    Good move. I took the stock 32 in General Grabber tires off my Black Diamond and put them on my Jeep.
    Put 33 in BFG KO2s on the Bronco. Very happy with them. Nice video. Thanks.

    Personally I’m a KO2 fan…show me you’re an off roader without telling me you’re an off roader!! Another great vid & review!

    Have I mentioned that I literally watch all of your videos because I love Micah and his fam? They could review a windowless, white van and I'd still watch it ;-). Great, fun content!

    That trail was so much fun...glad we were able to be there to see how the Bronco perform on Kramer Arch!

    Dang, sorry to hear you had so many issues with your OEM tires.
    I'm still running mine, as I haven't had any issues (took it to Moab last week for the Bronco Safari), but that's entirely anecdotal. 🙂
    Hope your new tires have a long and useful life!
    Love the painted grill and aesthetic upgrades, as well as the exhaust. Looking, and sounding, great! 🖖

      I'm jealous. My only time in Moab was on a mountain bike. That Bronco Safari sounds like an awesome time!

    Somehow the KO2's continue to be an excellent choice even as more and more new options come to market.
    I'm going to be in the market for a 4x4 truck soonish, I'm not sure what i'll go with but I'll almost certainly put KO2's on it.

    BFGoodrich is releasing the K03 next month!

      In fact, the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor was revealed today. And it's rolling on 33-inch KO3s!

      Sadly I wanted the white letters and they didn’t have them in c load rating. I had to go with KO2

    Long time fan of all your vids. Love wheeling with my fam. Very familiar with calico and most so cal runs. Darn it! Wish I coulda ran into you out there. love my ko2s. Flirt with the idea of trying something new, but have never been let down with my ko2s in terms of traction in the snow or puncture resistance in the desert. Keep pushing the dope content!

    Stock tires are generally never as good as even their retail counterparts. That is the case with the Territory MT's. The "regular" retail version is actually a fantastic tire. Tire manufacturers seem to cheapen out a bit when making a production tire due to the sheer amount they have to make to make production numbers and the specific contracts they make with the manufacturers.

    • @mattg8116
      @mattg8116 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would agree with that regarding the offroad segment. The OEM's lighten the tires a bit, and are very concerned with mileage, wear, noise, and emergency handling. If you want tough tires with great traction retail can often be better. That said, in most other applications the OEM tire will be the best tire the car ever gets. Outside of offroad performance it seems like retail brands are the bottom of the barrel for quality and only the OEM's force them up to stringent requirements.

    30k miles in desert, rock climbing, airing up to 40 down to 20 in my stock Sasquatch and absolutely no issues yet.

  • @GetOutGO
    @GetOutGO ปีที่แล้ว

    After just 17k mi the tread on my KO2's are literally tearing out in chunks, Michelin (they own BFG) reckon it's because of "severe off-road use". I found (after the fact) that my KO2's were manufactured in Thailand, not the US and I suspect that's the actual problem (Michelin denies this of course)

  • @jerrymcgeorge4117
    @jerrymcgeorge4117 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good all around tire, great in snow & ice. Not so great on rocky trails, where they will shred and center tread puncture fairly easily. I’m on the second set on my F150, good for about 40k before they will get sketchy in winter. I work for a Jeep tour company. We ran them for a couple seasons and had far too many failures. Replaced with BFG KM3s & Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the Jeeps, Cooper ST Max on our 12 passenger tour trucks. The latter are indestructible.

      It's crazy we hadn't visited Calico before. Next time we're running low on sarsaparilla and cactus candy, I'll know where to go.

    Damn, I’ve been to Cerro Gordo just a few weeks ago, no issues with my Goodyears…
    2 Trips to Moab and a couple of winters in Vancouver 🇨🇦, I actually find the Goodyear’s much better than KO 2’s in winter conditions, I believe TFL showed this in one of their video’s last year…
    I’m just over 28,000 miles and I expect another year before I have to replace, might look at the KO3’s at this point, but not the KO2’s!

    Y’all may have discussed this in previous videos, but just curious about fuel consumption. I have a 2.3 on 35”s and it sucks fuel. Just curious on y’all’s experience.

    Reduction in mpg would make sense with the increased unsprung weight.

      @@MicahMuzio omg Micah just commented on my comment😭😱
      Another tire brand I’m fond of, but can’t afford is Mickey Thompson’s.

  • @bufordard
    @bufordard 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Are you running a 2.7l? I have what appears to be the same truck and I get 19mpg on average

    • @MicahMuzio
      @MicahMuzio  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We've got the 2.3L. To be fair, we live the mountains. So there are lots of inclines that could contribute to fuel consumption. But overall, I'm amazed at how poor our fuel economy is.

    I've always LOVED a new set of tyres on my 4WD's over the years.... and I am a bit surprised you didn't touch on the look of these compared to the stock. Do they make the Bronco look... any cooler/gnarlier?

    • @MicahMuzio

      It's true. I do think the KO2s do look cooler than the stock Goodyears.

    Stock tires are terrible I switched to the 35 inch Mickey Thompson Baja boss and the difference was unbelievable no more rocks kicking up

    • @0HOON0
      @0HOON0 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any other problems with the stock tires? Picking up rocks is mostly a function of the size of the tread voids.

    • @thepavementendsnow1901
      @thepavementendsnow1901 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree @@0HOON0, also after a few months the rock issues stopped, I don’t notice them throwing rock any more than average…
      I actually like the Goodyears, not near perfect, but damn fine tires! 🐴🐴🥌

    are the load range C KO2s still a 10-ply tire? I know the load range Es I have are 10-ply which would increase stiffness while also increasing puncture resistance.

    • @TheHooniverse

      The C is a 6-ply I believe

    Unpopular opinion - KO2 is an old tire with old technology and is wildly overrated and overpriced

  • @rtazz17
    @rtazz17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tire pressure is too high. Much better ride at 30 area. 39 you have got to be bouncing

    • @bufordard
      @bufordard 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought the same... I've been running 40psi on my sasquatch for 22k. Ride and wear has been wonderful. Sasquatch suspension is very soft. Used to run 28-30psi in my tacoma.
