Strange World is a 2022 American computer-animated science-fiction action-adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The 61st animated film produced by the studio, it was directed by Don Hall, written and co-directed by Qui Nguyen, and produced by Roy Conli. The film stars the voices of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu, and follows the Clades, a legendary family of explorers who must set aside their differences as they embark on a journey to a mysterious planet named Avalonia, inhabited by surreal lifeforms.
Strange World takes inspiration from pulp magazines-popular fiction from the first half of the 20th century; the film also pays homage to retro science-fiction flicks such as Journey to the Center of the Earth and King Kong. In addition, the land of Avalonia was given an orange-and-white color palette to contrast with the titular strange world, as the filmmakers chose red and magenta. To communicate non-verbally, several animators worked to create the movement of the character Splat. Henry Jackman composed the film's musical score.

I actually love the idea that their world is on the back of a giant turtle, it's my favorite Native American myth.
Actually a fact its been historically documented in many different cultures that we in fact live on the back of a giant turtle. turtle island
So is their world the only country on Earth? At the end it zooms out and there are no other landmasses. It's beautiful and depressing at the same time. Like theres no one else or nowhere else and we're all we have.

This movie is just so amazingly designed and so beautifully animated, I really loved it. I'm also heavily nerding out about all the cool biology, I love that the world turns out to be one organism. It shows so clearly that everything is connected and you can never tell what outcome your actions will have on your environment.
This movie is real life. You may never understand what’s truly going on.
I loved the creature design and the world itself! I think this movie needs more people to see it fully to see that this movie is actually good, of course it isn’t the most amazing but honestly I got so excited by it and smiled at every creature and the plot twist of the turtle :0
Why does everyone think that the movie turning red is about a girl getting her cycle? Just because her mother mentions it in the movie. The girl said yes to cover up the fact that she had the curse. It's a curse on the family. How could the family make their cycles go away? And no one else in the whole movie is a red panda but theirs.The movie is about emotions and trying to deal with them. The mom is so big because she lets her emotions get the best of her. Do your research.

I was pointing out the body parts this whole movie! Wow that looks like interior of bones. Those look like cells. Those trees looks like its breathing, they even branch out like lungs. Instead of being surprised about the turtle I was like that makes since and I was able to point out other body parts.
When they revealed they were living on a turtle I was reminded of the cult classic wii game xenoblade chronicles and it’s sequel xenoblade chronicles 2 which have people living on larger creatures called titans

I personally don’t favor the cartoons who talk about adult business u find it unnecessary. Children should be free to dream and imagine not think what boy or girl they have feelings for they have enough time to be traumatized by the system and all of societies biases. I won’t be allowing my children to watch this aside from that it was good and confusing the end part mostly. Searcher’s dad knocks on the woman’s door he left 25 years ago and there is a man there she’s been with who HUGS him?? And she accepts his flowers ??? So a triangle is also in this movie 🍿?
