Interesting watching you manipulate the logs at various angles, to get them lined up to be balanced when you finally pick them up. Good lessons. Thanks!

I wish I was up there to help you. I actually love that kind of work. The only problem is, your in the Land of the Yank - Im not sure how long I could survive in so northerly an atmosphere LOL. Seriously though, all you are doing, I have done in my life - except the Alaskan Mill. Given he rest of your toys, I would have thought you would've purchased a Woodmizer portable mill or similar.

I have thought about it but don’t think I have the size of trees to justify it thanks for the continued views and always could use the help👍

Also love how wide you've cut that road. How wide is that? I was going to cut a trail big enough for a horse carriage but now that I see this, perhaps I should go ahead and do one wide like that.

I would say they are about 15 feet they are all old logging roads

Thanks for the videos. I’m looking at this tractor. How do you like it does it have empower for mowing and lift capacity with that grapple? Would you buy it aging or go up a model?

Yes it’s been great has plenty of power and I’ve never felt I have needed more. That being said the next horsepower model up is the same size tractor as far as dimensions but can have an evening capable loader attached so I would probably go that route if the extra cost wasn’t an issue. Just because there may come a time when I need that extra lift capacity although I have lifted some massive logs with this one. Hope that helps.

@@backinthewoods2022 you can put the next sized loader on your 4060. I did. The frame and engine can handle the next sized loader. No need for a bigger tractor.

Hello guys, I got a lot of white oak logs that diameter starting from 15 ' up to 35 ' by 14 feet long. I was thinking to get KUBOTA MX5200, Is that strong enough to work with those sizes ?

I don’t know the weight of those logs probably a calculation on the internet I also don’t know what kind of loader the tractor accepts and how much that loader lifts so I wouldn’t be able to answer that

Nice job on the video! Is that an SGC1060 grapple? If so how do you like it? I'm looking at The kubota L3901 and putting the SGC1060 grapple on it. Was thinking I would need a ballast on the back beside the loaded tires but you picked up that big log pretty good with that setup.

It is the SGC1060 it is the only grapple I have ever used but I’m glad I spent the money. I think I will probably have it on more then the bucket, it’s so handy. I would put some ballast on for sure I just had some wheel weights and it worked decent I was going very slow though. Thanks for watching have a good one.
