You can just plug up your iPad (if you have the pro version or maybe the cheaper one) via the type-c chord. I think you can set it up natively WIFI anyways. It was the reason why I discovered this. I had a Macbook Pro 2015 (I sold it yesterday for $1200 spec'd out).
@@AveMcree Yeah...I use my iPad and Mac all the time via IDAM...the iPad and the PC has always been hit or miss. Will definitely revisit since you did this walk thru and will report back how it went.
I have this is the past but was having serious latency issue. At times it will skip notes so I stopped using it. I felt may be my PC is not powerful enough. Now that I have a more powerful PC, I tried it and it rocks. Sync is awesome. Everything is in real time. I wish I have a better PC then, could have done serious jobs with it.

Using the daw to create synth lines with the apps on the Pad. Thats my biggest hurdle. I love the apps on the Ipad but cant figure out how to sequence them. Any help?

Great video! I recently experimented with RTP MIDI with a VPN (Hamachi) with my friend, so we can play and receive MIDI data over the internet. He was able to play my DX-100 from his house in real-time! Super cool stuff.

It was super easy because with iOS12 and above you could just plug it into with a USB-lightning cable and whalah, Ableton recognized as midi device instantly. Then my MacBook passed away and I got a Windows and haven’t been able to figure out how to connect it, so this is super clutch. Thank you once again Ave
if you have an audio interface hooked up to your iPad. You can set it up as a send/return for your hardware synth (or Ableton Live if you use that DAW).

There is also an app called LK from @Imaginando Touchable Pro (For Ableton , like a Push) from Appbc MetaPad and Metagrid (multiple uses for pretty much any audio visual program) for IPad Lemur is still available for OSC and Midi (quite old and fiddly but is a beast once understood fully) Presonus Studio one has a dedicated app apply called Studio One Remote Alternatively Cubase has a dedicated app called IC Pro As well as I’m sure everyone knows so Does FL Studio There is also RsTouch Pro for Reason by Harmony Systems.

Yes, if those apps are available for iPhone too.... All you're sending is MIDI to your DAW via WIFI

Been using it for a few years w/o a problem. No one should have a public server anyways. It's common sense not to mention a VPN
