I met Prince once After he played a show in Greenville SC. And we Had floor seats so in the way it after the show he came out of one of the portals to see someone he was expecting to see and I saw him out out the corner of my eye. This man who’d I’d loved since I was a five year old boy. And without thought I ran to him. No security, no nothing. He stood there and embraced me. I said “I love you and your music and I think Purple Rain is the greatest song ever written.” And this is the truth, he said, as he locked eyes with me, “ I know, I wrote it for you” And he probably said it to 1000 other people before if not more. And my eyes opened up and tears came out and I’ll never forget it the rest of my life. I’ll see you on the other side brother.
Prince beat Mozart, he mastered over 27 instruments by age 17, he could dance, sing any note, rap, he wrote, arranged, performed ALL his music, including wrote hits for other artists, he has covered almost every genre, Metal, Punk rock, hip hop, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues, country, ambience, classical. The Multi-Genre God. He could play anything, and your favorite artists have been deeply influenced by him. Corey Taylor, Steve vai, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, young thug, Sade, worship Prince to just name a few. Prince recorded his first 2 albums at 16 all by himself, all instruments, arrangement, composition, lyrics & vocals were all done by him. He was such a prodigy, that music executives wanted proof, they would fly across country just to see if he could really play all instruments, because it was so unheard of. Prince has over 50 official released albums and when he passed, they found over 10 thousand unreleased Prince music in his vault. He then came into the business and was the FIRST to fight for artists rights, and he WON. He would write "slave" on his cheek and go to meetings protesting against the industry. Prince was also the first artist to sell his music on the internet. You are talking about the most talented artist we will ever see. 💜💜
I'm a big Prince friend, but some of the "instruments " on his first album include finger snaps, hand claps and finger cymbals. He is amazing and without peers when it comes to his musical ability. Peace and be wild.
To get a feel of the real live Prince, check out "Prince - Play that funky music live". You will get to see why people call him a genius. You won't be disappointed. Great karma you guys.

Nobody has more swag or talent than Prince. Women worshiped him and loved how he dressed. He made some men uncomfortable because he oozed sexuality💜💜 His confidence was what made him sexy too
Chod, his "1999", "When Doves Cry" and "Little Red Corvette" are next for you! Prince blocked all his videos before his death. Hope you get to see more of this great artist/multi-instrumentalist/performer.
You should introduce her to the entire album track by track. They'd be fun reactions to watch. I was fortunate to see him perform live three times. Oh, also you should give a listen to the extended version of Computer Blue on the deluxe edition of Purple Rain released after his death.
You would genuinely be shocked at all of the songs that Prince has. Especially since his passing and the songs have come out of the vault. It's mind-boggling
Prince was an extremely talented man, we're the same age so sad he passed. My favorite version of this song was during the half time at the Super Bowl in the pouring rain.
Prince is just one of those special people that come into the world to have an effect on everyone for the better. A musical Genius, a philanthropist just all-around good person. Gone way too soon💔
Nope Prince ALWAYS made GREAT music always from the minute I heard him back in 78 and I was 14 till the day that man died on April 21, 2016. It will be 6 years next month. Watch the movie and the ones that came after Purple Rain too Graffiti Bridge and Under The Cherry Moon and his concert movies too like Sign O The Times and Rave Unto The Year 2000. Another concert to check out, there all spectacular, is the one he did in 2013 at Montreux he did 3 nights there all fantastic but that 3rd night... he got very emotional with some of the songs namely The Break Down and The Love We Make. So am I a fan? Well... what I am and what I feel for that beautiful smart gifted loving man there are no words for what I feel for him. That he always belonged to Jesus Christ to me makes him perfect on top of what God made him to be. I sincerely thank you guys for doing this video you got a friend for life now for that. God Bless you guys. 😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🙏 PS I'm betting what's on your phone is When Doves Cry and if you do the video to that song do the extended version everyone that does that song always does the short version and they cut out the end of that song. Same with Thieves In The Temple do the extended version of that song too or you will cut off a lot at the end. Peace guys. :)
I've been a Prince since I was 15 years old, that was in 1984 when I bought my first album ever and that was Purple Rain. Within two years I think I bought every album he had made up till then and never stopped listening to his songs. His songs are the soundtrack of my life and I thank him for that and the brilliant things he did... no one ever comes close to his talent for me💜
OMG Prince was just so talented and gifted in many ways that made him ahead of his time, singer, song writer, was able to play 27 instruments, and has written so many songs that he had more unpublished than published.
I'm the biggest PRINCE fan from the day I watched the 1999 Music Video 💜💜💜💜💜 . I also recommend you guys watch his concert movie Sign "☮" the Times (1987) .. it's a breakthrough in film making - how a concert should be shot, the lighting setup, how big his band was, his dancer Cat, his female drummer Sheila E, the stage setup, the Performances and music was from his just released double album Sign of the Times ..
Oh man y'all, Prince has a plethora of hits. Listen it's a rabbit hole so deep. My personal faves are KISS, CREAM, RASPBERRY BERET, LITTLE RED CORVETTE, but that's just a few of so many. I can't list them all. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Old guy here and "Prince" is one of my music heroes and being misunderstood most of his life resonates with me vehemently. There are so many people and musicians especially that didn't know he was a virtuoso on the guitar.

💜💜💜💜 Have loved Prince since 1979! Purple Rain is one of my favorite movies. Saw it, when it came out in 1984, in the theater, and have watched it many times since. Never get tired of it. Got the ambum before I even saw the movie and think I wore the thing out! 😂
Great video..Purple Rain is a semi autobiography..his father was hard on him as a kid but wasn't physically abusive..both parents are black..the rivalry with the Time is somewhat true but Prince created, wrote and produced The Time 💜
My sister and her friend saw this show at the Cow Palace in 1985 and told me "Even if you just kinda like Prince, you should see this show." So I went, couldn't find anyone to go with me. Got a floor seat third section back for about thirty bucks. The ushers let us rush the stage for the encore(s), so I saw this song and a couple others from about ten feet away. Mind blowing. To this day it's in the top five concerts all time for me. Out of hundreds. King Crimson, Genesis, 100+ Grateful Dead, The Who, The Police. Maybe top seven, tough to say.
I just saw a prince video doing wild cherrys "play that funky music white boy". It's a small venue and I am lost for words. Try to put this on your show. It's something to behold!
💜 The best live concert I ever saw, by far, was Prince and the Revolution, January 19, 1985 at the Erwin Center, here in Austin. Sheila E opened for him and was also really entertaining. I was 14, so probably too young to see Prince live 🤫, but it was incredible and he was one of the best musicians to have lived. Please also listen to the entire 1999 and Parade albums (though you can't go wrong with nearly anything in his catalog).

I can never answer what my favorite song is...but Purple Rain is a perfect song.
Looks like you gotta show her "While My Guitar gently Weeps " from the Hall Of Fame Induction with Prince doing the last guest solo.
Prince was a maestro & true connoisseur of music. I mean he basically did it all, he wrote, sang & composed all his music
and danced,
Sure, except the song "Cream" had horrible lyrics.
When he walk over and kiss her that was very emotional

How many of those instruments were invented after Mozart died...just asking...we do have alot more opportunities than some folk.
