Hi everyone, I'm Rachel from stitch kit. We love sending Annie boxes to see what she thinks. Don't worry about the surprise being ruined with this box, the boxes will all be packed individually with lots of different kits so it will still be a surprise when you open them. Please do get in touch if you need any help or want more information
Thank you Annie for your video and sharing this amazing advent box. So agree I would have been over the moon for a box like this as a young person. I was lucky I always had something crafty in my stocking and like you book tokens, but I had a mum who was crafty so those gifts were always included. There were no kits around but she would put fabric thread and a transfer in a little packet. Kits now are amazing and such a variety of crafts. Waffle Wednesday would be a great time to do them especially with Rachel's message. Well done to Stitch Kit.
Sorry I'm so behind answering comments Carol, thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Ah yes, the Christmas gifts I remember are mostly arty crafty ones - art straws I had a lot of fun with, a set of plaster of paris with molds and paints to make a chess set, a knitting nancy with little balls of wool, just being given a bag of fabric scraps and sewing things was so exciting. I think I'd learned to use Mum's old hand-cranked Singer machine by the time I was 11, and used it to alter second-had clothing that was passed on to us - ah the excitement of going through a bag of cast-offs to see what we would find! I love ythat what so mny of us had to do of necessity has become de rigeur! :)
What a wonderful advent calendar kit! This is the sort of thing I would love now (30’s) but I would have loved as a child, too! All of those are such good crafts to do!
Wonderful video! I felt like I was opening my Christmas presents although I never get that many😀 I think it would take me longer than 2 days to do the cross stitch ones but I would start on 1st of December to give me more time and I think you should work on them in Wednesday live streams and we can see what they look like completed which will be fun. May ask Tom (husband)for this for Christmas 💕
Sorry I'm so mbehind with answering comments Liz, but thank you for such a lovely positive comment, I'm so happy you enjoyed it - I've nearly finished all the projects now and they were all really fun, I just have the felted snowman and as predicted the cross stitches left, I've saved them to enjoy over Christmas :) xo
I'm going for it Alison! - Aiming to have them all done by Christmas, but happy to have a bit of cosy crafting to do over the holiday period too, between eating and drinking and making merry - eat, craft, drink, craft, make merry, craft some more, that's my kind of Christmas :)
Sorry I'm so behind answering my comments, but yes indeed i did have a lot of fun with these, just the cross stitch ones left, which I'll do over the festive period. Jobs, what are they? :)
Thank you so much Renee - yes I am like a big kid at Christmas and I don't think I will ever watn to stop creating. For me these kits are a really relaxing way to create, cos all of the stuff I need is there, but I have scope to put my own spin on it if I want to (which I often do! ) I will be working on some of these in videos in the run-up to Christmas, as Rachael has now let me know that each box is different so I dont' ahve to worry about spoilers :)
Hi Annie, yes start on them now, they are Xmas decs so you can enjoy doing them and hanging them for Xmas but I don’t know about you but I’m over Xmas decoration making after Xmas day!
Hi Bea, yes I'm going for it - since this video, Rachael has let me know that each box is different anyway, and I will definitely enjoy making them in the run-up to Christmas :)
Yes, I was very happy to learn that each box is different - so watch this space for some more Christmas crafting over the next few weeks! Knowing me, I'll be putting my own spin on some of them, just because I can't reisist it! :)
Such a lovely advent box. As it’s advent yes open on the first of December most of these go on the tree yep gotta open on the first and decorate your house and tree. Think it’s safe to do on a Wednesday. Me I got an advent jigsaw for a friend will be gifting on the first of December little box you open and complete some of the puzzle looked so good had to get us one too. Nothing like a jigsaw at Christmas time.
Yes I've decided to go for it Paula, I hadn't realised when I was filming this that each box is different so I don't need to worry about spoilers. I will enjoy working on these in the run-up, and finishing them off between eating, drinking and playing games during the Christmas holiday week - and then I get to take them all out again next year too! oooh puzzle advent sounds like a fab idea as well :)
Thank you Jen, yes I'm going to start on them now, I'm really looking forward to it, might put my own little spin on some of them too ... can't resist :)
It's really a lovely box, I'm looking forward to trying all the crafts now in the lead up to Christmas and will video at least some of them - turns out I don't need to worry about spoilers because each box contains a different selection of the Trimits kits :)
Oooh I bet the Makerss Advent was brilliant wasn't it? I was SO tempted but in the end decided I just didn't have time to do it justice along with everything else I had planned - my inner magpie definitely disagreed though? How did you find it?
Thank you for this Annie. I did not watch the full video as plan to buy this. I appreciate the monthly box money off too as going to purchase that also. I am not going to read the comments either just in case any spoilers down there. I will likely come back and add a comment once I have opened the Christmas box and also watch the full video. Thank you as always :)
Oooh lovely, I think you will definitely enjoy it. Since making this video, Rachael has let me know that each box will be different anyway, so I'm going to start working on the projects without fear of giving spoilers. Please do share some pics of what you get in your box and what you make, I'd really love to see them :)
Yes start them, I have a sewing advent with 12 days in but my hubby’s put on highest shelf so I can’t open before lol so are they all same make of kits
hehe my hubby would have to do the same! I hope you'll share some pics of yours when you open it, I'd be very interested to see. Yes they're all Trimits, but apparently they bought up the entire range of their Christmas craft kits, so there's a good variety and each box will contain a different assortment - so I don't have to worry about spoilers :)
