Dirty Loops are unbelievable. You will not find a tighter, more creative, more musically gifted three-piece in the world. A band that takes their craft very seriously, but themselves not at all. They are literally in a league of their own, and super nice people on top of it.

Don'' t expect the same as their studio versions because that is produced from live pieces. They have an extra keyboard player to fill up the harmony and the extra's. Henrik Linder plays 6 string bass. About the bass there, yes the E string has a 2 fret extension to D so the glue vise acts like a capo. The tuner for that string actually sits at the back of the body behind the bridge, and that is actually a Hipshot D-tuner, so the E- string can actually drop down to C. He plays the bass and guitar parts at the same time

    Yep, melli rocks!
Thanks a bunch for making this reaction possible 🙏
And man, was it fun to see you both with goosebumps, tears in your eyes and the whole gamut from disbelief to joy…
Henrik rocking the splits, the extra arms, the fake double necked bass with cigarette mounted to the headstock, Aron with tights and headband, and Jonah in his glitter jacket and shades, is Dirty Loops on a whole new level 🤣
I think they had so much fun in making this vid. The recording of it though was a very different process. The idea for the song started way back in 2015 with Aron and Henrik. Henrik talks about it in a recent interview on the YT channel ‘Journey to the Stage’. Then there is the Rick Beato interview with all three of them, -super interesting.
There’s a lot of production in this recording, yet Henrik does all of the playing except some passages which were played on keys/synth. And he can pull it off live too - in a slightly different version tho adapted to live playing. After this track came out he’s been called Henrik Van Halen, even Van Alien :)
The credits refer amongst other things to his ‘tatoo’ on his fake hand, spelling ARON, who basically wrote the song, conceived of those two bass breaks ‘with a lot of noise, where the verses should be’ (Henrik). Aron also did most of the final production on it. They also mention the beat boxer, some questionable figure from Swedish political life, amongst other things.
I think, often these are more insider jokes known to Swedes.
And yes, there was a big string section involved, although not sure where.
In another reaction video of Run Away, someone pointed out Aron’s insane drumming on this track 🔥
This is the first release from their new, upcoming album. Henrik mentioned that the next one is due later this month. Fingers crossed, I can’t wait! ☺️

Of all Dirty Loops reactions I have seen (its a lot of them) I must say that your reactions are one of the best. Your positive energy jumps all the way to Sweden and give me positive energy. Thanks for that!
I love Jeremy's music nerdy way of talking and Jillian who knows music more than she thinks she can.
I almoset wish I were sitting in the same room as you when you make your next reaction.
If you want to experience something calmer from DL - make a reaction to "breakdown". In that song jonah takes his highest note ever, Bb5.

In my opinion, there are two ways to interpret the “four arms” on the bass:
    1) “I can do with two hands what would take you four.”
    2) it’s a tribute to Aron, who writes much of Henrik’s bass lines. This is supported by the “Aron” written on one of the fake hands at the beginning.
This your favorite band’s favorite band. 👍

Awesome reaction guys! And when you move on you know you’re into something you didn’t saw coming.. “Next to you” is absolutely epic. Epic! And the hit song “Hit me” from 2014 still blows everyone away. Also fun to see their start with covers some 14 years ago, the most listen to being Justin Biebers “Baby”. That’s when I started to follow them and it’s incredible how good they were even back then.
Those three are my absolute recommendations to go on with. And after that there’s so much more. Like Jonah’s solo project “Diamond Ring” with Steve Vai as guest with an incredible solo.

I'm a Swede too, living abroad and very critic to what our country have become in many ways. But the music is still great! A lot of athenticity, everyone does what they really love to do. And crosses over to other genres if they want to. Like Freddie wadling once a punk rocker singing in the "Leather Nun" going over, while older, to sing old evangelic hymns... Just for the love of music.

It meant I didn't get to hear the full intended solo live, but he made up for it by joking about it later, saying "so I have a really cool system to do all the sounds for my bass, and now you know what it sounds like when that doesn't work" :D

Anthem rock from the 80's. This is the band that Bill and Ted set out to create.

@@musikbyjh hehe, y’know, low-key, calybaras are a whole vibe. So are D.L, meaning the capy’s aren’t too far out of place 😏

Hi Jeremy & Jillian. Check out Henrique on Bass in this clip. th-cam.com/video/kkmqgKAoB6s/w-d-xo.html I'm eighty one years old and love what Dirty loops are bringing to the table. Classicaly trained yet full of funk. My love of music started a long time ago but I have followed the progression with a passion which has brought me too Dirty Loops. I downloaded their first recordings way back and have really enjoyed their journey into the commercial side of the music industry. They have not sold their souls to "pop" and can do it all, fusion, jazz and yes, POP.

@@petertoal371 that U.T.F.F. track is amazing, not to mention funny. But what a collaboration.
I’ve listened to a lot of Henrik’s other collaborations out there and admire his stylistic diversity and his knack in accompanying/supporting other people in other genres.
In a recent TH-cam interview he says that he sees himself not as a jazz player, but a ‘fake jazz’ player at best, and I think it’s somewhat understated :)
I love how Dirty Loops bring together such a wide group of people from all walks of music, even people coming from classical and jazz, such as myself ☺️
Looking forward tremendously to hearing their new stuff!
      Best to you, Peter 👍
