    Love it! Seems like this would be a great solution for a Pink Floyd type tribute band ;) We see a "MIDI Sync" button in the SoundSwitch interface. What does this allow you to do? Did you end up using this function at all?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Jeff! It also might be a cool option for a light show that is synced to Caedence 🙂. If the "MIDI Sync" is enabled and a connected MIDI interface is selected in the preferences, then SoundSwith will match the BPM of the master source. I haven't tried it yet, but it really helps expand the number of options you have using SoundSwitch. Thanks for watching this one!

    Nice Video. I was wondering where you got the short par stands for 2 fixtures each?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi and thanks for the kind words! I made those short pieces by cutting down a longer section with my hacksaw. (aluminum tubing was very easy to cut) The smaller bars have been perfect for quick setups at smaller gigs and have been working well. Appreciate you watching...

    Great video! A few questions. With the 2.5w laser How dark of a room do you need to be in. Can you show a logo in a bright room ? How far away can you be to protect a logo. How long does the battery last. Thank you for the help.

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for the kind words! The 2.5W LaserCube is really bright and you can easily see its output in a fully lit room. There are videos from Wicked Lasers showing LaserCubes projecting logos on the sides of large buildings, so you can be a long ways away. And the battery lasts about 2 to 3 hours. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    Can you completely eliminate the Y axis? I think it is or the vertical axis and just have the laser shoot horizontally by just DMX control.? Would be nice if you could have the laser run through all of its patterns, but just on a horizontal axis. Eliminating any vertical up and down scanning

    I tried to connect with the soundswitch cable and lasercubes connected by wifi, but it doesn’t work? I can select the lasercube artnet driver. But when making a cue like in thus video nothing happens

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly it took me a while to get everything working as it does in the video. I use QLC+ (free program) to first make sure the cube is really in artnet mode and properly connected to the computer. (every setting has to be exactly right) Once you have confirmed that DMX can control the laser (and you have confirmed that Soundswitch is properly controlling your standard DMX lights) the cues should work just as they do in the video. Be prepared to spend a little time troubleshooting. Hope that helps and thanks for watching...

    how do i set parameters once in dmx? i have a 2.5 cube and wanna use it dmx with my lights but i also wanna be able to set the parameters lol im scared of scanning the crowd.. dont know if im being a wienie but i know its got power.. what could i do to use it to scan crowd if i could? usualy just shoot it above the heads at solid objects behind the crowd for beam shows. you are the only pioneer with the cube lol :). keep up the good workk!!!!

      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad to hear you are using caution with respect to your audience.
      When you "update" the firmware to make your cube an Artnet device, you lose all functionality with LaserOS including its general settings like "projector setup" You will have to rely on the adjustment of beam blocker to keep beams clear of people's eyes.

    Thanks for sharing! Quick question, how does it connect to Soundswitch? Does the lasercube have a DMX input connection?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi- You need to update the firmware to a special version which converts the cube into an artnet device. Then you can connect either wirelessly or with an ethernet cable. Appreciate you watching!

    Hy, it’s possible to have the same color of the track with laser automatically ?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thats a good question. I don't believe it will automatically pick the laser color. In my experience you have to program the particular pattern/color manually and then place it in the timeline. (If I have that wrong, someone please let me know how its done)

    My friend, your videos are awesome! Usually the best! How can I contact you? Would love to speak with you for a little consultation and could possibly compensate you. We are not rich as we are live performers of a magical musical show, just the two of us, and trying to do the best we can. Anyway, if there's any chance, let me know how. Thank you so much!

      Hi and thanks for the kind words! I do this channel part time as a hobby. If I can help with a question in this comment section I am happy to give it a shot, but don't do "consulting" outside of that. Thanks for understanding and good luck with your magical, musical act!

      @@LearnLizard totally understand. Thanks for getting back with me! Here's a basic question maybe you can answer. Using one of the basic consoles like obey or Rockville 192 kind of thing is there anyway to have a smooth transition between scenes? I understand I can use the speed to change between chases but if I just want to have say sixpar lights that are red and blue for the first half of the act and then have a smooth transition to pink and green or something is it always going to be a slam into the color change or can I program it to be smooth I will actually operate this myself from the wing so I could use the slider if there's a way to do it. Thanks for any thoughts!

    hi thank you for the vidoe. it means a lot to us. One think i am wondering. you know channel 3 controls patterns. Can we customise these patterns? thank you

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't believe it is possible for the patterns to be altered on Channel 3. You need to pick from the ones that are already programmed.
      Appreciate you watching!

    HELP, I am trying to get a good comparison on moving heads. Does anyone know anything about BOTAI lighting or Rush Stage? I own a production company and we need higher quality movers and moving pars and I am trying to get the most bang for the least buck. Any thoughts, thanks!

    How do you connect the laser to your dj system

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its the app (SoundSwitch) that actually can connect directly to your DJ software. The laser connects to the computer wirelessly (after you have converted it to Artnet mode) and is controlled by SoundSwitch. Appreciate you watching!
