So this Yoshi guy plays Philip but in real life he had a moment where Art imitated Life (but in reverse) where Justin Bieber was Philip & Yoshi was the Ethiopian eunuch? From Acts 8: He (The Ethiopian Eunuch) had come to Jerusalem to worship and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.
It seems as though most of the main cast members were struggling with something prior to being cast in The Chosen. I believe God handpicked each one of them for a purpose. It doesn’t matter where they’re at in their faith journey, God handpicked them for a reason.
I love your perspective. I get disappointed when I hear the cast talk and they aren’t sold out for Jesus! But you are right. God hand picked them. Even if they don’t come to a saving faith themselves (I pray they do) God is using them to bring others closer to Jesus. Gods ways are perfect!!

There were many times in history (especially biblical history) where rulers or people of prominence were moved by the spirit to favor Israel or obey the Lord in an instance regardless of them having known God personally at the time.

However, I do believe that that it is also Biblical to say that the Holy Spirit moves and interacts with many...even those that are not yet saved. However, the Holy Spirit does indeed find a home with the Christian who becomes a receptive temple once they have accepted Christ. I believe that Scripture testifies to the Spirit working in both ways.
This man is a new Christian just learning. He is still in Egypt but he’s getting closer to the Promise land. And honestly his role in the Chosen is helping him. Every single person comes from a different situation and often needs different stimulus to help them know the Lord. So give him a chance--people--pray for him! Many actors are not your run-of-the-mill people. So whoever God is calling and that is everybody let’s pray for all of us to get to him whatever way he finds that will help us.

You can see God at work in each individual, as well as my own life as a long time Christian. God has something for all of us in this! Yoshi, I love your character. Thank you for bringing it!
Yes! When he mentioned Bieber offered to introduce him to "his church", rather than The Savior, and knowing about his pastor has no quams about having a beer, among other things, a red flag went up! He mentions in the beginning of this interview, being exposed to "faith" not Jesus, he is careful not to confess Jesus by saying his name. Watch on TH-cam about The Chosen Exposed & about the Mormon owned & based company! It is 5 hours long, but in the first 15 - 30 minutes you will be informed about the facts and later will see & hear interviews with Dallas and Romme that point out this is an Ecumenical movement, as well as other revelations of the personal lives and beliefs, that don't match up! After 38 Years saved, and in the ministry, it is hard not to discern what is going on. Really pray for these actors and Dallas Jenkins who says the Mormons believe in the SAME JESUS!

I feel so good seeing more and more becoming believers... I used to be very atheist a couple years ago but started to actually be open minded about God and Christianity, last few months I've been listening to NLT Dramatized audio, which is a little dated but is better for listening to. For reading I really like the NASB95/20 versions, it puts it into clear and fairly accurate words that are easier to understand IMO. Praise God for waking more and more up!

I absolutely love “The Chosen” so much. It’s storyline & tying characters together is more than plausible. I find it so relaxing that I watch a part or a whole episode of Season 1 & 2 every night at bedtime. Like the Bible, I feel that these stories are alive w/something new that I discover every time I watch it! I’m so thankful for Dallas, Ryan, & all the ppl involved in this project that is reaching so many folks that haven’t ever heard the gospel from this & are now reading the Bible to dig deeper into who Jesus is as God in human flesh…the Savior of our immortal soul’s! He’s the only way to get out of here alive…forever! Never any pain, sorrow, loss, or worry for all eternity!! Shout out to Yoshi & all the actors in this series for bringing the disciples lives w/Jesus into the mainstream so everyone has the opportunity to hear these stories that Jesus brought through his ministry & life while here as a man to never be forgotten over 2,000 yrs later! SWEET, DIVINE encounter with Justin. And one of my fav verses is the one you quote in season 2, that even in the depths, God is with us. There is nowhere we can go that God isn't already there. We can't outrun the God of the universe. His omnipresence combined with my finite brain makes it extreemely difficult to grasp, but it all comes down to that I'm far from being God. I'm so grateful His love has no boundaries, that is literally limitless LOVE. Thank you for your honesty... The psychological lectures breaking down the old testament he is referring to is Jordan Peterson's lectures on Genesis. He also primed me for coming back to religion. He was so crucial in being a gateway drug to religion for so many rational materialists. I remember listening to him talk about Jesus as a distillation of all moral good, like a hero of heros. And how powerful that is for the human psyche, and how it makes his story "true" in many ways. I remember having to pull my car over and listen intently to it. This was somewhere around 2017. At the time I hadn't been to Church in years in years, never prayed. Fast forward 5 years and I am praying the rosary and attending church regularly. I am sure this has been the case for so may people thanks to JP
I'd challenge you to go beyound the rosery, God wants you to have an open dialogue with Him daily, throughout the day just as you would a friend. To walk with you. Try it

I was watching Criminal Minds and I’m the episode a group of young adults were eating in the home and when Yoshi came on screen, I was like “Hey, that’s Phillip!”
His character it's so interesting, wise and funny. We do have to pray for the cast and crew. They r being impacted by the ones involve that do believe, by the love around them and also about all the things they are now seeking on the bible to prepare for the show, that's a start.

God is definately seeking him and revealing him to Christ. Now He is waiting for Yoshi to seek Him back. Faith is beyond this world. Yoshi is very close. We all need to surrender and know ONLY God is good. Thank God He is or this world would be completely null and void. Seems like Yoshi needs better teachers. Calvary Chapel Ontario on TH-cam is a great relatable guide to study the Word.
also, as a new Christian who has not found a church yet I can understand the individual exploration of the bible but Jesus calls us to unite. that is the very challenge of our world since we have been more isolated now with current media and technology. we are being segregated and encouraged to be self focused more than ever. that is because the only thing that keeps us together is Jesus and none of us make Him the center of our life. I pray Yoshi keeps in the Word but most of all with other humbled Christians and continues his search for God. it goes both ways, God reveals and seeks but He also asks us to seek Him too. Seek the truth and the things that we can't understand will help you trust in Jesus more. We are not called to know all things but just enough that God reveals to us through the only truth which is Christ the Lord and His endless mercy and grace to those who believe and repent and humble themselves. We are all poor in spirit. Thank God that He is endlessly there to save us from that.

His character it's so interesting, wise and funny. We do have to pray for the cast and crew. They r being impacted by the ones involve that do believe, by the love around them and also about all the things they are now seeking on the bible to prepare for the show, that's a start.

Beautifully expressed the Old Testament and Old Testament coming together I can see God has chosen every actor and actress for the chosen.
God is definately seeking him and revealing him to Christ. Now He is waiting for Yoshi to seek Him back. Faith is beyond this world. Yoshi is very close. We all need to surrender and know ONLY God is good. Thank God He is or this world would be completely null and void. Seems like Yoshi needs better teachers. Calvary Chapel Ontario on TH-cam is a great relatable guide to study the Word.
also, as a new Christian who has not found a church yet I can understand the individual exploration of the bible but Jesus calls us to unite. that is the very challenge of our world since we have been more isolated now with current media and technology. we are being segregated and encouraged to be self focused more than ever. that is because the only thing that keeps us together is Jesus and none of us make Him the center of our life. I pray Yoshi keeps in the Word but most of all with other humbled Christians and continues his search for God. it goes both ways, God reveals and seeks but He also asks us to seek Him too. Seek the truth and the things that we can't understand will help you trust in Jesus more. We are not called to know all things but just enough that God reveals to us through the only truth which is Christ the Lord and His endless mercy and grace to those who believe and repent and humble themselves. We are all poor in spirit. Thank God that He is endlessly there to save us from that.
