hey ! i believe you miss an important tech for farming breach : i believe the masteries to open chest is mandatory for breach especially in 360° map makes it a lot easier and faster to open the hand

A cool thing you can do if you're playing a caster build is to take the "25% chance to open nearby chests when you cast a spell" caster mastery as that also works on the hands and it's pretty much screenwide(although does go through walls, but that's probably not something you have on breach maps anyway) and makes it a lot easier.
They don't because of how many people share this sentiment. By requiring the clicks, they dramatically reduce the number of people who want to do it, preserving it's value.

I've been doing 80 maps with chayula (switched beyond for harbinger) and I dropped my first Mirror ever :D ! But yeah the profit is insanse with just the breachstones. I was also using reliquary scarabs for Uniques and i got shitloads of Severend in sleep and Red Dream uniques from the Breaches.
Legion Chayula combined is I think my personal favorite farm. Between the Chayula stones and the Legion drops, it feels super consistent and profitable.
Few tips: 1. Need to drop the "faster open/close" breach nodes and take the nodes that slow the breach. Hitting every hand is essential for max profit. 2. Gilded breach scarab is mandatory. Double splinters from hands is double the stones. 3. Doing this with legion and/or harvest is good synergy, the nodes are all together, and legion clear is just like breach clear. I run Gilded breach, polished legion, 2x fragments in map slots to keep price down, then legion on map device. For sextants, Breach, Chayula, additional legion, and last one is optional. Do double legion splinters if your DPS can handle it, hunted traitors or gloom shrines if not. With slower breach nodes you can pop multiple breaches / legions at a time and still get all the hands and monsters
Yeah I'm getting about 25% more splinters with the slower open/close. Probably depends on the build, but I feel way less frantic and am hitting every hand in every breach.
I did breach on dunes as league start strategy (uul instead of chayula) combined with shrines and harbinger, stockpiled everything and only converted as much to cover expenses and sold everything when it was relatively high prices e.g. breachstones 65c each. Never had so much currency that early on with a somewhat different gaming experience.
I recently did a a small test, little bit of juicing the maps, it also included breach as a part of the juice. 40 maps cost me 1000c to juice-up, and I ended up getting 5500c back from 40 maps. Breach is amazing, but the worst part of it is picking up splinters 1by1 :D Sadly not a single breach boss dropped me a full stone, I guess that was a low-roll
I ran this strategy and made some very good profits and even mapped out all my profits and drops in a grimro style sheet lol. Combined it with Harvest as I had around 50% chance to get a harvest, and those were an easy 20-30c every time I ran into it for free. I was averaging 5.6 breaches per maps, 25 splinters per breach and about 50c profit per map SOLELY from the splinters, not including any fortunate cards, chosen cards, etc.. Crazy profitable

With the low prices of emblems, is anyone still picking up splinters in stacks of less than 10 or so? I'm hiding them on my filter and it's a massive quality of life improvement.
I was running something similar on breach but I used Growing Hordes + Wandering path. The breaches have an additional 10% density and higher splinter drop chance. I didn't track profits but it felt more profitable than .7div a map but even if not, it felt more fun because there's a crap ton more monsters lol
I did this test and I found it to not be as profitable. The problem is missing out on the additional bosses and the 1/2/3% chance for additional breaches big node that makes a big difference, but the difference in profits was not a lot

I do actually use the slower opening node to make a little more chill, also makes it a little easier to manage opening multiple breaches at once.

I love endless tide, it makes beyond feel almost like it used to before the scourge thing. As far as actual worth goes, it's very good for exp and the loot seems pretty good, I got a lot more good tainted currency with it than from the pathetic boss drops.
Is it possible to combine your legion and breach strategies together? For atlas passive tree, start with the legion one, remove all the map and beyond nodes and add in breach nodes. swap out Hunters Traitors + Rare mob compass for the 2 breach compasses. Replace carto scarab for breach one. Last thing is the kirac mod and not sure which one is more important: breach or legion.
Atlas tree has nodes that increase chance of dropping a connected map. When you use one of your fav slots for a connected map that you like the layout of, you have a much much higher chance of dropping that instead of a random connected map that you might dislike.
If you’re focusing on expedition I would suggest a grand design approach, I ran that last league and it was really profitable :) I think tripolarbear did a vid on the strat last league (something about 4x runic monsters)
not sure if its 100% worth, but picking up the ilvl 83 breach rings may be worth a the gamba I tried this strat and got like 5-10 rings a maps thats like an average of 8 maps per grasping mail. A non fractured grasping mail with "Armour is increased by Overcapped Fire Resistance" going 14 div minimum. and a fractured one is going for like 70 divs

Breach is one of the deadliest league mechanics we have right now. I'm a pretty juiced map farmer, I'm doing magic find in Cemetery and I specced out of breach, mainly because of how rippy it is. The mobs are very fast and in extremely high quantities and they pack a punch. If you just do normal maps they can be fine, but if you go blue altars with quant option, or go magic find, you will open your breach and die, open the next breach and die again. That is provided you have a pretty strong build, if you have a weak build don't even try a non-blue non-mf breach farm, you'll just waste your breaches.

i got a question about those farming strategies. do you we really need to do it with T16 map ? or we can begin with low tier map and what would be the difference beside the difficulty to run them ?
You can do it on a lower maps but you might have a few issues sustaining and I'd recommend trying to keep it t14+ so that you can get eldritch altars they are a big loot multiplier.
dont do any farming strategy that requires investment before T16s. You can allocate breach nodes on the tree and clear them when you find them in the wild prior to T16s, but actually buying the sextant and scarabs and using them on a low tier map is a massive waste of currency. Almost all league mechanic related loot scales with map tier one way or another, GGG made sure of that after we spent an entire league farming legions in a T2 map. The only exception is essences.
I did a lot of breach a week ago, uul-netol at the time, the sextants you could get for 4c each and each uul-netol breachstone sold for 65-70c for a time last weekend. But after 3 days all the clicking got too much for me, had to switch.
Meanwhile I've been farming breach since I had enough Atlas Points after League Start (though only with Rusted Scarab) and I haven't even gotten a full Chayula Stone yet xP
do want to emphasise that you actually need a good build to do this. Breach bosses in an 8 mod vaal'd map can get super tanky and if you take more than 2 seconds to kill them, you will lose rewards elsewhere. So you need a shit ton of upfront dps with 0 ramp time, but you also need screenwide aoe and high mobility otherwise you won't clear the breach either. It's limited almost exclusively to tornado shot tbh, unless you start throwing 100+ div into other builds. Compared to legions which you can run on almost any build and full clear it as the mod on the atlas passive tree makes legions easier to open. The breach nodes make breaches harder to open. You can get around this by abusing shrines though. You'd need to use gloomshrine sextant + the gull and that carries your entire clearspeed, then as long as you have good upfront dps, you'll clear the breach. Shrines are lowkey underrated, everyone knows about them but I don't think people truely realise how hard they carry your clearspeed. And you equip that chest that gives you 2 permanent shrines for free and shrine buff effect, and the gull, and sextant for gloomshrine, you clear maps in

price will go down, but compasses and scarabs won't, so ppl will move away from farming breach. I've been farming breach for more than a week and might have to do something else now, because selling breachstones at half price isn't very appealing.
I have made a discharge build, strong enough for mapping but not 1 shotting guardians, whats the best way to start making currency since the reason i could make discharge is because lucky drops , so now i have a couple divines and want to start farming something for currency, but dont know what to do or start with 🙂
i tried fitting in breaches with a mf character and got way more breach uniques. like one sword every 3 to 5 maps. if player quant affects them, reliquary scarabs are very likekly to do so aswell

I've been doing it as EK ignite, just took the cast speed passives near elemental overload where you are pathing anyway, and can actually hit that passive with a timeless jewel as well so an extra bonus for my brutal restraint.
anything would work really, I'd recommend a link with haste and divine blessing just for the movement speed (can swap that out when not mapping if you dont really need the cast speed). Movement speed really helps once you have your defenses/dmg figured out. And a phasing, can use a stygian vise with abyss jewel with chance on kill, works well for me.
I liked breach because of the massive number of mobs that spawns and i can just nuke stuff to my heart content while its open... thinking i could farm something decent but more i deep dive the more im like f it 😂😂 I just wanna turn my brain off after work and nuke shit and find nice stuff to sell and for the love of all thats holy i can never remember to pickup hands when they drop

I got 2 chosen cards in 130 maps, and about 50 fortunate cards using polished div scarab as well. Only dropped 1 skin of the lords that sold for 6 div
Can't argue with the profits, but all that splinter looting kills it for me.
I would say it's not as bad as Legion as a comparison, not having to click the war hoards and wait saves a lot of time.

I farmed breach before this Video was released... Chayula Breachstones dropped from 75c to 50c since ... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... xD

I was actually curious if heavy breach reduces the total area the breach expands to.
in my experience i dont think it does, though i wouldn't claim to be 100% sure, i do get breaches that open to about 30-40% of the dunes map, roughly.

Sorry, been gone for a few leagues. What's the reason for allocating 1 Mesa/Strand as Favorite instead of allocating all on the same map?

You can do it on a lower maps but you might have a few issues sustaining and I'd recommend trying to keep it t14+ so that you can get eldritch altars they are a big loot multiplier.

dont do any farming strategy that requires investment before T16s. You can allocate breach nodes on the tree and clear them when you find them in the wild prior to T16s, but actually buying the sextant and scarabs and using them on a low tier map is a massive waste of currency. Almost all league mechanic related loot scales with map tier one way or another, GGG made sure of that after we spent an entire league farming legions in a T2 map.
The only exception is essences.
I did a lot of breach a week ago, uul-netol at the time, the sextants you could get for 4c each and each uul-netol breachstone sold for 65-70c for a time last weekend.
But after 3 days all the clicking got too much for me, had to switch.
Meanwhile I've been farming breach since I had enough Atlas Points after League Start (though only with Rusted Scarab) and I haven't even gotten a full Chayula Stone yet xP
Question , if compasses are 3 charges each why do you buy 50 of them per ? Wouldnt it only be a 3rd of that ?

do want to emphasise that you actually need a good build to do this. Breach bosses in an 8 mod vaal'd map can get super tanky and if you take more than 2 seconds to kill them, you will lose rewards elsewhere. So you need a shit ton of upfront dps with 0 ramp time, but you also need screenwide aoe and high mobility otherwise you won't clear the breach either. It's limited almost exclusively to tornado shot tbh, unless you start throwing 100+ div into other builds.
Compared to legions which you can run on almost any build and full clear it as the mod on the atlas passive tree makes legions easier to open. The breach nodes make breaches harder to open.
You can get around this by abusing shrines though. You'd need to use gloomshrine sextant + the gull and that carries your entire clearspeed, then as long as you have good upfront dps, you'll clear the breach. Shrines are lowkey underrated, everyone knows about them but I don't think people truely realise how hard they carry your clearspeed. And you equip that chest that gives you 2 permanent shrines for free and shrine buff effect, and the gull, and sextant for gloomshrine, you clear maps in

@@GrimroI did magic find, 83 quant, 200 ir. The profits were insane, like nearly 1 div per map, with uul netol. Bcs uul is now more expensive than chayula it's pretty funny.

price will go down, but compasses and scarabs won't, so ppl will move away from farming breach. I've been farming breach for more than a week and might have to do something else now, because selling breachstones at half price isn't very appealing.
I have made a discharge build, strong enough for mapping but not 1 shotting guardians, whats the best way to start making currency since the reason i could make discharge is because lucky drops , so now i have a couple divines and want to start farming something for currency, but dont know what to do or start with 🙂

i tried fitting in breaches with a mf character and got way more breach uniques. like one sword every 3 to 5 maps. if player quant affects them, reliquary scarabs are very likekly to do so aswell

Do Breaches scale with Pack Size? If so, I would drop 1 more maps node from the middle of your tree and spec into "Growing Hordes" on the top right.
This strat uses scarabs though

What would be a good caster build for breach farming? To be able to use the mastery that opens chests (clasped hands) just by casting spells.
I've been doing it as EK ignite, just took the cast speed passives near elemental overload where you are pathing anyway, and can actually hit that passive with a timeless jewel as well so an extra bonus for my brutal restraint.
anything would work really, I'd recommend a link with haste and divine blessing just for the movement speed (can swap that out when not mapping if you dont really need the cast speed). Movement speed really helps once you have your defenses/dmg figured out. And a phasing, can use a stygian vise with abyss jewel with chance on kill, works well for me.

having a few favoured connected map is a good way to sustain mapping, because they have a higher chance of dropping in a connected map.
