I have a g35 and they sound pretty nice stock
I miss the stock exhaust lol. Been considering on going back to it
First mods to do an Exhaust second mod Header 3rd mod cold air intake 4th mod Upper Tower Strut bar lower tower strut bar 5th mod Front and Rear Anti-Sway Roll bars 6th mod an aluminum Radiator and a high performance thermostat 7th mod an oil catch can 8th mod an oil cooler kit 9th mod a nice set of rims and tires 10th mod coilovers and you are set from there on the mods just continue Front and Rear lip kit Side skirts extension and you got yourself a head turner street modified car that's my list of mods for my 2010 Corolla XRS my Interior mods are going to be a 4 inch shifter extender a 5 Speed shift knob manual racing pedals a 3 inch Deep dish aftermarket Racing steering wheel with an NRG hub and quick release kit and possibly Bride Racing Bucket seats and 4 point Takata harness that's my complete mod list heck I might even boost my Corolla with a turbo and tune the map I love to be unique and stand out from the rest I love building cars that nobody else would do or ever thought of doing being different from the rest is what I'm about

lol I did a muffler delete, although it probably gives no gain it really does sound meaner with that vq noise still kicking

Yeah I'd say go for it. If you can swing it, get the G37 instead. Little newer, little nicer interior, little more modern

Make sure you can control it and you have money. I bought my first car a g35 little over a month ago 17 so dont have a lot of money but damn this car scares me a lot. Also whatever you do try not to break it lol

Just got a 2005 G35 sedan 6MT that needed an engine, and got a 06 rev up engine for 1200 to install and then the mods will begin.

Thanks! Yes that's one of the companies that makes the rep. I dont recommend it because its only 2.25in piping. The quality isnt great (tips turn brown, fitment), and imo they dont sound good. After people spend the money to make it sound better (magnaflow X pipe), and replacing gaskets or fixing the tips. They could've used that money for something better.
OPDrags good to know, when I got my g it came with a dna exhaust system and I’ve been wanting to replace with a full tomei but I just wanted to see what people think. When you compare $200 to $1200, you can see why people cheap out.
Oh for sure. Thats why I recommend more affordable exhausts first. Honestly I think the best exhaust for the budget is ISR. Single 3in so you get the most gains and because of the resonator it sounds deep. Ill be switching to that here soon and do before/after dyno runs
I got a 2005 G35 coupe got anything good I could add for it? I wanted to get more power and some better handling. I love in California so if you know anything that could help me improve but also stay in the legal law that would be great thanks!!!
Definitely do coilovers and sway bars for handling. The sway bars you'll feel the biggest improvement from. Then for power could get a nismo or invidia exhaust. Shouldn't be loud enough to get in trouble but feel some nice gains on the butt dyno from that. 5/16 plenum spacer will be noticeable, mrev2 or ported lower plenum, and then whatever legal intake you can get and with those your butt dyno will be happy. Car will have a bit more pep in it. Dont think you can have test pipes because of your smog stuff but could look into high flow catalytic converters. That would be a nice noticeable difference from the stock catalytic converters
I’ve got a g35 and I want to mod it but I have no idea what to do🤦🏽♂️ don’t know where to search for parts nor what brand/parts to buy. I need some education and help on what to do, you think you could help me out?
Ps. It’s not the coupe it’s a sedan. It may as well be a coupe because of how small it is but with it being a sedan would that affect anything?

Mercy VC I would look into a plenum spacer. Super easy mod and will feel the difference.
For exhaust, get test pipes. Feel the difference from that right away and will open the exhaust up. Then you can decide what route you wanna go for the rest of it
For suspension some good budget coilovers I'd recommend would be Tein

Ok took a look underneath its not stock , has a muffler in middle of car then pipes straight out the back, its pretty loud sounds awesome though, probly a couple of extra hp there, i havnt driven a stock one so i cant compare them

Can I do a plenum spacer on my G35? I have a 2008 G35 XS sedan...and are there any install videos that will help? And will it mess with my ECU??
You have the HR motor so there arent any plenum spacers because it's not needed. You can buy ported upper plenums and that would be a nice upgrade and wouldn't mess with the ecu
how much power would that give me if you had to guess? Can I put it on stock, as my first mod? Or should I do something else first
You can put it on as a first mod. Without a tune you wont see much. With a tune probably up to 10hp. But tune when youre done with all your modifications
OPDrags hey you still reply? I was confused when people just say tune I just installed a cai on my car so what tune do I use?
@@jdub7651 people say tune the car so you get all the parameters good and get the most power from your mods. But being if the cai is the only mod you've done or you have a couple more. I'd wait to tune the car until you're done with the bolt ons you wanna do. Uprev is the tuning software, it's what I have as well
I just bought a 350gt (Australia) more of a bike guy , but thought id buy one for fun , i wouldnt have a clue which exhaust is on it , bought it from an auction, it seems pretty loud ,like not stock pipes , how can i tell whats under thete is there something to look for? Keep in mind i dont know what the oem pipes look like .
What does the rear muffler look like? These cars with the stock exhaust actually sound really good and most people would think its aftermarket. But Google images the stock exhaust and then just peak under and see what you find. Lmk what you see

This is my old setup. It was motordyne ART pipes, motordyne XYZ pipe with resonator, and an ebay nismo replica exhaust.
Other mods were LMT 4in intake, NWP 75mm throttle body, and Blox 5/8 plenum spacer
If I were to put in a plenum spacer will I be able to pass smog???
Yes you will
depends what brand you buy, where you go and where you are from. in california if you dont have a carb legal one or the eo number you cant pass smog

I wish I did. However when I had a shop install it like 5 years ago. They didnt use half the supplied hardware. So 5 years later the gasket went bad and it developed stress cracks around the bolt holes. But I always recommend it to people. Its a great mod with many benefits

I'm assuming just the rear muffler? Yeah could do that. I've seen a few videos over the years of people having it. Makes a nice subtle difference

Ehhh wouldnt straight pipe. But look into resonated test pipes or high flow catalytic converters. Those will make a big difference

Well definitely get an exhaust first. Top speed makes one and its a great exhaust for the money. Cheaper options than the others

Just got my G35x sedan, and was wondering if I could put a coupe midpipe on it?
You can. what year is it? The coupe mid pipe benefits the 03-05 more. In 06 they switched to a smaller resonator. My friend had an 06 X and he used my mid pipe and it did make a difference but not as much as it would on the earlier models
07, what would you recommend I do to my exhaust for more power and a better sound. Not trying to buy a whole exhaust right now, also this is my first car so sorry for the newbie questions.
Look into the top speed pro 1 exhaust. Y pipe back exhaust so not doing a full exhaust and your butt dyno will be happy

Edgar a super cheap option is getting a coupe midpipe. Improves the sound a lot. Catback wise you've got borla, MagnaFlow, possibly a blitz if you can find one. Or could just do a coupe midpipe and get a muffler off ebay.
Unbolt the muffler. Sounds decent and it doesn't cost shit. If you dont like it put it back on
