WONDERFUL!!!!! Warren Vachew is SO TALENTED!!! Thankful to have seen him years ago at Rick's Cafe in Chicago. He was so marvelous!!! I've been a fan for over 40 years.
I have the pleasure of living in the same area as Mr Vache so I've gotten to hear him on a number of different occasions. Even into his 70's he is still a killer player and his solos are so melodic.
One of the swingiest, most well-articulated, and tasty solos I have ever heard a white trumpet player perform. Never heard of this master. Thanks, TH-cam algorithm 😍✨️👌🏾🎺🎶
He has so many good licks in here but my fav has to be the little 4 16th note 2 eighth note straight thing he does. There’s just something so satisfying about playing a straight lick in jazz

This solo is sweeter than any candy
Yes like a violin !

The brilliant Warren Vaché at work.
Warren Vache is one of my personal favorites he loves to stay in key.

Yep, i didn't even know he existed until like 5-6 months ago. You can check out other transcriptions on him that i have made

My favourite lick at 2:26. He just put so much of he's soul into this)
That sounds a lot like it comes from Clifford's influence. That ghost tonguing is so hard to do, but so tasty.
Сердцем играет!!
Anybody know how he plays the high and low notes so differently at the start?
