have heard in some time. This is awesome! Focusing on the who. Defining a problem and then solving it. Inspirational.
Terrific TED Talk on how we need to talk to our potential customers about how THEY experience a problem - to understand how we can provide Value and for WHOm. Great job, Steve!
Steve is a true entrepreneur! His ability to fight through challenges as they arise is what sets him apart and lets his leadership shine. He is a thought leader in the "valuepreneur" space and worth your time to watch! He also has a great book for those on a similar journey!

As a longtime admirer of Simon Sinek’s Start with Why, I find this shift of focus to WHO to be a refreshingly simple solution to an age-old entrepreneurial challenge. Congratulations, Steve, and all the best!
Loved your message. Every successful start up finally evolves their product or service to meet real customer demand. Some take a long time and blow a lot of money getting to that point. It is so easy to be in love your own vision of what the customer needs, not their vision.
What an absolutely brilliant presentation! I love the shift of focus from solving your own why to solving the why of your target audiences. This is such an important lesson for any entrepreneur, but is also so applicable to any professional.
