- In this video, I am going to show you guys how to make UK/NY Drill Beats In Fl Studio! Some of my favourite drill artists are Pop Smoke, Shaybo, and Fizzler. The genre is defined by its dark melodies, as well as its unique/complex drum and 808 patterns. What I showed you in this video is pretty much the basics of drill music. There is definitely a lot more you can do in the genre but this will give you guys a good start. Let me know what genre you would like me to breakdown next!

I was learning that in order to hear the 808s in your phone you gave to subtly turn up the mids but not over do it. Im a work in that theory myself and see where it goes

Hey massive props for actually knowing drill! A lot of the tutorials out there use the wrong drums and completely miss the sound of drill. Yours is actually quite good for a non drill producer, respect! Just a few tips though for anyone who wants to add more- the arrangement of drill beats are slightly different. You can add an intro 808 in the beginning that’s very simple. It adds to the dark vibe.

This is actually good, been tryna move over to drill from a more mainstream trap sound. Drill is putting us UK producers on the map.
Just a little tip, vocals chops of screams and random noises help to fill up space and add to the dark effect of the song. Quality video though, keep it up

Another tip : Sometimes Drill Melodies have alot of low end cut off (Sometimes even all the way up to 500 Hz). The piano can also have an attack or fade in and out. Great Vid Simon! 💯
