I honestly feel like they are going to figure out how to break the chains. I'm paying attention to all the "rules" and things they are figuring out. They had to have already told us what the key was. Especially if they are similar to the Arches. With the arches they thought Nyeve wouldn't come back. But she did. Especially with the whole, you only get one chance to come back. Actually she got two. So these chains must be Egwine Arches test. Or Nye and the princess is going to break it for her. (I know I'm probably spelling their names wrong but I can't remember)
I am veeeery curious if the way Egwene gets out of the a'dam is to be shielded from the One Power -- Nynaeve said the a'dam can only be healed by joining with a woman who can channel. What if Egwene temporarily can't channel? I haven't read the books beyond book 1 so this is complete conjecture! Can't wait to see what happens.
@@mohmohlante5809 I had to come back to your comment. I was thinking about something. The lady kept saying anything you think to use as a weapon you cannot. So could Egwene think about hurting her slaver with the one power, then be temporarily unavailable to channel. Making her be able to remove the collar like you said? Or would she literally have to be shielded from the power? I'm only thinking of this bc Nyneve also has blocks with her power bc of her fear of it and other things, and she had a point where she could not channel well unless necessary.
Moiraine is so misunderstood 😅. Try dedicating 20 years of your life to a secret mission to then have your life force taken from you, generating a distancing with your partner in crime, and then be sleep-deprived to avoid getting killed. There’s not a good enough sandwich in all of history for that 😅
This episode was all about Egwene... She just nailed it, almost cried seeing her in pain. I hope after this torture she rise up with more control on her powers with confidence.
Don’t know if anyone else noticed also but Nynaeve gave Ryma the full honorific. She said Ryma-Sedai. She hasn’t said the full honorific to anyone unless someone was correcting her first.
BRILLIANT as always. I especially loved your breakdown of Ryma Sedai’s storyline! If that’s what it took to break Nynaeve’s block (at least a little bit), it was a GREAT way to explain it in a way Nynaeve would understand.
Reminds me of how Liandrin told her there's OTHER ways to channel, you don't necessarily HAVE to picture a blossoming rosebud or the banks of a river or whatever
While you’re right that Siuan’s travels to Cairhien wouldn’t have taken weeks, I assumed the Lan/Siuan scene occurred some time before the events in Cairhien-that what they showed on screen did not imply concomitant events and were only shown to us that way for dramatic effect. The juxtaposition of Moiraine seeing a Siuan letter with seal broken and then us seeing Siuan sealing a letter suggested this to me. I figured the timeline didn’t sync until Lan confronted Rand at the end.
Everybody hatin' on this series, but I love this story's finally getting the brutal condensing it always needed. It's what Jordan should've done instead of subjecting me to whole books full of wizard girls bickering and doggy dream sequences. The whole thing should've been frickin' 6 books. All praise the Great Abridging!
Loved this episode almost as much as Ep5. My favorite part was the Ryma/Nynaeve interaction and how Ryma finally showed Nynaeve an Aes Sedai she could wholeheartedly respect and also relate to, not only on account of healing but also Ryma’s selfless determination to protect others. You are right about the dialogue between Rand and Logan. I thought the male half of the one power wasn’t being described and on the first watching misunderstood Logan as to suggest that Rand surrender to it. A rewatching helped but I agree that the organization of the lines could’ve been better. Egwene/Renna wow. So well done. Thank you for these awesome unraveling videos! They are the best synopses!
At 21:44, Ryma Aes Sedai and her warder! The choreography in this scene was beautiful... but the portrayal of said choreography, my my! The actors did a fantastic job in their portrayals. The scene where they begin the dance and lock eyes, says so much! The complicity, synchronization, trust and determination of each move. I get chills every time I re-watch it, it was done so well! What a great show!
This episode is basically my favorite part of book 2. Glad they didn't resolve some of the main issues but hope they don't wait until the last episode of the season to do so. Also agree, Ryma was amazing and that small spot in the show makes me want more.
I hope we get to see more of her! I’ve never read the books but her character drew me in. After I finish this season I’m going to go back and watch it from the beginning of season 1.
Been waiting for this one! I know Amazon can see the analytics. With S2 they have really stepped it up and they have their "Flagship" IP! Divert those wasted Billions from the fanfiction LOTR into WOT. Speed up the production to annual seasons and do 12 Episodes or more. Lord knows there's enough source material.
@@M4570DON surely with diverting those wasted millions on the LOTRs spam fiction nonsense, there’s money enough for both. Poor Tolkien, what an insult the Rings of Power is. It’s beyond awful...
Can’t say I disagree, and if LOTR:ROP only gets one more season and is cancelled ahead of the contract, I wouldn’t bat an eyelash… but I bet the ROP contract is as binding on Amazon as the 3 oaths so I doubt that will happen. ALSO: I don’t hear many people talk about it but at least twice (Yassica & Elayne) say that Liandrin broke the 3 oaths. Unless that’s a singular way of saying it (which seems really roundabout and weird) it’s incorrect. Liandrin didn’t make a weapon with which one man may kill another.
@@RobChristiansonI think they mean 'the three oaths' as a unit, not each path separately. So 'breaking the three oaths' means breaking at least one, not all three.
I definitely think that the ring in all of the forsake his hands it’s some kind of personalized angreal. In the books, the Dragon could summon , the nine rods of dominion, maybe that’s the reference here. Makes sense that powerful channelers would have some control over the distribution of the objects that enhances their power even more . I think until a certain fat little man shows up, they are toying with us cause they have some of their rings of power…
Top quality as usual! I know that Marcus Rutherford watches your channel too, because he liked my FB post when I commented that I was waiting for your video analysis
Good One!! A person like me has never read the book got really confused all the time watching the series. After watching your video I kind of getting the storylines a bit
Great video. It was in earlier episodes but did you see the mantle in Moraines room? The lower portion had some horses, a bowing stag, a golden woman (or woman in a yellow dress) a ship and on the upper part of the mantle there is a man with a sword lunging. Effectively in the sky above the other figures/models. Just fun foreshadowing I think though the stag doesn't seem to relate to anything I can think of. I think a stag is the sigil of a Kandori lord but I'm not sure. It's a chapter symobl in new spring is all I could find. The yellow lady could be Rhyma, the horses representing whitecloaks and seanchan, the ship is the captain that Rhyma mention (Bayle likely) and the man with the sword on the upper mantle represents Rand. I'm probably reaching but I just love little easter eggs like this hinting at things to come. 🤞there is more in that curiosities room than just the horn and some cuendillar :)
My two cents is that Alanna &co didn't really believe Lan might be a darkfriend - they were bluffing, using the credible "proof" they had discovered, and hoping that it would pressure Lan into revealing the truth. Someone on Wheel Takes discord even took it a step further and suggested that maybe Lan wasn't just forced to make that revelation. Maybe it was more that he saw how devoted they were to opposing the Shadow, and decided he could trust them. Indeed, maybe that was actually Lan's plan along: be obvious about the poem to make them suspicious enough to read it, and see what they do; if they demonstrate their opposition to the Shadow, then recruit them into his plan to stage an intervention for Moiraine. If not, well... ? Just dissemble maybe?
As I said last time, Egwene's torture scene was absolutely unbearable. Very hard to watch but necessary. However, I must say that watching a Yellow Ais Sedai fight was a real treat. I'm really glad there giving different aes sedai different weaves and powers as showing why they are a threat. Also, Lanfear and Ishmaeel potrayals are very good. Cant wait to see what happens!
I was surprised in S2E1 to see a Brown Ajah successfully defend Moiraine and Lan using weaves. I would not have expected someone from the bookish order to be so effective without delay. I wonder whether they train in all kinds of weaves and that "muscle memory" just kicks in when they need it, or maybe they practise them all throughout their lives.
@@pete4096 Yeah, from what I can tell(in the show that is) Red Aesdai are shown to more versed in the elements. Regular Aes Sedai probably just have the basics but in the book some did channel in grester efficiency than others
@@nyquitacharles9146 Youre right! I might be wrong here, but now that I'm rereading Egwene being tortured might become a recurring theme. But it does lessen a bit 😅
@@zyonhenderson67 I'm rooting for her lol but I also agree with them showing the strength of the other Aes sedi that's not just small basic things. It shows that every color is necessary and uses their skill for what is needed, similar to a person specializing in their field.
Great episode as always Lauren. I still see Renna becoming Egeanin, particularly if she collars her and figures out about a Suldams abilities. A very powerful episode and I loved how the team designed Lanfears "throne" with quarter moon steps. I am reaching but maybe she isn't the full Daughter yet :)
Another great unraveling video! Even as a book fan I love watching these for all the Easter eggs and nuances and speculations I missed in the show. Thank you!
Thank you for the videos. I like the way you tell them. You help the series, with the explanations and you spoiler free “hints”. You lead the way, without giving too much away, and you are not afraid to be “wrong” or “mislead” us (if it helps the show/story. Plus you make me see things that I didn’t know from previous episodes. (And that you talk about the character’s strength, weakness and opportunity’s. You are a gift to this show. Plz keep doing it this way. 😊
The big Falme episode is the finale(What was meant to be). the Cairhein wrapup is next one(Daes'damar). We get Bain and Chiad next episode along with Seta. So they are probably gonna show the fate of the more complying damane. We are also probably going to see Perrin meet Bain and Chiad and get some development into Aiel culture. Hope they really nail the finale since those are what people really love about the book series.
Someone also pointed out that when she turns to the door of her carriage, they follow her line of sight with a motion like a school of fish! #RiverGirl ❤
What a great episode , so unbelievable how well the show runners have brought all characters to where they should be for season 3 after issues of season 1 while giving us a very wheel of time feeling season 2 ❤ amazing , absolutely adore the show ❤ can’t wait to see next 2 episodes
I'm guessing the makeup department didn't think the full tattoo needed to be applied in the shot. Now that Moiraine, Siuan and Rand are all together what if Rand sees the weaves and informs Siuan so she knows to even try to unknot them?
As great as the big things were, it's the little things I keep revisiting. "The Dragon Reborn *suggestive hand gesture*". Ryma's wink. The tree. Incredible episode. Vengeance will be sweet.
Suin and Morraine are my favorite characters. Suin is just stunning. The costume designer absolutely crushed her outfits. She draws the eye off of even the most vibrant of aes sedai. Even though Morraine is stunning, noble and elegant in her own way, and we see her more often, Suin steals the show every time she graces the screen. I'm so hooked and can't wait for the next episode. I figured out it actually comes at thursday at 8pm in my timezone! It's like I get it a whole day ahead. =P
How did you find out the timezone thing? Is it released at the same moment everywhere? Because I was thinking about waiting up, but did not want to loose sleep in vain

10:08 Lanfear telling rand "No one and nothing ever gives you what you want. you must take it", is similar to how Logain nudges Rand to grab the one power whilst teaching Him. Lanfear knows his power and perhaps him grabbing the One Power would drive him mad in truth and in some way fulfill the dark one's plans idk (not a book reader).
I wonder if the show is playing on the trope of “ex lover crazy obsessed woman” for Lanfear and lulling the viewers into buying that as her only motivation, but are making her more complex by leaning into how Lanfear only wanted LTT for his position/power, and by extension is going after Rand as The Dragon. It would give her the ability to go for what she really wants, her own Power. I also don’t think Egwene is broken. As Loial said, there’s steel under the exterior. By the end of the episode, I feel that her exterior is penetrated, but that last look of resolve is that look of steel being revealed.
Lauren. I think Min's vision of Siuan in full regalia being Moiraine's downfall was referring to the downfall of Moiraine's house, not her status as an Aes Sedai. Earlier in this episode we have Moiraine's comment that she is really the heir of her house. I think that this meeting will lead to the reveal that Bartharnes and/or her mother is/are Darkfriends. This will ruin the wedding and further disgrace Moiraine's house.
Thank you for another wonderfully detailed recap. Well spotted on when Lanfear pulled Rand away from Egwene. I don't doubt she was doing it as she did not want them connecting but it would make total sense that if the show goes with the books and has it a bad idea for a male challener to touch the adam she was also being protective. Assuming she understands the adam. In the books it was made after the sealing but the way it Tony Stark suits up it does give off AoL vibes. Even if it was invented after her sealing Lanfear likely understands the underlying theory better than anyone aside from Ishamael. Like you I was not expecting Ryma's fate to be so hard hitting and emotional but the actress did a wonderful job showing her to be kind, compassionate and giving of herself. I do hope we see more of her and that her fate differs from the books.
Speculation: Maybe Min's vision of Mat stabbing Rand with the Shadar Logoth dagger is the foreshadowing of the show's version of a certain cleansing (cf. Winter's Heart) that also involves Nynaeve. Rand willingly asks to be stabbed by Mat -- under Nynaeve's channeled supervision -- to connect certain... essences... cough cough.
I have a theory about how Egwene will be rescued. Elayne and Nynaeve now have an a’dam but have no idea how to remove one. They decide to kidnap a sul’dam and force her to tell how to remove the collar. Namely, Seta, who happens to be walking on the streets of Falme without a damane. The girls collar her, hoping that it will give her a reason to tell them how to remove it. As a surprise to everyone, it does actually work on her and Seta tells the girls how to remove it, hoping that they will free her. Then, Elayne and Nynaeve dress up as sul’dam and take Seta to the damane kennels. They free Egwene who then collars Renna who shows up. This is a slightly modified version of what happened in the book. I think Maigan might be rescued alongside Egwene. Nynaeve and Elayne now have four rings. They and Egwene will presumably use three of them to pose as full sisters. That leaves one ring. Maigan’s actress is credited for episode 8 on IMDB, while Ryma is not known to appear until the next season. Also, there’s only one yellow one, presumably for Nynaeve. If it’s true Moiraine has sworn an oath to not reveal the secret of the Dragon Reborn, what’s the exact wording? It would be pretty silly if she still couldn’t talk about it once everyone and their mother knows. The theory does make sense, though. In the show, Moiraine and Siuan were full sisters when they heard the prophecy. I can imagine Tamra forcing them to swear an oath as opposed to kind of forgetting about them like in the books. They still haven't used the words saidin and saidar. They should have by now.
I think that if you are just gonna basically tell what happens in the book just "slightly modified" then your opening sentence shouldn't be "I have a theory" it should be *Spoiler Warning.*
@@enicole1203 I think what is meant here is that being an Aes Sedai is not really popular in Falme where the Seanchan are headquartered rn ;) But I also agree that this whole comment here is full spoiler!!
In addition to being a symbol of the cycles of rebirth, I think the image of Rand being lashed to a wheel is making an allusion to a medieval torture device known as a "Catherine wheel" or "breaking wheel." In particular, the second part of the torture, after the bones have been broken, where the body is tied to the wheel and raised on a pole for public display
The question is: If Egewene hadn't been broken, then how could she think in her mind that the water pitcher wasn't a weapon and even managed to convince her subconscious that she couldn't hurt that woman? This can only be done when a person is mentally surrendered and broken!
I don't agree Egwene was broken. She was just damaged. She doesn't see the pitcher as a weapon anymore because she forced herself not to out if necessity, but that doesn't mean she has resigned herself to staying a Damane forever or that she has no more intentions to escape. This is just the only way for Egwene to survive. If she can't drink she can't live and she needed to be able to touch the pitcher to drink.
I think it is good to show, that there is no such thing as "unbreakable", not even the strong Egwene. Because that word suggests, that when broken, it was the victims fault for being to weak. Nobody is unbreakable, that is why it is important to treat each other with respect.
I agree. And just because she no longer wants to harm Renna, that doesn't mean she's not still resolved to escape etc. There are other ways to be strong in her situation that don't involve harming the suldam.
I really enjoyed this video. I agree with your take on Rand on the wheel but it also reminded me of a christ figure. The dragon reborn is definitely the savior figure in WoT. I think Morraine is shielded but my partner is convinced she is stilled. I'm excited to see which of us is right.
SPOILER I also think that she is shielded. But they may well go along with the idea of her being stilled and then have Nynaeve Heal her stilling instead of Logain's
thanks Lauren - I think Ishy thinks that turning/breaking one of the EF5 will be key to winning Taimon Gaidon rather than the actual Last battle - great stuff Tai'shar
Small correction lauren - SPOILERS FIRES OF HEAVEN . . . . . . . . . Male channelers can touch the a'dam but it causes both them and the damane pain. Male channelers (or even men who can learn to channel) and the damane will die if the man puts on the bracelet and the full link is attempted. In FoH rand attempts to get the a'dam off a damane just post igloo and all it does is make him flinch and the damane cry.
Yeah, I realized this after recording my script... but I didn't think it was worth editing. I wondered who might notice, haha. Congrats! 😅 I appreciate you bringing this up.
Great video!! But I must say that I like Moraine being mean and toxic. I think a lot of people underestimate the effects of being cut off from the One Power. I always felt like being stilled/gentled is verry similar to withdrawal. And in both situations people expect you to get over it fast and be kind gentle and understanding. I think Moraine getting over it so fast will undermine the importance of being stilled/gentled. Thanks for the video!
Great recap video as always. This WOT world has gotten so much bigger and interesting for me with the back story you provide. I ugly cried during this episode. Such incredible and heart breaking performances. The show has found its footing for me. As a non book reader there is one thing I need to understand, what does tying off a shield mean??
I think I can explain without being spoilery, picture this: loop a piece of thread around your finger but then let go. If someone pulls that thread, it will unravel and come right off. Now loop a thread around your finger but tie a strong knot in it. Now you can let go and even if someone pulls the ends, it will hold. So if you apply that logic to threads of the One Power, particularly a shield blocking someone else from touching the OP, you can probably imagine what it means to "tie off a shield."
@@HowieStephens so basically that means the shield is secured in place and the channeler that placed it does not need to maintain it and of course since they planted the seed that the Amerlyn has the gift of untying knots she will remove Morraine’s shield. So why was it necessary for so many to maintain Logan’s shield when it could have been tied? One of those “it makes no sense” things I guess 😂
Nynaeve has become more and more unbearable. I'm not a book reader. I genuinely hope she gets her pride and attitude in check. Because she could have stayed in the arches if she was going to be so annoying and prideful.
I bet Ryma gets rescued! Ryma replaces Edesina, Joline and Teslyn who got rescued in the books. Maighan replaces Ryma and Sheraine and becomes a perfect damane
I hope so, I don't mind losing Maighan but I want Ryma back! Edit: that sounded harsh... no offense to the actress but the Maighan character hasn't given me any emotional connection yet, but Ryma did in like 5 minutes. *spoilers* And I think it will be impactful to have a Sitter become a perfect Seanchan pet... it will give the tower even more reason to hate them AND more excuse to bring Siuan down.
Later book 2 spoiler... . . . . . I admit the entire scene with Barthanes I thought he looked extremely suspicious and my first thought was "Don't eat that sandwich! It's poisoned!!" I mean he is a dark friend. But after seeing others reactions I did a rewatch and if i ignore all that then he definitely just looks cute and like he's trying to help. 🤷♀️ lol
This season’s version of Matt Doesn’t really emote the same darkness as the season 1 Matt, so it’s hard to interpret what’s foreshadowing in his scenes.
In the x-ray the scene with Lan and Siuan is shown as in the Cairhien countryside. I think Siuan was already headed to Cairhien for some reason and we probably find out what that reason it in episode 7.
I don't wanna lie, I still don't get why everyone loves Mat so much. By this, you can obviously tell I haven't read the book. For me, he's the last one I care about when it comes to the 5 of them for how I have seen his character on the show. 😅😅😅
Actually, in the books, he's even more unlikable than in the show until he's healed from the dagger somewhere in the middle of the 3rd book. But then, he becomes totally awesome for many many reasons. But we're not sure yet if he's supposed to be healed yet or not as the events unfold a bit differently so far. So don't worry, it's very normal that you don't like him yet! So... WAFO! (Watch And Find Out, as Jordan used to reply a lot R[ead]AFO😜)
I think part of what makes Mat so likable is his charm and mischievous nature. From what I've seen, I think that Donal is going to be better at embodying that than Barney did or could. His backstory isn't as dark in the books, and because Barney left they had to switch up his character and plot a bit, so his humor and charm haven't been showcased the way they might have been otherwise. I'm excited to see how they include it more going forward. But it's also ok not to like him! I cared about all the characters but I don't know how many of them I'd actually want to hang out with in real life, lol. Sometimes even reading about them was frustrating! You'll probably get annoyed with every character at least once if you keep watching. That's part of what makes them realistic.
Now that I think about it, Egwene had to "bend" to survive, she truly is unbreakable, that would mean her death, too soon. She had to adapt. She gets to learn from so many different kind of channelers, because she learns to adjust.
In the books the Three Oaths predated Artur Hawkwing. This is another example of the TV series consolidating and taking shortcuts for dramatic impact. It works for TV, and works well, because we simply don’t have enough screen time to give the extended background. The books and RJ’s notes reveal that the Three Oaths were actually put into use sometime between the War of Power and the Trolloc Wars, so that Aes Sendai would be trusted by the fractured petty kingdoms which the Aes Sedai wanted to influence. The fact that the Oath Rod was originally made to punish criminal mis-use of the Power, and that it halved the life span of the channeler being bound, was either forgotten or deemed to be an acceptable price to pay for the peace of the world.
One thing... Logain shouldn't be able to see Rand's use of the Power since he is gentled... but maybe that fact is one they just don't want us to remember. Thanks for your analyses!
I didn't like the "Lan might be a darkfriend" thing. I think back to the Gawyn line "I'd believe my own mother a darkfriend before *redacted*". It just isn't believable, you can have them question him about the letter without implying he went to the shadow.
Great breakdown as always. I am still hoping for portalstones but is maybe too early. Now everyone's timeline is just a mess. Don't make the same mistake that game of thrones did in seasons 7 and 8
I like the idea that Siuan has been captured and stilled. And Lanfear has replaced her. That in the trailer for the next episode that is Lanfear disguised as Siuan along with the black Ajah members. However, I don’t think it actually fits the direction the show is going. I believe it is Siuan. I believe Rand gets away and her inability to control the dragon in that moment, leads to the descent in the tower and her downfall. Moiraine will get her ability to channel back thanks to Siuan. Her, Lan and Rand will escape to Falme. And in the last episode each of the five Taveren will choose the light but in a way that will change everything. I haven’t read the books though.
@@UnravelingthePattern I believe the prophecy Min gave Moiraine is far more interesting than the one she has of Matt and Rand because it’s ludicrous for the writers to want us to believe that Rand will be murdered. For that reason I’d really love to hear what you guys in the book reader content creating community would have to say about the unfolding of that Moiraine’s prophecy. It would make a really good video because the prophecy component of this story is the most fascinating in my opinion. Especially the fact that someone as composed and adept as Moiraine has been fooled by prophecy more than anyone. I’d go as far to say that Lan told Siuan, Siuan came up with a plan to expose the truth of the dragon and that’s the letter Moiraine was reading. Moiraine doesn’t agree with the plot because her inability to channel complicates her ability to protect Rand. Is there anyone else they can trust to believe the dragon could right the ship this time? To me, this season is more about this conflict than anything else, including the Horn.
A weird observation from a hard of hearing fan - Kerenae (sp?) was mentioned before and she did in a way return home to thr Motherland. She was the Aes Sedai who died when Logane exploded his cage, in the cave, and her return to her land, from dearh by blood loss, in the cave. And, the last embrace of The Mother was her burial site. Her name and death seem to be foreshadowing the return of other very powerful women of The Blood, if I understood your Old.Tongue word properly.
The Egwene part, while I was glad to have seen it, I don’t want to revisit. For me, the book descriptions aren’t remotely as vivid as TV depiction, and the latter disturbed me.
This episode was definitely a hard watch. But think of how satisfying it will be when Egwene finally gots that damned collar off and Renna will probably forced to wear it. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna build my own evil empire for the fantasy series I'm in the process of writing.

@@mohmohlante5809 I had to come back to your comment. I was thinking about something. The lady kept saying anything you think to use as a weapon you cannot. Or would she literally have to be shielded from the power? I'm only thinking of this bc Nyneve also has blocks with her power bc of her fear of it and other things, and she had a point where she could not channel well unless necessary.

I loved Ryma so much. I have a vague recollection of her in the books but I hope she gets more time because she was AWESOME.
12 episodes or annual release. You can have one or the other but not both.
I do not comment often, but your Videos are some of the best in the fandom! Keep up the great work! :)
Thank you! Will do!
Top quality as usual! I know that Marcus Rutherford watches your channel too, because he liked my FB post when I commented that I was waiting for your video analysis
Really? That’s awesome!
What?! That's amazing!
It's true. I think it was for a trailer before eps1-3 dropped
Also Logain telling Rand he had to seize the source and make it his echoed Selene in her line to him about power, it isn't given, you have to take it.
21:04 your explanation cleared things up so much, I was annoyed and confused by Logain telling him to first surrender then take it too
This channel, so far, for me is the best channel in breaking down each wheel of time episodes. Keep up the great work.
Wow, thanks!
Absolutely right!
Turok's curiosities could provide loads of plot points
Ishy is promising to remove Min's visions in the same way Baron Harkonnen promised to reunite Yueh with his wife
This episode was super emotional. The Egwene scenes were tough to watch
Yes and I remember this isn't the first time Egwene has been tortured and survived. She survived the white cloaks too on season one.
Thank you!
These breakdowns are flawless💯
The ring they have is a Ter'Angreal dream weaver.... the one Elaine replicates in the book so others can go into the dream world.
Still the best WoT content on t'interwebs ❤
The big Falme episode is the finale(What was meant to be). the Cairhein wrapup is next one(Daes'damar).
We get Bain and Chiad next episode along with Seta. So they are probably gonna show the fate of the more complying damane. We are also probably going to see Perrin meet Bain and Chiad and get some development into Aiel culture.
Hope they really nail the finale since those are what people really love about the book series.
All really good predictions and thoughts!
I can't remember which Reactor mentioned it, but Siuan literally created "a Crown of Sword" as her form of attack!

I think it would better manage errors like that to add something to her costume to cover them. 😂
Astounding work as always, Lauren. Thank you!

Nice work getting this out so fast. Don't overwork yourself!
What a brilliant breakdown! Long time reader and current watcher of the seals.... I mean show! 😜 Can't wait to see more of your trip to Prague.
Thanks! I can't wait to share more!
Great theory! Love this idea!
That's a good theory, but Min's vision says 'the amyrlin seat', not Siuan. So someone else could be Moiraine's downfall if they became the amyrlin.
@@telpewen 😮 Nice catch!
@@telpewenthat's what I figured all along too, similar to how when Mo got exiled she swore only to return when SUIAN called her, not "The Amyrlin"
How can Nynaeve and Elayne "pose as full sisters [of the Aes Sedai]" anywhere in Falme?
@@pete4096 they were just handed three Aes Sedai rings, so it's definitely possible 😄
That look on rymas face was just heartbreaking. What a performance!
The question is:
If Egewene hadn't been broken, then how could she think in her mind that the water pitcher wasn't a weapon and even managed to convince her subconscious that she couldn't hurt that woman? This can only be done when a person is mentally surrendered and broken!
I don't agree Egwene was broken. She was just damaged. She doesn't see the pitcher as a weapon anymore because she forced herself not to out if necessity, but that doesn't mean she has resigned herself to staying a Damane forever or that she has no more intentions to escape.
This is just the only way for Egwene to survive. If she can't drink she can't live and she needed to be able to touch the pitcher to drink.
Agreed.
That's very fair. I suppose "broken" was the wrong term. She was certainly bent... I like the comment that says she's being "forged"
I agree!
I cried when Ryma is captured and put collar on
I think it is good to show, that there is no such thing as "unbreakable", not even the strong Egwene. Because that word suggests, that when broken, it was the victims fault for being to weak. Nobody is unbreakable, that is why it is important to treat each other with respect.
Love this. You're right!

I also think that she is shielded. But they may well go along with the idea of her being stilled and then have Nynaeve Heal her stilling instead of Logain's

Lanfear is deeply in love with the dragon. She's been with him in his past life.
Great recap video as always. This WOT world has gotten so much bigger and interesting for me with the back story you provide. I ugly cried during this episode. Such incredible and heart breaking performances. The show has found its footing for me. As a non book reader there is one thing I need to understand, what does tying off a shield mean??
You'll find out more very soon!
Gorgeous, amazing video as always.
Thanks for uploading ! I look forward to your videos 😊
It would have been cool to see Sichuan untie the knot weave like you said. It would have been a cool throw back to Sichuan's backstory
Nynaeve has become more and more unbearable.
I'm not a book reader. I genuinely hope she gets her pride and attitude in check. Because she could have stayed in the arches if she was going to be so annoying and prideful.
Haha, that is a major part of her character in the books, but I promise the payoff is worth it!
RIIIIIGHT

I bet Ryma gets rescued! Ryma replaces Edesina, Joline and Teslyn who got rescued in the books. Maighan replaces Ryma and Sheraine and becomes a perfect damane
I was thinking/hoping the same thing!

Wasn't she going to the royal wedding? I think they mentioned it in one of the scenes between Moiraine and her sister.
Probably for the wedding of queen Galldrian and Barthanes.

Slight correction, Ogier shape stone and rock using normal methods, they are just still very good at it. Possibly very good engineering acumen

21:50 Nynaeve didn't remove the colored cuffs from her dress. That was done by Ryma and her Warder in episode 5 while Nynaeve was unconscious.
Perhaps! I'll have to go back and check!
I don't wanna lie, I still don't get why everyone loves Mat so much. By this, you can obviously tell I haven't read the book. For me, he's the last one I care about when it comes to the 5 of them for how I have seen his character on the show. 😅😅😅
His POV chapters are the funniest in the WoT books.
@questionsroxelane3643 I will keep watching. Thank you for making me understand
Thank you so much for your videos
Very nice! And not to spoilery for a non-bookreader!👍👍👍 Thank you!🎡🎡🎡⌚️⌚️⌚️
Brilliant breakdown, your thoughts about Ryma echo mine.
Another awesome breakdown!
Great points. I should've specified that this was "show only lore"
Fantastic!
One thing... Logain shouldn't be able to see Rand's use of the Power since he is gentled... but maybe that fact is one they just don't want us to remember. Thanks for your analyses!
I agree. This is an intentional change they made for the show. They've said Logain has a "Talent" for seeing these things even though he is Gentled.
I didn't like the "Lan might be a darkfriend" thing. I think back to the Gawyn line "I'd believe my own mother a darkfriend before *redacted*". It just isn't believable, you can have them question him about the letter without implying he went to the shadow.
Good vids my man
Great breakdown as always. I am still hoping for portalstones but is maybe too early. Now everyone's timeline is just a mess. Don't make the same mistake that game of thrones did in seasons 7 and 8
I'm guessing portal stones are one of the things that will be cut out in the name of conciseness
Really good thoughts! I hope you're right about all of it!
I'll just say, watch episode 7 and then we'll talk!
The spelling is all different and truthfully I might have mispronounced the Corenne (the Return), but I love your observation!
The Egwene part, while I was glad to have seen it, I don’t want to revisit. For me, the book descriptions aren’t remotely as vivid as TV depiction, and the latter disturbed me.
Fantastic video. Thank you ❤
super good episode, mostly because of the flawless performance of the actress that portraits Egewene
I love Renna! My favorite character so far.
This episode was definitely a hard watch. But think of how satisfying it will be when Egwene finally gots that damned collar off and Renna will probably forced to wear it. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna build my own evil empire for the fantasy series I'm in the process of writing.
