    that is mega helpful especially as we need to do a full tear down after yesterday's action and crankcase crackage!. Could do with a download of of Sean's brain when its available😆

      @@Pitbikesonic76yes it is a weird one but we’re learning loads as we fix it. We want to be ready to do the last winter series round at Stretton in 2 weeks so it’s a bit of a rush.

    I have a 140 and I rebuilt it put race cam and rings and everything correct I believe and I can't get more than 80 psi compression

      If I have some problems with suspension, I'll do a video on it. My folks and shock have always been very reliable, so it's something iv never really mucked about with.

      @@Pitbikesonic76 some periodic service operations should be done even if everything seems ok e.g. suspension oil wears out, there should be a proper amount of it in forks (mm belowe the top cap) and so on... your mechanic seems to be very competent, I would be pleased to hear his opinions.     Having trouble with my sons 140 pit bike. The clutch will not engage. Fitted new clutch plates, and it will not engage at all. Any advice would be amazing, thanks 😊

      Have you put the lock washer on the back of the basket the right way round. Iv made that mistake before.

    Great video very helpful thank you. I’m changing my kick start gears and need to find the torque settings for the YX140 do you have a link for these please? The main torque settings I need are for the clutch nut and the clutch spring retaining bolts. I heard Sean say he torques the case bolts at 10 then 12 is that ft. Ibs or Nm?

      Clutch nut 40Nm
      Clutch bolts 10Nm
      Cases 10Nm

    I rebuild my engine just as shown in the video, bzt i gave a problem. The gears shift in the wrong direction, so n is all the way up and 4 is all the way down. Also, when i want to shift into n, its in some kind of gear but even when pulling the clutch lever, the back tire wont spin. I then have to kick the engine a bit and then its in neutral. Then i can start it normally, but when i shift into first i cannot get the bike going, i have to start in second gear to get it going

      Ok i found my issue regarding neutral, the m6 bolt Holding the shiftdrum in place was loose. Now it is still shifting in the wrong direction. I have to add to that, that my first gear was broken, so i ordered a new gearset with the shiftdrum. Are there drums which work in the wrong direction?

    Awesome video. Is there a way i can determine whether i have a gen 3 or gen 4? I’m having issues with that bung on top of the sprocket leaking and it did not have that bolt holding it on

    Noticed there’s no oil slinger on the end of the crank on yours, is there any benefit to that?

      Its because this engine was a gen4, and they don't have them. And I changed the casing for Gen 3.
      I'm getting a modified clutch adjuster bracket made, so I should be going back to Gen 4 soon 😁

    do you get the whole year out of 1 engine? when i rode 140s was going true an engine every 3 months

      It depends bud most time yes I get a whole season out of an engine before it gets taken apart again and checked over.
      But yes, I know a lot of people who will go through a few engines a season 🫣

      I got 1100ish miles from my 140, head gasket blew, had the wrong valve specs for abit(think they were too tight from stock) just fit a topend. Compression was showing 150ish.

    my yx140 is puffing white smoke abd leaking oil from the exhaust port, am i right in thinking thats valve stem seals? ne piston/rings cylinder is good still smokes and leaks. tia

      Intake 0.10 and exhaust 0.15
