RV Trip Wizard is our favourite. Route planning and data on almost every campground in the country. Photos, reviews, filters, tons of great info there.

As a more comprehensive RV trip planner, I am really surprised there was NO mention of RV Trip Wizard! Also, although you can't cover all the apps, one that I think is deserving of mention is RV Parky. Small app, free and has some nice features although it's focus is where to park when other options may be limited. I have found it useful.

Lot of great info, I am going to try to remember that Roadtripper shows some highlighted sites near by. Other great ideas. Going to watch this again! Thank you

This week’s show was excellent! Thanks for all you and your family do and for the information you willingly share each week. We have been RVers for years. Now that our kids are leaving home, and getting there own RV’s, we are starting to branch out a little further from our regular camp spots. Although, we live in Utah and still haven’t seen all that this beautiful state has to offer. But we’re trying 😊. Thanks again.

Thank you. Utah does have excellent places to RV. We have been there several times and still so much on our list to see there.

Great list thank you. Trip wizard should get an honorable mention. Saves u $400 when comparing GPS capabilities to the Garmin

We use many of the same apps, and I agree, you have to take the user reviews with a grain of salt. The only one I would add would be RV Trip Wizard (which also has route and trip planning). I use the apps you list, and then plan the trip with RV Trip Wizard. RV Trip Wizard, like Road Trippers, is part of the RV Life suite.
Great information and video, as usual. Thanks!

Yes I like RV trip Wizard better and thought I would do a separate video on it because so much is packed in it. I had a little segment about RV trip Wizard filmed but it didn’t quite fit in the edit. I wouldn’t have included Roadtrippers if it wasn’t part of the Campendium suite.

@@AllAboutRVs ...I get it. You need to put together a presentation that works the way you want to present a topic.
One thing is that many of these apps and sites have overlap. Sometimes a lot of overlap. And just like many things in life, not every service/product is right for every person in every situation. Young van campers are looking for and at things different than retirees in a 40' Class A.
For example, I like the way AllStays has different icons for different TYPES of locations. At a glance, I can tell if it is a National Forest, National Park, State Park, County Park, Corps of Engineers, Elks Lodge, Private park, etc. If I want to stay in a certain type of park, I can narrow that down pretty quickly by just glancing at the icons. One click and a scroll also tells me the max size at that campground, so if it doesn't fit our rig, I'm on to the next.
However, the reviews on AllStays aren't as comprehensive. There are no photos. It doesn't have a checklist of features, etc.
They all have different types of icons, I just find AllStays's icons and differentiation more informative, to me at least. But AllStays doesn't have route planning, so that's where RV Trip Wizard comes in.
I think the best way to frame it is as a full time or long term RV'er, you will have a work flow that works for you. That will likely involve several sites/apps. That will likely mean at least a subscription or two. You will cobble together the information that you think is important in planning your trip(s).
Some do similar things in their own ways (theDyrt, RV Trip Wizard, RoadTrippers) and some more used as supplements (AllStays, HipCamp, Harvest Hosts, etc).
Anyway, well done as always and thanks for the reply.

I think information overload is becoming the problem. Nobody can use all theaps and reach a decision in less than a week per campground.

The campsite notifier is a game changer!! I didn't know those existed! I've struggled to make short term reservations or make long term ones work. Last year I had to book Yellowstone 9 months in advance and hope it all worked out (it did). Now I have a chance at seeing some cool places w/o reservations 9 mos out!! Thanks for the revelation, Jared!!
