Every time futurists get to the typical "Yo we're going to be cyborg hive minds connected to AI! No more individualism or privacy!" I lose all interest and start to appreciate my life in the moment more.
I am more afraid of what happened in the past will repeated once again in the future. So aside from learning more about the past, what can be done to figure out the solutions to prevent bad things from happening?
There are two entire generations that can't imagine life without the Internet, GPS and smartphones. What technology will develop in the next 20 years that the next generation will not be able to imagine living without?

Good question... probably something related to AI applications in many different fields
A different answer could be: the next generation tech could be bows and swords. A scary possibility.
