I would be of the Brown Ajah. A lot of knowledge has been lost during the Breaking of the World. It is a Brown's job to rediscover those lost knowledge.
Yet they don't find anything important. In the books, one of the Browns is obsessed with the life cycle of silk worms. In the show, they're writing history books.
White Ajah also deals with logic. They are actually reasoners, and whatever a Whie sister do is purely based on logic. She do it because that is the only logical way to do it. They would most of time debate and reason to find the best logical course of action to do in a particular situation.
White = Philosophy, Searching for the Greater Truth (Seekers), more spiritual ("priests") , think of the Vulcans from Star Trek / Brown = Librarians, thinkers, scientists, believers in acquiring and preserving knowledge. There is an overlap but their approaches are very divergent. A White would ponder the question "Where does the One Power come from?" and a Brown with the same question would research everything on it to answer the same question.
I would also say that Whites are like physicists, statisticians, and mathematicians, seeking and theorizing how their world works through cold hard logic (aka physics and numbers, the "Source Code" of the universe).
The yellow and green Aja is definitely my favorites! I love how the yellow Aja heals people and how the green Aja lets you have freedom to explore whatever is your choosing! Those two sound so much fun to wield.
In the first half of the book serie the Red Ajah is despised by most readers because only negative characters are shown, fortunately in the last books there are much more positive Red characters, such as Silviana, Pevara, Teslyn or Tarna. Their purpose is to defend the world from the wrong and dangerous use of the One Power, not only by male channelers who sooner or later go mad, but also by all those female channelers acting dangerously outside the control of the White Tower, and there are many. The Reds are very useful and could be considered the policewomen among the channelers (in particular they specialize in dueling and win against seemingly stronger opponents, like male channelers)
The Green Ajah reminded Liandrin too for her primary purpose as a Red Ajah to redirect their sisters to the right paths of the One Power not by bending it. That scene when Liandrin wants to gentle the false Dragon inside the cave without further judgement from the White Tower. ❤️ Red Ajahs are definitely the Police witches, sadly Liandrin lost her own path
Do not read the books and just keep on enjoying the show. I know everyone says "the books are better". Most of the time its book fans who get upset tv shows do not cover every single detail. In this case the tv show completely butchers the books so badly that you will start to understand how much of a chop shop they did to the series. If you like the tv show as it is then you should just keep on enjoying it without knowing any better. A lot of times ignorance truly is bliss.
It's not just because details are not followed, just complete bastardization of certain aspects. Especially when they started focusing on the women and not on the actual heroes of the book, Rand, Mat and Perrin.
Never read the books however, I thought yellows could only heal, but after seeing the newest episode of season 2, boy was I wrong! Yellow is def my top favorite.
Some focused on stopping the mad male channelers, some tried to diplomatically restore order, or stop unjust by force, some were out eliminating the remaining darkspawn, some wanted to preserve knowledge and technology from a golden age, some wanted to heal the suffering that were so much more after the breaking. Lastly, some were possibly escapists, they just wanted to theorize what went wrong
Brown sisters study the past so that any knowledge gained from them can be used for a better future. White sisters on the other hand deal with cold hard facts. They may deal or dabble in history yes, but only so far as to prove a definite point/theory in their eyes. They serve by being best in logistics, calculations, and applying the truth they often seek in current events. In the books, white sisters are noted at excelling in subjects such as mathematics, which we all know can be applied in our daily lives. So you can say white sisters excell at arriving at a solution to any problems with the most efficiency. They might sacrifice timeliness though with all the debates. On matters of importance, i believe that reds and yellows are at the top. But it is best to note that there is a running joke among book readers that Aes Sedai in the books are very ineffectual. I mean, you have the greens who they say live to fight the last battle, yet very few are actually posted on the borderlands where they could train better for the last battle. Most are in the white tower, playing politics. Then you have the yellows. Some yellows in the books care more for politics than, let's say, maybe establishing clinics in kingdoms that welcome aes sedai and offer their services. Only the reds really, which some book readers love to hate on, are actually doing what they are supposed to be doing. (You can also say that for the blues maybe?) i guess what im trying to say is, when you read through the series, you come to realize how flawed these women really are, despite the power and prestige they have.
Well, the books make a point to show that the White Tower is in decline at the beginning of the story, with fewer Aes Sedai and less influence than ever. They also seem to be stuck to certain old ways and incapable to adapting to a new world, while the female main characters represent the new blood in the White Tower and change, and that’s one of the reasons why Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne have trouble fitting in at the White Tower in the beginning.
I would be probably the green ajah just because I see a lot of potential in battle for the only power, in fact I believe it's the most common use of it in the series. It's like a gun, it has responsability and power in its use and that doesn't mean you are going to use it in a inappropiate way.
No she wasn't. She intended to join the Green Ajah but never had a chance, since they raised to become the Amyrlin Seat while she was still just an Accepted and did not have access to the Terangreal to test to become a full Aes Sedai the traditional way. Unless I'm a bit fuzzy on exactly when the ages change and you mean the Amyrlin who is also the first in the 4th age.
I love them all, and yes even the black Ajah..😂...every character that has to deal with their shadow...we are all a work in progress at sometime in our lives..🤫😉👿😈
If you haven't taken the time to read the books, then you actually know very little..this TV series is has deviated big time from the books and is (IMHO) a very poor interpretation of the the written words contained in the books. To be fair, to condense 15 books with anywhere from 500-900 pages into a TV series would be incredibly hard.
One of those is really more of a dark frenemy, who joined the Dark One fully intending to betray him, and another regrets his choice and turns back to the light.
Which Ajah would you choose? Which one is better? Let me know in the comments below.
Brown. Screw everything I'm going to space!
A very easy summary:
Red: Police / Enforcers
Grey: Politicians / Advocate / Decision makers
Green: Military / Heavy Artillery
Brown: Scientists / Knowledge collectors
Yellow: Healers / Doctors
White: Philosophers / Information Analysts / Advisors
Blue: Secret Service / World Information Collectors
Black: Betrayers / Revolutionary
Awesome explanation 🎉 thank you
Thankyou so much
I would be of the Brown Ajah. A lot of knowledge has been lost during the Breaking of the World. It is a Brown's job to rediscover those lost knowledge.
They're really important!
Yet they don't find anything important. In the books, one of the Browns is obsessed with the life cycle of silk worms. In the show, they're writing history books.
@Nepthu In the books own Brown sister made one of the most important discovery's for White Tower. I won't spoil it!
White Ajah also deals with logic. They are actually reasoners, and whatever a Whie sister do is purely based on logic. She do it because that is the only logical way to do it. They would most of time debate and reason to find the best logical course of action to do in a particular situation.

Now I see, thank you!
I would also say that Whites are like physicists, statisticians, and mathematicians, seeking and theorizing how their world works through cold hard logic (aka physics and numbers, the "Source Code" of the universe).

I'm soo glad to hear that, I definitely want to see more Red on screen! Thanks for the insight btw ✨

Well said!
OMG totally pevara and androl are my fav couple
yellow, blue and green are my top 3 ajahs for sure!
I think yellow is the coolest Ajah, but I would probably pick to be in blue

Yessss! Ryma's powers were astonishing...
All Ajah's can do pretty much whatever is needed, the color only shows where your primary focus is.
You might say, that for a yellow to know how to mend a bone, she needs to also know how to break it.
I was so intrigued when she bent that lady into a pretzel!😮😂 I was like Yeah!!!😂
@@yvettemiller8101 hahahah yes, it was amazing! I wish Ryma and her Warder could survive tho :(
Black Ajah is actually the Aes Sedai who decided to follow the dark one, it's an unofficial ajah
The blue Aja is the best!
The origins of how Ajahs form have to do with how Aes Sedai rebuilt order in a broken world 3000 yrs ago.
Some focused on stopping the mad male channelers, some tried to diplomatically restore order, or stop unjust by force, some were out eliminating the remaining darkspawn, some wanted to preserve knowledge and technology from a golden age, some wanted to heal the suffering that were so much more after the breaking. Your comment explains a lot, thank you!

The greatest and LAST Amyrlin Seat of the 3rd age was a Green sister (no spoilers) so I could only ever be a Green 💚
I love Green, but mostly because of Alanna and her Warders lol :p
@@1fame Mostly her warders i bet. :)
No she wasn't. She intended to join the Green Ajah but never had a chance, since they raised to become the Amyrlin Seat while she was still just an Accepted and did not have access to the Terangreal to test to become a full Aes Sedai the traditional way.

And i thought she had no ajah as she was never a aes sedai, she felt she would be green but wasn't

I'm truly amazed by your inclusivity hahahh 😂🤭
Only one black was good ( was a spy ) most were evil or power hungry
I would love to be a blue!!
As a librarian, It would be supposed to choose a brown Ajah, but I like the blue one.
I would be a Blue, Yellow, and Brown the more the better, lol.
I would choose white or yellow.
Brown Ajah..they are knowledgeable..quiet and unsuspecting
Blue Ajah
3:31 there wouldn't be fat aes sedais... They were required to have discipline. Tower life was harsh.
No one wants Gray Ajah?
Or did the series not include it?
Missed opportunity for Mr. Jordan to have purple and pink ajah ✨✨
I'd be blue
Read the books guys
I wannabe a Pink Ajah🌸
this barbie can channel! 💅✨
Omg, blurring the pictures and faces in this is absolutely ridiculous. Super annoying and takes away from this informative video!!
Agreed. I actually turned the video off because of it. That and the annoying way she pronounced and emphasized the word ajha. Just couldn't do it.
ahJHAA!!!! I couldn't get very far cause that was driving me crazy.
Me simping over the Brown Ajah😂😂😂😂
green
This is an AI generated channel 😅😅

If you want an even better explanation then read the books. Honestly
I definitely will, but I'm waiting for this show to end so that I could enjoy it more
Verin, sheriam and ingtar are a dark friends.

Old looking ais sedai what a horror
