I’m deeply sorry for your loss. I can only begin to imagine the pain of losing your child. Your family is in my prayers. This song came into my life when my dad was dying. It was meant to be part of a playlist I was making to lift his spirits and give him strength since we couldn’t be with him (Covid isolation protocols). He passed before I could get the playlist to him, and it ended up being one of the songs playing over the slideshow I made for his funeral. It’s been very healing for me, too. Lauren was his favorite artist. My dad’s passing is what brought me back to Christ. God is with us through all of our pain and grief. ❤
my husband is incarcerated....When He called last I played this song for him, afterwards I told him this song is me asking him to hold in to me. See even though he is incarcerated, it doesnt make who he IS, I met my husband five years ago, I was in a very dark place and was ready to let go. I wasnt looking for anyone, in fact i tried to push him away. He taught me my worth as a woman, to look people in the eyes when talking, and to hold my head up when I walk into a room. I have always believed in God and that how He sees His creation is Good and i believed that for everyone but myself. God Used my husband to reach my heart in places that I thought would never be alive again. God in turn used me to bring my husband to surrender His life to Jesus. Every tear that has fallen, every silent prayer, every moment of past abuse, guilt, shame and regret is all gone. My husband is a good and decent man, Like anyone made mistakes and choices that led him to where He is, most would judge him But whom umong us is without sin- I love you Marc forever and always and I thank God for you every minute of the day. Everyone has a story to those who are willing to forgo listening. My wife and I just said goodbye to our son this afternoon as we seen him off on a bus, back to the life he has ultimately, taken refuge in. That of addiction, back to the streets of desire. His addiction started when he was around 14. We of course as many, were unaware of the path he was taking. Fast forward to now, he is 30. For the past 16 years our lives have taken a different path as parents. For the past 10 years he has been home but twice. Many times it would be years before we heard about or from him. When he came home last year, it was because of being incarcerated for some time and decided he needed a break. He was home for 7 weeks total. He was brought up with the up most respect of others, polite, thoughtful and respectful. This trip, he was home for 4 weeks before the call of his life came to haunt him once more. Again, we had retrieved him from the incarceration of jail, again he was delighted to be home and have time with family. Mother is so besides herself, trying to cherish each moment he is here. He is my stepson. My wife divorced his dad after five years because he could not extinguish the drug habit. Yesterday, He went by to see his real father, himself, still a drug user and getting close to irreversible health issues at 58 with a heart attack, on medicine, using drugs still, failing liver, kidneys and such. My stepson knows all too well the possibility of this happening to him, yet, off he goes. He has never really taken advice and run with it, always deciding for himself what he feels is best. We pray each day that the good Lord watches over him. That is the best we can do. We have sent him to retreats, private christian schools when he was younger, nothing seemed to give that needed direction. I offered this time to send him to a facility full in house for a year, he said no. He has the looks along with a personality of a 12 on a score of 1 to 10. He was a superstar when he played little league baseball, hockey, football, had so much talent, we often wondered where he could have gone with it. To this day, he does call me dad. More ever than his biological father, This is nice but as I told him once, what ever you feel comfortable with. His only way to deal with this his if does it all on his own. All we can do is try and support him when he comes home. He dose not use when he is here, he gets his medicine from the state for those addicted to offset those cravings, as well as health, dental, mental, food card. Of course what he always says is......thank you both for paying your taxes. Sometimes in our lives, a glimmer of hope arises. It can come in so many different forms, we are not actually looking for it because we already know it exists. This is such a time. Thank you for your post. Thank you Lauren for this beautiful song. Regardless when it was released, it only takes a reflection of a kindred soul to graciously come to light at any given time.
I pray your son makes peace with his demons and finds his way home. Your story is also mine. One son found his way out of the darkness and one did not. 8 years ago today I held onto my oldest son for the last time. I know he was a believer and loved God. Told me he found peace when he went to church with me. The last time I saw him before his O. D. on Rx fentanyl from a pain clinic, I told him to keep praying and he told me he prayed every day. My surviving son overcame his addiction and is in recovery. June 2024 opened his own recovery center in remembrance of his brother. He has helped so many. I pray your child finds his own recovery. I think his way of saying please don't give up on me is by telling you thank you for paying your taxes. No one ever wanted to grow up to become addicted. Bad things and trauma happens that makes you believe bad things about yourself and leads to self destruction. What ever happened to you, does not define you. Take back your life and God will take care of the evil ones. You are loved and are the precious child of God.
I lost 4 family members this year to very painful deaths. Before I could heal from one, another happened one after another. It took me into a very deep and dark place. I empathize with you. I'm battling a similar issue. When literally everything is stripped from you; family, home, business, and health, all that remains is God. I don't blame God for my losses. My husband kept on listening to this song last year this time. A few weeks or days later our 1.5 year old son was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive brain tumor quarter the size of his brain… it shook us to the core especially when the doctors called us after a failed op with a mass bleeding that they couldn’t do anything anymore… 5mins to live… I arose within and wrestled with the living Christ to display His power right now. We kept on speaking the Word over this little body. He made it through the night, the doctors couldn’t believe their eyes. God Almighty parted the Red Sea in front of our eyes! God spoke to us that His glory is going to be revealed… here we are after one year of much refinement… 10 months of intense chemo and now have started intense radiation to “medically stabilize the remaining tumors”… even tough we are going through all the natural procedures our hope and faith is not in medicine… but in the Living God who will still part the Jordan to enter into the Promised Land of Divine Health and Healing!!! We pray salvation to everyone that has been involved in the process and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the glory of the beautiful Son of God Jesus Christ!!!

Then say whatever's bound on earth is bound in heaven and whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven.then ask God to intervene because you came against the spirit of depression. My sister passed away on November 2,2021 and she had sent me this song in a message. I didn’t see it until the morning after she passed and it was like she was telling me to hold on to her. She had brain cancer and I was with her every day for 16 months. I took care of her in all aspects and was right there with her when she took her last breath. I held on to her as she fought her last battle and Jesus took her home. Thank you for this beautiful song
Some people are commenting that there is no mention of Jesus. The song is a prayer... when I fall short, hold on to me... when I am weak, hold on to me... when I am in the darkness, hold on to me... when I hit the end, hold on to me. It's the kind of prayer that somebody in the world would pray, when they finally want to call out on God. This song points the way. When I listen with my spirit, the Presence and Anointing is evident. I can celebrate her song because God is using it. My daughter has attempted suicide twice, my father recently passed, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and we had to call an ambulance last night because she was having trouble breathing, she's still in the hospital. I was home schooled. It was such a tough time for me. I felt so isolated and alone. Know jesus is with you. From my own experience anixity really affected me and getting back into a schooling system was so hard... Know he is with you always. He loves you beyond messure.
My 11 year old was bullied horrendously in school and was attacked by several children as a teacher watched and did nothing. I gave up work and home schooled him for nearly a year and God finally answered my prayers and he’s now no longer suicidal and loves his new school that takes care of him and all his medical needs. This reminds me of when my ex fiancé and I broke up, how God met me even though the whole situation was my own fault. He warned me not to pursue that woman but I ignored His warning. 2 years and a $10,000 ring later I was single again. I was yelling at God how “I had nothing,” when His presence manifested tangibly in the room, He poured love and mercy on me, He never even said, “I told you so,” even though we both new He had. Instead He said, “sit at my right hand.” Then he showed me the world getting small like a soccer ball under my feet. I knew that He was saying that as He redeemed this situation, the world would seem to “get smaller” to me. A little over two years later I was moving to a new country, 2400 miles away to marry Jilliana. Not only did the world get smaller 🌍 but apart from Jesus Himself, she’s the biggest win of my life ⚽️. I see now God has mercy on me to deliver me from that toxic and unequally yoked relationship. He held on to me so tightly during my confusion and made all things new despite myself.

(KJV), and thus Adam and Eve kept it holy. Infact, sin is defined as transgressing or breaking any of the 10 commandments as per 1 Jo 3:4 "..sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV). So, when Satan sinned, he actually broke the 10 commandments for indeed angels also have to keep them in heaven Psa 103:20 "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments..."(KJV). Infact, the saints, described as those that "..keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Rev 14:12, KJV) will keep the 10 Commandments in the new heavens and the new earth including keeping the Sabbath holy by e.g gathering to worship the LORD as per: Isa 66:22-23 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make...it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (KJV). Hebrews 4:9 "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." (KJV) The word 'rest' is translated from the ancient or traditional Greek Manuscript word 'σαββατισμός' (Sabbatismos) - A Sabbath, Rest. The 7th day Sabbath still stands active today for GOD'S people. I am not going to force you to keep Shabbat holy (i would encourage to do a study on this matter) but if you end up coming short in the end, remember that the LORD did reach out to you using me. This song came into my life when my dad was dying. It was meant to be part of a playlist I was making to lift his spirits and give him strength since we couldn’t be with him (Covid isolation protocols). He passed before I could get the playlist to him, and it ended up being one of the songs playing over the slideshow I made for his funeral. It’s been very healing for me, too. Lauren was his favorite artist. My dad’s passing is what brought me back to Christ.

my husband is incarcerated....When He called last I played this song for him, afterwards I told him this song is me asking him to hold in to me. See even though he is incarcerated, it doesnt make who he IS, I met my husband five years ago, I was in a very dark place and was ready to let go. I wasnt looking for anyone, in fact i tried to push him away. He taught me my worth as a woman, to look people in the eyes when talking, and to hold my head up when I walk into a room. I have always believed in God and that how He sees His creation is Good and i believed that for everyone but myself. God Used my husband to reach my heart in places that I thought would never be alive again. God in turn used me to bring my husband to surrender His life to Jesus. Every tear that has fallen, every silent prayer, every moment of past abuse, guilt, shame and regret is all gone. My husband is a good and decent man, Like anyone made mistakes and choices that led him to where He is, most would judge him But whom umong us is without sin- I love you Marc forever and always and I thank God for you every minute of the day. Everyone has a story to those who are willing to forgo listening. My wife and I just said goodbye to our son this afternoon as we seen him off on a bus, back to the life he has ultimately, taken refuge in. That of addiction, back to the streets of desire. His addiction started when he was around 14. We of course as many, were unaware of the path he was taking. Fast forward to now, he is 30. For the past 16 years our lives have taken a different path as parents. For the past 10 years he has been home but twice. Many times it would be years before we heard about or from him. When he came home last year, it was because of being incarcerated for some time and decided he needed a break. He was home for 7 weeks total. He was brought up with the up most respect of others, polite, thoughtful and respectful. This trip, he was home for 4 weeks before the call of his life came to haunt him once more. Again, we had retrieved him from the incarceration of jail, again he was delighted to be home and have time with family. Mother is so besides herself, trying to cherish each moment he is here. He is my stepson. My wife divorced his dad after five years because he could not extinguish the drug habit. Yesterday, He went by to see his real father, himself, still a drug user and getting close to irreversible health issues at 58 with a heart attack, on medicine, using drugs still, failing liver, kidneys and such. My stepson knows all too well the possibility of this happening to him, yet, off he goes. He has never really taken advice and run with it, always deciding for himself what he feels is best. We pray each day that the good Lord watches over him. That is the best we can do. We have sent him to retreats, private christian schools when he was younger, nothing seemed to give that needed direction. I offered this time to send him to a facility full in house for a year, he said no. He has the looks along with a personality of a 12 on a score of 1 to 10. He was a superstar when he played little league baseball, hockey, football, had so much talent, we often wondered where he could have gone with it.
To this day, he does call me dad. More ever than his biological father, This is nice but as I told him once, what ever you feel comfortable with. His only way to deal with this his if does it all on his own. All we can do is try and support him when he comes home. He dose not use when he is here, he gets his medicine from the state for those addicted to offset those cravings, as well as health, dental, mental, food card. Of course what he always says is......thank you both for paying your taxes.
Sometimes in our lives, a glimmer of hope arises. It can come in so many different forms, we are not actually looking for it because we already know it exists. This is such a time. Thank you for your post. Thank you Lauren for this beautiful song. Regardless when it was released, it only takes a reflection of a kindred soul to graciously come to light at any given time.
I pray your son makes peace with his demons and finds his way home. Your story is also mine. One son found his way out of the darkness and one did not. 8 years ago today I held onto my oldest son for the last time. I know he was a believer and loved God. Told me he found peace when he went to church with me. The last time I saw him before his O. D. on Rx fentanyl from a pain clinic, I told him to keep praying and he told me he prayed every day. My surviving son overcame his addiction and is in recovery. June 2024 opened his own recovery center in remembrance of his brother. He has helped so many. I pray your child finds his own recovery. I think his way of saying please don't give up on me is by telling you thank you for paying your taxes. No one ever wanted to grow up to become addicted. Bad things and trauma happens that makes you believe bad things about yourself and leads to self destruction. What ever happened to you, does not define you. Take back your life and God will take care of the evil ones. You are loved and are the precious child of God.

I empathize with you. I'm battling a similar issue. When literally everything is stripped from you; family, home, business, and health, all that remains is God.
I don't blame God for my losses. I thank God that I'm still alive, that I have a roof over my head, and that I have a meal every day.

They have a huge amount of helpful information and resources to help you overcome this for good and better yet, they're not selling anything - it's all just super helpful information for those who need it.
My husband kept on listening to this song last year this time. A few weeks or days later our 1.5 year old son was diagnosed with a rare and very aggressive brain tumor quarter the size of his brain… it shook us to the core especially when the doctors called us after a failed op with a mass bleeding that they couldn’t do anything anymore… 5mins to live… I arose within and wrestled with the living Christ to display His power right now. We kept on speaking the Word over this little body. He made it through the night, the doctors couldn’t believe their eyes. God Almighty parted the Red Sea in front of our eyes! God spoke to us that His glory is going to be revealed… here we are after one year of much refinement… 10 months of intense chemo and now have started intense radiation to “medically stabilize the remaining tumors”… even tough we are going through all the natural procedures our hope and faith is not in medicine… but in the Living God who will still part the Jordan to enter into the Promised Land of Divine Health and Healing!!! We pray salvation to everyone that has been involved in the process and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to the glory of the beautiful Son of God Jesus Christ!!!

Then say whatever's bound on earth is bound in heaven and whatever is loosed on earth is loosed in heaven.then ask God to intervene because you came against the spirit of depression. And repent of aligning with the spirit of depression.(Do this first)
The spirit of peace should come after this.

My sister passed away on November 2,2021 and she had sent me this song in a message. I didn’t see it until the morning after she passed and it was like she was telling me to hold on to her. She had brain cancer and I was with her every day for 16 months. I took care of her in all aspects and was right there with her when she took her last breath. I held on to her as she fought her last battle and Jesus took her home. Thank you for this beautiful song

My daughter has attempted suicide twice, my father recently passed, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and we had to call an ambulance last night because she was having trouble breathing, she's still in the hospital. My 11 year old was bullied horrendously in school and was attacked by several children as a teacher watched and did nothing.
I gave up work and home schooled him for nearly a year and God finally answered my prayers and he’s now no longer suicidal and loves his new school that takes care of him and all his medical needs.

This reminds me of when my ex fiancé and I broke up, how God met me even though the whole situation was my own fault. He warned me not to pursue that woman but I ignored His warning. 2 years and a $10,000 ring later I was single again. I was yelling at God how “I had nothing,” when His presence manifested tangibly in the room, He poured love and mercy on me, He never even said, “I told you so,” even though we both new He had. Instead He said, “sit at my right hand.” Then he showed me the world getting small like a soccer ball under my feet. I knew that He was saying that as He redeemed this situation, the world would seem to “get smaller” to me.
A little over two years later I was moving to a new country, 2400 miles away to marry Jilliana. Not only did the world get smaller 🌍 but apart from Jesus Himself, she’s the biggest win of my life ⚽️. I see now God has mercy on me to deliver me from that toxic and unequally yoked relationship. He held on to me so tightly during my confusion and made all things new despite myself.

God cares about every detail of your life.

If you do not mind me sharing; the Sabbath was "sanctified" or "קָדַשׁ" which means to 'set apart for holy use' Gen 2:3 "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it..." (KJV), and thus Adam and Eve kept it holy. Infact, sin is defined as transgressing or breaking any of the 10 commandments as per 1 Jo 3:4 "..sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV). So, when Satan sinned, he actually broke the 10 commandments for indeed angels also have to keep them in heaven Psa 103:20 "Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments..."(KJV). Infact, the saints, described as those that "..keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Rev 14:12, KJV) will keep the 10 Commandments in the new heavens and the new earth including keeping the Sabbath holy by e.g gathering to worship the LORD as per:
Isa 66:22-23 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make...it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (KJV).
Hebrews 4:9 "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God." (KJV) The word 'rest' is translated from the ancient or traditional Greek Manuscript word 'σαββατισμός'
(Sabbatismos) - A Sabbath, Rest. The 7th day Sabbath still stands active today for GOD'S people.
I am not going to force you to keep Shabbat holy (i would encourage to do a study on this matter) but if you end up coming short in the end, remember that the LORD did reach out to you using me.
