Disney is here to take us on a journey to a strange new world, a world that’s both familiar and alien. Join Jake Gyllenhaal as he goes on an adventure with his family to help secure a legacy that he can pass onto his children. As the Clades make their way through an unfamiliar land, we’ll go over several easter eggs you may have missed during your initial viewing. Be it the microbiology that inspired the monsters, or the references to Frozen and other Disney films, this movie had a lot packed into it. There’s also a surprising number of Marvel easter eggs that you may have missed, which is fitting considering they’re owned by Disney, and this is the first Disney movie to sport the Disney 100 logo, setting the tone for a new age of films! And much like how there are things you may have missed regarding the Marvel references, you may have missed a few classic film tropes there as well. From Star Wars to Akira Kurosawa, this movie is unashamed to wear its influences on its sleeves. Speaking of sleeves, there’s even easter eggs in the costumes! But you’ll have to watch to find out about those. There was a lot of effort put into the character work, more than you might expect. It’s clear that Disney wants Splat to be on every lunchbox in the nation, and there was a lot of ingenuity put into his creation. Let’s see what you missed in Disney’s Strange World!

Loved this movie. Why can't people have open eyes and an open heart. Everyone deserves representation. We are all equal at the end of the day. Let love win. They're not tryna brainwash. They're just speaking for people who deserve to be seen as well.

Seriously, read the descriptions in the Bible of how Sodom and Gomorrah was. Not too different from modern-day America. This movie was so much fun! I recognized the immune system bit right away and I loved the fantastic creatures. People truly screwed the movie over with all the woke nonsensical talk. Just watch a movie with attaching some political dividing thought.

Quite unfortunate that this film sort of flopped. I mean, I wasn't really wowed by it myself. I basically agree with everybody else: fantastic visuals and animation style, interesting twist at the end that really supports the allegory in a clever way, but it has a very lacklustre and cliche screenplay and unmemorable characters. Still though, it was alright, and I really do feel for all the people who gave their lives to this film and it came to nothing.

Everyone keeps saying this movie is 'woke' and that's why it failed. I saw it and can't see what the nonsensical 'woke' argument is all about. The main character's sexual orientation had nothing to do with the plot or the central conflict of the movie. He didn't even kiss anyone.

If the only thing being advertised is the characters' sexualities and not the plot or story, then that says that the plot and story are not engaging enough to be a selling point and is therefore not worth anyone's time
