Dragon flies in the Pacific Northwest Washington state and in BC Canada get very big I have seen fly fisherman use dragon fly patterns tied on a #2- 3 x streamer hook and catch big trout all day long on them during spring and early summer. Davie ties a beautiful dragon fly .
Congratulations Davie ! You captured the essence of a dragonfly nymph perfectly. Beautiful job!
All I can say is wow. Very realistic looking fly ,I’m always impressed with your tying ability! Perhaps one day I will be able to achieve a little of your tying skills. Thank you again! Have a safe and Happy New Year to all !
How many of you guys click the like button before watching the actual video? Or is that just me lol😁. Great imitation of that Dragon fly nymph Sir Davie, loved how you shaped the body👌

Nice pattern and excellent tying.
That was brilliant Dave, loads of tying styles and tips in that video, also a really realistic looking nymph as well. Happy new year 👏🥃
Just another great video Sir! Thank you for sharing!
Dragon flys are prime trout food in many ponds and still waters where I am! Never saw one with red eyes here
but easy to modify with melted mono eyes instead! Interesting you put lead lengthwise down each side almost the
same as I have been doing to add weight and shape on my version. Will adapt your version to suit and give it a try!
Thanks! All the best in 2022! 😊
Absolutely beautiful. I’d love to give that to a beautiful trout. Tight lines
Amazing video.
Hi Davie, happy new year. This is one of those flies I will leave to the experts like yourself! Beautifully done, but it’s just a step too far for me to do. I will enjoy just listening to you and watching an expert make it look so easy. Cheers mate. Harera

Super looking fly mate. Great way to end 2021. Thanks for sharing another great video. Think you could tie up a black stone fly mate? Have a great New Year evening. Can’t wait for what the Master will share with us all in the New Year. Best Regards from West Virginia, Ken
Outstanding again. Will go into my saves.
If you build up the body with something bouyant like pieces of old floating fly line you'll get a pattern that almost hovers in the water column. Very useful for prospecting around weed beds without getting hung up so much.
Good idea. . . I’ll try that!
Happy new year to you and your family 👍🇦🇺🍻
Great tying. I would put it in a frame.
Well, that one Ill need to try. Lots of dragonfly nymphs here or Mudeyes, are they get called. Cheers. Slainte
Happy New Year Davie!
