Remix details:
I really like the album version of this song, but I'm not a huge fan of the refrain, as it just feels like it was designed to have a voice accompany Bear.
The Shack version with Lauren Daigle is also excellent, as she sounds much better in the refrain then Andra Day; sadly, this version lacks a lot when it comes to the choruses, as they removed the piercing chords to make room for Lauren's voice.
So, to have the best of both worlds, I have used the album version as the template, and have substituted the 3rd verse and refrain with the ones from the Lauren Daigle version.
They are not huge changes, but they perfect an already good song in my opinion.

I didn't want to listen to this version because I loved the original so much. The girl in it did such a great job, and I didn't want to take that away from her. I'm glad I did though. This version was great too. It is better or worse. It just has something different to it and now there's more to appreciate and enjoy with both versions now in existence ❤

I've heard both. This is definitely Lauren. I like that Lauren's voice is still so strong WITHOUT all of the excess fluctuations.

It’s a good song but not a Christian song it doesn’t talk about God or Glorify him at all. So I guess I won’t listen to it
I have to disagree, this song has been a rally cry for myself and my family as Satan has tried to rip my family to shreds, as I've cried out to God wondering why we were being so forcefully attacked. I realized that just because we are Christians and make God the center of our lives doesn't mean we won't face God's "Hard Love" where we are forced to walk through the fire and trust wholly in him because there is no one else to hold on to. The stanza "hold on just a little bit longer" speaks strongly to us to keep trusting him even when we can feel our fingers slipping and hold on. Much as the scriptures say "and having done all to stand". Don't dis something simply because it doesn't minister to you at the time you can't know God's mind or who or what he'll use, maybe just to give someone hanging on for dear life that little bit of encouragement to keep the faith when tragedy and pain are all they see. God Bless you through all your times regardless of how they find you.
You don't need to mention Jesus in every song. This is a brilliant song and they praise God by using the talents he blessed them with.
