Camera quality isn't really an issue. Look at how much Cletus uses iPhones. I think part of the reason people like your channel is because it's super relatable and I personally really like when you explain things, it helps me learn. It's TH-cam not TV. I don't want to watch some super edited production TV show. I want to watch the Boosted Boys keepin it real.
I agree. I think just posting more often, even the things you guys updated but didn't film would benefit you. Not all videos have to be viral videos for us to enjoy.
Work Flow for editing videos is more important than video quality currently. What ever is the easiest camera to get footage into your editor of choice and make producing video easier. Thus you can focus more time on the cool subject. iPhone doesn't seem to be that case.
Definitely get lapel mics. Just using the built in mic makes whoever is holding the camera super loud, and anyone far away from the camera is too quiet. By wearing lapel mics everyone's volume will be much more consistent
I'll second this, the huge volume jumps on this channel require a constant hand on the volume. I don't think a camera would make as big of a difference as a dedicated camera guy, but you lose some of the vibe

I'm one of your new E-Roy subscribers. I wouldn't worry about the camera or audio, they seem fine to me. As one other commenter already mentioned, do what you love and and the views will follow. That said, I personally enjoy watching you guys problem solve/troubleshoot challenges, come up with out-of-the-box solutions, test those solutions and find new ways to make these cars amazing. That's why doing what you love works, because you will put the time and energy behind finding ways to achieve your goals. And that's engaging content. Thanks for the content.
I honestly don't think the channel needs any improvements at all a new camera would be cool but definitely not necessary. You all always have amazing content and no matter what direction you guys go the real fans will be here for it!
As someone who works in film/television production and deals with high end cameras and cinema rigs every day, I don't think the camera that you use will be the determining factor for retention and how people interact and react to your video. I feel like the biggest reason that the E-Roy videos have done so well is due to how clear it is that the project is exciting to everyone. Even Wyatt seems to be hooked on the project, and hes a dude who is a genius when it comes to diesel trucks; a far cry from an EV. But i feel like this is why the videos did so well: everyone was out of their element and super super stoked to learn something new and figure it out. The essence of the project is what became the most intoxicating part of the whole build. I can't wait to see where this goes and what other records E-Roy breaks in the coming months. Godspeed boosted brothers, I hope you take the car to the moon.
Also crazy what you can get out of an iPhone these days, for better or worse. If anything they should look into getting an outside editior like most channels. I just started taking freelance work, and there are a ton of channels out there looking for editors to make more time for content production.
Very well said, I can't agree more, its the content people are interested in, cameras are simply tools of the trade. The iPhone is great as its always available, carrying a DSLR or pro rig around just isn't convenient or practical, with the exception of doing a special or something like it, on the other hand, the Insta360 Pro II is interesting not for its ability to capture 360 footage but more for its ability for you to chose angles in the edit..
@@EDDSkitz I mean the new iPhone 15 pro has support for 3D video capture, ProRes recording, and is now equipped with ACES color profiles. It’s legitimately more of a cinema camera than a lot of mirrorless cameras now.
Video quality isn’t a problem, it’s great! It’s the consistency of which you upload. You’re all over the place with it. Some weeks there is no video and not even a community update post.
Try grafting a sleeper chassis onto the eRoy frame. I think the wheel base is ~116in, so an eRanger (long bed), eCrownVic, eCamino, or an eOdyssey might be a few options. No one suspects a minivan to go into cheetah stance at a red light, lol.
like they do with the resto mods.... i like that idea. a 90's accord or a 80s Datsun truck with arches might fit with some alterations. there is also the option of actually building the cyber truck or a plad pickup in the style of the holden ute's any big build like that would be cool but i do like the idea of a resto mod style but it might lose views as its not the plastic fantastic style of the tesla.
I know your job is to make sure videos have views, but I wouldn't stress too much about the algorithm. Always do what you want and have fun, that always translates to good videos. I think growing naturally is the way to go. You are easily likable, that's what really matters. I will always watch all of your videos no matter the content. I think the Tesla content was cool and you added a bunch of new fans from it. edit: your videos look/sound fine, nothing wrong with the phone video. Nice cameras/lenses are mostly just a pain, another thing to worry about being charged/settings correct etc.
Honestly this whole channel has been a very genuine and real vlog where you show alot of the problems and honest view of your builds and what you are doing. I think TH-cam goes for a more corporate approach where you are expected to show only the highlights and exciting moments. I've always appreciated the intimate and real approach you take you each video. however I can say its very excited seeing you come out with a video packed with action like cutting apart a Plaid. Stay true to what you enjoy because above all the viewers/subs are sticking around because you are doing what you love and what makes you excited and happy. I'm looking forward to future content but please don't get lost in the camera quality or editing or anything superficial because what has made you so popular is you genuineness. I would agree with your assessment. I think a lot of people are watching him for what he does and how he shows all of the mistakes and the fixes. Wyatt is a fantastic addition to the channel and he is one sharp MFR!
You guys gotta take the tezzie to high elevation tracks and see if the time improves because of the lower air resistance. Also definitely think about making the windshield removable and make something like Mercedes-Benz W125 Rekordwagen
i’m amazed electric cars haven’t taken over pikes peak, they don’t have to suffer a loss of horsepower like a combustion engine due to lower oxygen content

I've been around since the og street racing video in the hatch, and yall have been one of the only channels to stay in my roster all these years, I saw one comment about lapel mics and think it's a great idea, and another saying they prefer the iPhone shoots, and I agree. I think it keeps yall super relatable to your audience and that's the best part!
If I had to make a suggestion it would be higher quality audio. For example in the 05:00 area is MUCH quieter and more difficult to hear than later in the video. This can be addressed either with better recording equipment (microphones) or in post editing by normalizing the audio track.
Normalizing is something a lot of channels haven't figured out yet. When you're trying to keep the volume down for others in the house. One minute, it's BLASTING your eardrums out of you're skull. Way too loud. Then, for the next minute, the equipment tries to protect itself. And drops the sensitivity level down. Then you can't hear a thing. Another BIG bad is not having a good wind protector on your device! Nothing is worse than hearing the wind blowing across the mic! which causes the device to cut down the sound input level again.
As someone who really hasn't watched your channel before Eroy, the camera quality and talking to the camera doesn't bother me at all. What drew me in and hooked me was the content. I watched a ton of drag car content from Cleetus and started to get a bit bored of it. I'm not even really a fan of EV's but this caught my attention because the concept was interesting. I hadn't really seen a Tesla go kart. Watching you guys try to get the record and the creative ways you had to come up with to go faster was really different and interesting. It wasn't just another video of "let's throw a $20k engine in and go faster". That also makes it a lot more relatable. It's buying a wrecked car, just pulling panels off and trying to see how fast it goes. It feels like something any of us could do. That's what hooked me on the Ruby series from Cleetus. The idea of buying a cheap auction corvette, fixing all the issues with it and making it go fast on a "budget" feels alot more down to earth to the normal folks. Once he gets into putting in crazy engines and transmissions, I start to lose interest. Doesn't have to be EV content, but those weird off the wall concepts are interesting to me.

Rear inner sidewall wear on the rear is unfortunately common for the Plaid. I had a tire fail in the exact same way. The "fix" I did was adding adjustable rear camber arms to reduce the camber in the low suspension setting. Not that you are worried about tire life but might be nice to have anyway as you move forward with this build.
The camera has never really been a problem, if you're looking to improve views and retention, just keep uploading, TBH you used to upload videos a lot more frequently. IMO people don't care that much about video quality as long as they feel apart of the action. I won't lie I skip thru you guys talking about the cars majority of the time because if I wanted to see people talk about their cars I'd watch Cooper's podcast. Which is great, just everything has a time and a place. I think that you got the most views and retention when you were excited about getting the mr2 to the top.... MOONTUNE BABY!!! LOL! But that's what I mean, people get excited for the journey, there isn't much of a journey any more. I still love this channel and watch every video but if what you referred to in the video is a concern, you heard it here from a concerned viewer.
Yeah the cameras are fine. Small investment in Mics wouldnt hurt sometimes (Rode Wireless Go kit?) but the only reason to change cam would be for their workflow, iphones have great cams

It's like buying nice work boots if you're a construction worker or nice scissors if you're a barber, etc. Just do it. They're gonna make you thousands of dollars and you'll be using them all day every day.

Multi camera angles can add a lot to a car channel. GoPro + DSLR + a little iPhone footage seems like a solid combo. Helmet cams etc. More crazy Japanese car vids too!
I'm one of those viewers who just comes for the Tesla Cart. I'd say what would help me watch other content is to integrate the cart in with your other builds. So a video like, "We're Building a Car that Smokes the Tesla Kart" then the content would have them compete with a little bit of background of the builds and what makes them unique.
you have the best car channel on youtube. Don't worry about being something other then what you are doing. Just keep filming fun stuff you do and document all of your failures so that we can learn thru you. Thats the number 1 reason why I enjoy your channel. You don't just show the wins, you show the process and the process isn't always perfect.

I think what your doing is great as it is. Im waiting to see the NSX build and more stuff with all the car's. Plus doing a build for Witt would be awsome to see. I started watching you years ago when you were taking regular cars and doing your best to compete with your low cost garage mods. I'd say, if you could do more stuff that's relatable to people that don't have a ton of money for Quafe Sequentials and billet block motors. I love seeing that stuff too, but I love projects that are done on a budget because I get this notion that it's possible for me if I really wanted to try. Also, I think if you film more antics and events with your current fleet would go a long way towards boosting your numbers. We don't get to see the projects that we followed for years doing cool stuff often enough. Maybe get into circuit racing or drift events. Mix it up. Love the channel and i'll watch it whatever you guys do.
Cleetus said in one of his videos a while ago something about nobody surprises him with cool stuff, you guys could build him something. Also personally I'd love to see you guys do something cool for Brent, he's always so so happy when you're around.
I had forgotten the Ice Cream Cruise was a thing that existed much less that it's just a short drive outside of Omaha... Maybe I'll see y'all next weekend! As for the videos, I do think the heavier mix of multi-camera track action sprinkled in with the pit/shop phone camera content works great and is what makes the E-Roy videos hit but it's hard to rival the non-stop excitement those track days had but E-roy sucked me in and now I can't stop watching y'all myself!
There is always room for improvement on the production level on any TH-cam channel, but I would consider your channel to be very good already. In my opinion (and everyone has one, so take it for what it is), the reason you get so many views on the Tesla is because right now, that is the number one selling American vehicle (as sad as that makes me), and when you post videos about having the fastest one in the world, you are going to get a lot of eyeballs on it. The quality of your content is very consistent, and I don't think that changing cameras is the key to more views, it is just as simple as the content. I think all car channels have this issue, not just yours, and when you put up content on more popular cars, more people will see the videos. I love watching all your videos, and I am a Honda guy (which is how I found you), but I will watch you guys no matter what the content is, because I am a car guy at heart, and you all are fun to watch. I imagine that the Tesla viewers you draw in are more likely to only be interested in Tesla content only or possibly electric car content, where as your long time Honda viewers will watch anything you do. Keep up the good work Brother!

I came for the Tesla stuff because I am interested in what "Car Guys" are doing with the new electric stuff as I like the possibilities, but I subbed because I liked the personality and the other projects they are doing too. Also, a lot of car content on YT can be bogged down in politics and other BS, but it is clear this channel is just about the passion, and that's what really matters Boiz!

I think you ought to dive back into what got you here and that was building new things and showcasing them like the 2J Z build you guys are doing.... The Tesla videos take a sharp decline because once people see it, they lose their interest over the long term because most of us can't relate to them. We build, drive, race, or have gas or diesel vehicle intrests...just my take...🏁
Plaid brought new viewers because it's new/interesting. Who doesn't want to see a car they'll never be able to afford or drive get cut into pieces? It's about novelty, that's why the views went up. At some point we have to decide if we're going to keep chasing novelty to keep our hamster wheel spinning or just accept who we are and do what we love. You've achieved both...Cyber Kart was novel but also a result of your creativity and passion. What you don't want to do is sell out, in other words don't keep chasing views and growth if it begins to turn you into someone you don't like who does things he doesn't want to do. 14:03 The best camera is the one you have. I'll be honest, I only come for the Tesla stuff. I also watch most of what Cleetus puts out, although sometimes he can be a bit OTT. I'd say concentrate on the quality of the content, not what you record it on, since it's the quality that will drive up the views. I notice there are those commenting on audio quality; this I find strange since I listen through a pro/semi-pro headphone setup, and sound quality is perfectly acceptable.

You gotta angle the wing more especially for spectator drags and maybe a huge front splitter for even more downforce. You can 100% win it all with the right set up
I’m a big Tesla fan. So I’m here for the plaid you were working on. I want a two door convertible based on a model 3 performance so bad. I’d watch the heck out of that conversion.
I would recommend some 200tw tires and make them wide if you are going Road Racing. Those front tires are the most important tire in that case both for cornering and braking. the width is going to help with longevity there as well as handle the weight and heat going into them. i know a lot of people are using the Rt660 A052 or RE71 tire
12:27 that wing needs a diagonal brace, it's gonna shimmy/flutter/wiggle with only the two angled braces that are on the same and only attach axis. A diagonal strut that attaches forward or aft of the wing's center z-axis would add even more rigidity. TL;DR The wing needs more triangles. correctly sized/placed braces and gussets won't add much weight.

Having a full time cameraman would be great for the channel. You two could just focus on working on the cars & have uploads out more frequently. LegitStreetCars is a great example of it, consistently uploading long detailed videos with professional camera work.
if you put the aluminum panels back on you should put dimples in them like a golf ball. the dimples will reduce resistance that's what help the golf balls to fly as far as they do.

One thing I notice in drag racing, if you look around at all the really fast guys/ and girls they have the car down to the ground as low as they can get with tons of rear wheel tuck. Removing the windshield would probably have as much aero advantage as adding the body, without the extra weight. It's all about avoiding the low pressure re-circulation zone behind the windshield and dash. Closing up the doors up to dash height and mudguard on the back wheels would help as well. Removing the whole body but keeping the windshield is like adding a 1 meter spoiler to the roof of the car. Except that the windshield only creates drag.
I'm kind of surprised you haven't went to some high quality pro level or pro-sumer camera set ups. I definitely would appreciate higher res like 1440p, as well. All good, keep the variety going. I'm hoping to see the air boat, more jet boat, and that drag n drive civic.
@14:00 audio quality is key. Get some audio gurus to give you a hand because thats the one thing i think some of the videos that didnt do well maybe lacking. Also if you go to a new dslr get something like a sony and a few diff e mount lenses. I have been rocking an a5100 for years but just tested an a6500 and was pretty blown away so im def about to upgrade to something pretty nice I hope. I just have to sell my gopro first since i dont use it any at all and i have a bunch of extras gear with it. Its a go pro hero 11 black if you are lookin to pickup another go pro and some mounts and accesories for filming its even got the mic mod housing kit with it too. all original packaging too.

I can imagine it gets hard to post often/think of quality content for each post but I feel like I can speak for the OG's at least when I say that we will watch and enjoy everything. And over time new viewers will become OG's and the cycle continues. Jimmy Oakes for example ground me down into submission with his daily uploads lolll
You are doing everything just right; it's been a blast following this crazy Tesla Cyber Cart. I think you will eventually take the front body shell off again to save weight. It looks good with the stock front end but if you want faster, you'll end up removing it. If you do, do that I suggest replacing it with aluminum sheet shaped to look like the Cybertruck. Guaranteed an increase is viewers and subscriptions if you keep on scratching everyone's itch for unique electric race cars.
Camera quality is fine. Content is great for us that came from the hatch days. Eroy is new. So of course it’s bringing the views. You’ll have to keep branching out wit new vehicle types. But we’re here for the clapped out champions 💪🏽💪🏽

I'm one of your new E-Roy subscribers. I wouldn't worry about the camera or audio, they seem fine to me. As one other commenter already mentioned, do what you love and and the views will follow. That said, I personally enjoy watching you guys problem solve/troubleshoot challenges, come up with out-of-the-box solutions, test those solutions and find new ways to make these cars amazing. That's why doing what you love works, because you will put the time and energy behind finding ways to achieve your goals. And that's engaging content. Thanks for the content.
I honestly don't think the channel needs any improvements at all a new camera would be cool but definitely not necessary. You all always have amazing content and no matter what direction you guys go the real fans will be here for it!
Clip on microphones would really help, like the Aussie Rode WirelessGo. Their levels are all over the place. Iphone image qual is fine

As someone who works in film/television production and deals with high end cameras and cinema rigs every day, I don't think the camera that you use will be the determining factor for retention and how people interact and react to your video. I feel like the biggest reason that the E-Roy videos have done so well is due to how clear it is that the project is exciting to everyone. Even Wyatt seems to be hooked on the project, and hes a dude who is a genius when it comes to diesel trucks; a far cry from an EV. But i feel like this is why the videos did so well: everyone was out of their element and super super stoked to learn something new and figure it out. The essence of the project is what became the most intoxicating part of the whole build. I can't wait to see where this goes and what other records E-Roy breaks in the coming months. Godspeed boosted brothers, I hope you take the car to the moon.
Also crazy what you can get out of an iPhone these days, for better or worse. If anything they should look into getting an outside editior like most channels. I just started taking freelance work, and there are a ton of channels out there looking for editors to make more time for content production.

Very well said, I can't agree more, its the content people are interested in, cameras are simply tools of the trade. The iPhone is great as its always available, carrying a DSLR or pro rig around just isn't convenient or practical, with the exception of doing a special or something like it, on the other hand, the Insta360 Pro II is interesting not for its ability to capture 360 footage but more for its ability for you to chose angles in the edit..
@@EDDSkitz I mean the new iPhone 15 pro has support for 3D video capture, ProRes recording, and is now equipped with ACES color profiles. It’s legitimately more of a cinema camera than a lot of mirrorless cameras now.
Video quality isn’t a problem, it’s great! It’s the consistency of which you upload. You’re all over the place with it. Some weeks there is no video and not even a community update post.
Try grafting a sleeper chassis onto the eRoy frame. I think the wheel base is ~116in, so an eRanger (long bed), eCrownVic, eCamino, or an eOdyssey might be a few options. No one suspects a minivan to go into cheetah stance at a red light, lol.

like they do with the resto mods.... i like that idea. a 90's accord or a 80s Datsun truck with arches might fit with some alterations. there is also the option of actually building the cyber truck or a plad pickup in the style of the holden ute's any big build like that would be cool but i do like the idea of a resto mod style but it might lose views as its not the plastic fantastic style of the tesla.

I know your job is to make sure videos have views, but I wouldn't stress too much about the algorithm. Always do what you want and have fun, that always translates to good videos. I think growing naturally is the way to go. You are easily likable, that's what really matters. I will always watch all of your videos no matter the content. I think the Tesla content was cool and you added a bunch of new fans from it. edit: your videos look/sound fine, nothing wrong with the phone video. Nice cameras/lenses are mostly just a pain, another thing to worry about being charged/settings correct etc.
Honestly this whole channel has been a very genuine and real vlog where you show alot of the problems and honest view of your builds and what you are doing. I think TH-cam goes for a more corporate approach where you are expected to show only the highlights and exciting moments. I've always appreciated the intimate and real approach you take you each video. however I can say its very excited seeing you come out with a video packed with action like cutting apart a Plaid. Stay true to what you enjoy because above all the viewers/subs are sticking around because you are doing what you love and what makes you excited and happy. I'm looking forward to future content but please don't get lost in the camera quality or editing or anything superficial because what has made you so popular is you genuineness. I would agree with your assessment. I think a lot of people are watching him for what he does and how he shows all of the mistakes and the fixes. Wyatt is a fantastic addition to the channel and he is one sharp MFR!
You guys gotta take the tezzie to high elevation tracks and see if the time improves because of the lower air resistance. Also definitely think about making the windshield removable and make something like Mercedes-Benz W125 Rekordwagen

I've been around since the og street racing video in the hatch, and yall have been one of the only channels to stay in my roster all these years, I saw one comment about lapel mics and think it's a great idea, and another saying they prefer the iPhone shoots, and I agree. I think it keeps yall super relatable to your audience and that's the best part!
The air at MIR is always good. And the track prep is pretty on point.
If I had to make a suggestion it would be higher quality audio. For example in the 05:00 area is MUCH quieter and more difficult to hear than later in the video. This can be addressed either with better recording equipment (microphones) or in post editing by normalizing the audio track.
Normalizing is something a lot of channels haven't figured out yet. When you're trying to keep the volume down for others in the house. One minute, it's BLASTING your eardrums out of you're skull. Way too loud. Then, for the next minute, the equipment tries to protect itself. And drops the sensitivity level down. Then you can't hear a thing. Another BIG bad is not having a good wind protector on your device! Nothing is worse than hearing the wind blowing across the mic! which causes the device to cut down the sound input level again.
Bring back the Honda prelude lost count of the days lol 😂
As someone who really hasn't watched your channel before Eroy, the camera quality and talking to the camera doesn't bother me at all. What drew me in and hooked me was the content. I watched a ton of drag car content from Cleetus and started to get a bit bored of it. I'm not even really a fan of EV's but this caught my attention because the concept was interesting. I hadn't really seen a Tesla go kart. Watching you guys try to get the record and the creative ways you had to come up with to go faster was really different and interesting. It wasn't just another video of "let's throw a $20k engine in and go faster". That also makes it a lot more relatable. It's buying a wrecked car, just pulling panels off and trying to see how fast it goes. It feels like something any of us could do. That's what hooked me on the Ruby series from Cleetus. The idea of buying a cheap auction corvette, fixing all the issues with it and making it go fast on a "budget" feels alot more down to earth to the normal folks. Once he gets into putting in crazy engines and transmissions, I start to lose interest. Doesn't have to be EV content, but those weird off the wall concepts are interesting to me.

Even shorter videos are Great sometimes. Little shop updates and build project details that can be covered in a video over 10 and less than 15 mins.
Rear inner sidewall wear on the rear is unfortunately common for the Plaid. I had a tire fail in the exact same way. The "fix" I did was adding adjustable rear camber arms to reduce the camber in the low suspension setting. Not that you are worried about tire life but might be nice to have anyway as you move forward with this build.

The camera has never really been a problem, if you're looking to improve views and retention, just keep uploading, TBH you used to upload videos a lot more frequently. IMO people don't care that much about video quality as long as they feel apart of the action. I won't lie I skip thru you guys talking about the cars majority of the time because if I wanted to see people talk about their cars I'd watch Cooper's podcast. Which is great, just everything has a time and a place. I think that you got the most views and retention when you were excited about getting the mr2 to the top.... MOONTUNE BABY!!! LOL! But that's what I mean, people get excited for the journey, there isn't much of a journey any more. I still love this channel and watch every video but if what you referred to in the video is a concern, you heard it here from a concerned viewer.
Yeah the cameras are fine. Small investment in Mics wouldnt hurt sometimes (Rode Wireless Go kit?) but the only reason to change cam would be for their workflow, iphones have great cams
Nah, bro. A nice camera is honestly a no brainer purchase if you're entire career revolves around the thing, lol. It's like buying nice work boots if you're a construction worker or nice scissors if you're a barber, etc. Just do it. They're gonna make you thousands of dollars and you'll be using them all day every day.

Multi camera angles can add a lot to a car channel. GoPro + DSLR + a little iPhone footage seems like a solid combo. Helmet cams etc. More crazy Japanese car vids too!
Dslr is for pictures. Filming with them makes the whole mechanism pointless, lol.
I'm one of those viewers who just comes for the Tesla Cart. I'd say what would help me watch other content is to integrate the cart in with your other builds. So a video like, "We're Building a Car that Smokes the Tesla Kart" then the content would have them compete with a little bit of background of the builds and what makes them unique.
Most of their cars already will smoke the Tesla cart. Lol

The camera quality never was an issue, I'm here for the awesome builds. For me, this channel represents what a few kids in a garage can do.
I think what your doing is great as it is. Im waiting to see the NSX build and more stuff with all the car's. Plus doing a build for Witt would be awsome to see. He's a huge team player and I'd love to see you and him do more friendly competitions with similar builds would be sick. Keep up the grreta work either way.

I started watching you years ago when you were taking regular cars and doing your best to compete with your low cost garage mods. I'd say, if you could do more stuff that's relatable to people that don't have a ton of money for Quafe Sequentials and billet block motors. I love seeing that stuff too, but I love projects that are done on a budget because I get this notion that it's possible for me if I really wanted to try. Also, I think if you film more antics and events with your current fleet would go a long way towards boosting your numbers. We don't get to see the projects that we followed for years doing cool stuff often enough. Maybe get into circuit racing or drift events. Mix it up. Love the channel and i'll watch it whatever you guys do.
Cleetus said in one of his videos a while ago something about nobody surprises him with cool stuff, you guys could build him something. Also personally I'd love to see you guys do something cool for Brent, he's always so so happy when you're around.

As for the videos, I do think the heavier mix of multi-camera track action sprinkled in with the pit/shop phone camera content works great and is what makes the E-Roy videos hit but it's hard to rival the non-stop excitement those track days had but E-roy sucked me in and now I can't stop watching y'all myself!
There is always room for improvement on the production level on any TH-cam channel, but I would consider your channel to be very good already. In my opinion (and everyone has one, so take it for what it is), the reason you get so many views on the Tesla is because right now, that is the number one selling American vehicle (as sad as that makes me), and when you post videos about having the fastest one in the world, you are going to get a lot of eyeballs on it.
The quality of your content is very consistent, and I don't think that changing cameras is the key to more views, it is just as simple as the content. I think all car channels have this issue, not just yours, and when you put up content on more popular cars, more people will see the videos. I love watching all your videos, and I am a Honda guy (which is how I found you), but I will watch you guys no matter what the content is, because I am a car guy at heart, and you all are fun to watch. I imagine that the Tesla viewers you draw in are more likely to only be interested in Tesla content only or possibly electric car content, where as your long time Honda viewers will watch anything you do.

I came for the Tesla stuff because I am interested in what "Car Guys" are doing with the new electric stuff as I like the possibilities, but I subbed because I liked the personality and the other projects they are doing too. Also, a lot of car content on YT can be bogged down in politics and other BS, but it is clear this channel is just about the passion, and that's what really matters Boiz!

I think the E-Roy videos did well because it's a new and interesting technology. Keeping people engaged is harder. I think you ought to dive back into what got you here and that was building new things and showcasing them like the 2J Z build you guys are doing.... The Tesla videos take a sharp decline because once people see it, they lose their interest over the long term because most of us can't relate to them. We build, drive, race, or have gas or diesel vehicle intrests...just my take...🏁
Plaid brought new viewers because it's new/interesting. Who doesn't want to see a car they'll never be able to afford or drive get cut into pieces? It's about novelty, that's why the views went up. At some point we have to decide if we're going to keep chasing novelty to keep our hamster wheel spinning or just accept who we are and do what we love. You've achieved both...Cyber Kart was novel but also a result of your creativity and passion. What you don't want to do is sell out, in other words don't keep chasing views and growth if it begins to turn you into someone you don't like who does things he doesn't want to do. Great job Kyle and Wyatt, you guys are amazing. Remember Tesla is a bandwagon, a crowd gathered because a crowd always gathers when there's something exciting. 14:03 The best camera is the one you have. I'll be honest, I only come for the Tesla stuff. I also watch most of what Cleetus puts out, although sometimes he can be a bit OTT. I'd say concentrate on the quality of the content, not what you record it on, since it's the quality that will drive up the views. I notice there are those commenting on audio quality; this I find strange since I listen through a pro/semi-pro headphone setup, and sound quality is perfectly acceptable.

Throw the front skid plate back on. Underside aero is pretty important. This will also protect important components under there.
You gotta angle the wing more especially for spectator drags and maybe a huge front splitter for even more downforce. You can 100% win it all with the right set up

Waht are you doing about all the holes you drilled in the cage of E Roy? Gotta make that cage a little extra sketchy for sure.
I would recommend some 200tw tires and make them wide if you are going Road Racing. Those front tires are the most important tire in that case both for cornering and braking. the width is going to help with longevity there as well as handle the weight and heat going into them. i know a lot of people are using the Rt660 A052 or RE71 tire
12:27 that wing needs a diagonal brace, it's gonna shimmy/flutter/wiggle with only the two angled braces that are on the same and only attach axis. A diagonal strut that attaches forward or aft of the wing's center z-axis would add even more rigidity.
TL;DR The wing needs more triangles. correctly sized/placed braces and gussets won't add much weight.

Having a full time cameraman would be great for the channel. You two could just focus on working on the cars & have uploads out more frequently. LegitStreetCars is a great example of it, consistently uploading long detailed videos with professional camera work.

if you put the aluminum panels back on you should put dimples in them like a golf ball. the dimples will reduce resistance that's what help the golf balls to fly as far as they do.

I enjoy watching you guys. Been watching since Colorado, before y’all moved to Fl. And never been a Honda guy till I started following y’all.
Removing the windshield would probably have as much aero advantage as adding the body, without the extra weight. It's all about avoiding the low pressure re-circulation zone behind the windshield and dash. Closing up the doors up to dash height and mudguard on the back wheels would help as well. Removing the whole body but keeping the windshield is like adding a 1 meter spoiler to the roof of the car. Except that the windshield only creates drag.
I'm kind of surprised you haven't went to some high quality pro level or pro-sumer camera set ups.
I definitely would appreciate higher res like 1440p, as well.

@14:00 audio quality is key. Get some audio gurus to give you a hand because thats the one thing i think some of the videos that didnt do well maybe lacking. Also if you go to a new dslr get something like a sony and a few diff e mount lenses. I have been rocking an a5100 for years but just tested an a6500 and was pretty blown away so im def about to upgrade to something pretty nice I hope. I just have to sell my gopro first since i dont use it any at all and i have a bunch of extras gear with it. Its a go pro hero 11 black if you are lookin to pickup another go pro and some mounts and accesories for filming its even got the mic mod housing kit with it too. all original packaging too.

I think you will eventually take the front body shell off again to save weight. It looks good with the stock front end but if you want faster, you'll end up removing it.

Being completely honest, I'm here for the Tesla content. Nothing wrong with your other content, but the E-Roy content peaked my interested. Great work on the record. BTW. I'm so happy your channel has grown so much since E-Roy. But don't take it personally that the E-Roy content has more views. I think there are others like me. You're doing nothing wrong, just Tesla has a built in interest base that will grow video's on E-Roy. Congrats again.
