Got a stomp 140 not the new z3 ones and had no compression can crank it with you hand. Doing top end build a valve was bent so ordered barrel and head in the next few days. These videos save the day haha
Just a quick help for next time for any pit bike top end rebuild, remove the bolt next to the oil drain that has a spring and a rod, it’s easier to put the timing gear on instead of prying it with a screw drive, I learned it the hard way by running my yx125 out of timing lol destroyed my piston and valves
@@babyhullk check compression and timing, open the throttle fully while have the kill switch is pressed then crank it, you should be at the 140+mark maybe even 175 if your motor is healthy
And maybe he should be on top of oil changes might have helped the life of the top end, also if u have a foam filter remember to keep it oiled properly
Hey im kinda late but i notice you mention it needing a rebuild "so soon" And i think the only explanation for this is probably that the air filter was letting sand get in? I'm not sure if it had one of those cloth airfilters on it with the wire mesh but grains of sand can pass streight through them I found out the hard way
Hi. today is my first time to adjustment the valve on my SYXMoto 125. I use your video to do the adjustment .003 on intake and .005 exhaust but it's nocking sound it's spouse the be with that sound or not necessary. I liked more quiet like before.
It may knock a bit, but it’s best to adjust the valve lash and rotate the engine manually a few times and re turn the flywheel back to TDC and check valve lash with filler gauge, if it’s good then it’s fine even if it knocks a bit
@@slavsquad Yes I did the whole process again and it sounded the same. Then I tried again but set the exhaust to .004 this time and the sound went down quite a bit. But I felt that I lost of power. With the intake at .003 and the exhaust at .005 there you feel power. So thank you very much for your reply and help. Then I go back and leave it at .003 and .005 =) 👍💪
@@cobalt930 Yeah that would be a matter of ignoring the sound. Because the power that is felt with that readjustment vs when they are adjusted from the factory you feel it. 💪😁 Thank you for your response and help.👍🏍
Usually just go one at a time when pushing them down the cylinder. Push piston up from the button of rather then from the top. If you still can’t do it then you’d have to buy a kit for installing pistons. Should be able to get it with some patience and wiggling
I closed mine up nice, and I can’t even get the timing chain onto the sprocket because it is so tight it won’t go on. I don’t want to tear the whole engine down, and I don’t think I even know what I’m supposed to do anyways so idk if it would solve the problem. I looked for days at various forums and searched for videos to try to find out. 🎉 bikes torn down outside. with a plastic bag over it right now
@@slavsquad 😅 I looked into that, got lucky instead, went back to the bike the next day. Messed around with it being super tight, it made it. Guess I had to stand back from it. But wow I am going to have to learn about the tensioners. Got a project bike now which is cool though I am learning a lot
Ya buddy you have to check the rings every time even new or risk blowing the engine up if you don't. P.s if you ever run nitrous you have to gap the rings even more😉👍✌️👌💯🏍️🛠️
Did you change the oil that came with the engine right away? If not then that’s probably why lol they factory oil is terrible and not recommend to use at all lol
Pitbikes are probably the easiest engines to work on so yeah you'd be right They had a very small police chase before, didnt last very long, was in one of the street videos

Shouldn’t be knocking. Redo the process and make sure it’s at top dead center when your doing it
