1 1/2 C. water
crusts of 4 slices of bread
2 1/4 t. agar agar powder (Telephone brand)
1/2 C. sugar
1 1/2 C. milk
1-2 T. cream

1/3 can of canned brown bread or any dark bread like pumpernickel or rye

Im watching, and wondering why in the heck would you want to eat bread jello? YYyyyuuuuccK!! im not being rude, this is what my brain is telling me. I just don't understand? Kat Sparkles : Dandelions are something you can forage (and I have), but I don’t see how this one qualifies as a “scarcity” food. To make it, you have to have two kinds of bread, milk, cream, sugar, agar-agar, boiling water, a range, and a refrigerator.I can think of several appealing dishes one could make with those ingredients, but jellied bread would never be one of them.

Duct tape was originally called Duck tape because it used "duck" a type of cotton fabric as a base and was very good at waterproofing. Funnily enough, It is terrible at managing high heats, and is actually a really bad tape to use on ducts. :D

Oddly, duct tape is not used on ducts. It can't withstand heat. In construction we use furnace tape. Duct tape is usually for quickly taping something like sheet metal panels together so wind won't get under them during transport.

Hey Emmy, I realize this video is about a month old, and you may never see this... but I am a long, long time subscriber. I've been hooked since I first saw your hard times recipes, and adored your personality. I never comment really but I need to this time. I needed to say thank you for partnering with Simple Health, making it known to me and us, and for giving us the discount code. I was able to get 3 months of birth control for free delivered to my door. I'm sure I sound like a shill but I promise you that I'm not. I am a 33 year old mother of 3. This whole outbreak has seen me working up to 60 to 70 hours a week with a 6 month old. My breastmilk dried up. And then I was laid off. And now my unemployment stopped while my state figures out how to not get defrauded by people using others credentials. Anyway, what I'm saying is that I was in desperate need of birth control. I work in healthcare but not anywhere where I could have someone write me a script even for a few months. I cant get into my doctor's and im.not even sure where my health insurance stands. And now that my husband and I are home more now with time to kill... I couldn't NOT have a contraceptive. And with a little one, a big one and a middle sized one, closed schools and daycares, I cant chance dragging them to doctors and pharmacies unnecessarily. I’m Mexican and we have this sweet called “cajeta” and sometimes it’s made out of fruit! Or pumpkin! Same texture! It’s a smooth firm loaf of fruit! Really delicious I enjoy the cactus pear so much! Love this recipe !!!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't cajeta a thick caramel made from goats milk? Can it also be made from fruit?
Mike Da Cool Nerd Hey! Different regions have different styles of cajeta. Some is the one made of goats milk (resembles that dulce de leche consistency) and other cajeta from apples & cactus pears etc are also called cajeta. Depends on city, region, municipalities etc... the cajeta de fruta will also be called “ate” in other regions like “ate de guayaba” but in my small town it’s considered cajeta. All delicious ❤️
We call that membrillo where i live and cajeta is milk
