Session version 1.0 is officially out ladies and gentlemen! More folks have been joining the community and it has been an absolute blast to see reactions from players old and new to the newest version.
There's one particular Session challenge getting a lot of scratched heads so I thought I'd make a little tips video about Daewon Song's Ride Rock challenge. When's the last time you skated some stone?

What the hell this is exactly what I'm doing but it's just flat out not registering. I have done it dozens of times but it just flat out doesn't work.
Same here. I did it perfectly but the challenge wont be completed
@@olivierjobin4250 There's a couple that are like that I've found. This one, the one you need to grind the 76 hip, and another in SF I think? I forget but you need to do a couple lines and the last trick, a boardslide, just doesn't work.

Same thing with the challenge where I have to do a “switch bs tail, fakie full cab flip, switch nosegrind to flip out then switch kick flip… I’ve landed it so many times but it will not register it.. sad too cause I want to do more! Hope they fix that soon

EVERYBODY STRUGGLING MAKE SURE YOU PULLING YOUR STICKS IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION FOR THE HALF CAB OTHERWISE WILL BE A “LOW POP” AND NOT COUNT!!! Been working on this for days and soon as I did the Fakie 180 (Half Cab) properly with sticks pushed in opposite directions worked first try.

For anyone struggling, I did the first trick a dozen times and I think I figured out why it didn't register. I was doing the first trick at the top of the rock. When it finally registered, I did the trick JUST above the plywood. I think if you gain too much speed and go too far up the rock, it doesn't register. Now, for these other two tricks that will probably take me 47 years...

@@DangOlJesse it was the last trick popping off of the rock but somebody said you have to be more to the left side of the rock for it to register and sure enough it worked for me. So the game is still a bit buggy.

Lol youre totally wrong I've done your method no matter what timing I do it will not register. I know some dipshits will think I'm lying but I've recorded 19 successful attempts now, pressure flip all landed on every single inch of the rock - plywood. This is absolutely garbage and makes the game genuinely look like a joke.
5 months later, still bugged .
Landed the exact combo with low pops high pops, different angles in and out, boning ollies. Nothing works. This sucks.
Had no problem with this challenge but can't get that freakin BS Noseblunt in that picnic bench set-up challenge. Tried a 100 times now and pisses me off😁
Same bro but the difference is that i cant even do this challenge. I have trick disblay on and i did them like xxx times but the game doesnt count it.
@@SebounLP yeah, the game still has problems in recognising the demanded tricks. In SF I gotta do a BS 360, did it over an over again, still not recognised. They promised to fix it, but...
I'm stuck on this and the bench noseblunt too. Can't lock it on the bench without falling. Don't know if I'm hitting the wrong part, or if it's a bad angle or what.
@@DangOlJesse after watching the blunt/noseblunt video from JL nightmare, I finally made the bench challenge. Look it up, it's really helpful
I finally figured out my mistake. So if you are STILL having trouble with this. you might be doing a "low pop FS half cap". it doesn't say you do but here is the deal. To do it properly, when youre coming back down fakie, flick your foot DOWN instead of UP to pop. you will notice much more pop on the FS half cab. if you are just doing fakie ollie, it will also tell you "low-pop" if you are doing it wrong.

This was my issue as well, after about of week of revisiting the spot and failing finally did it right 1 time and registered instantly. I don’t think there’s a trick registry issue at all I think just so many players aren’t doing it correctly.

Flick which foot down? I skate goofy and have my L pressed up and then flick my right down. Is that wrong? It doesn't say I'm doing a low pop, it just says FS half cab but I just can't get this to register. Must have done it 100 times with a proper pressure flip and FS half cab down.
I was stuck for 30 fucking minutes. Finally hit it. Realized if you don’t Ollie high enough on the fakie half cab, it won’t register it. Holy shit I hated this mission lol
Just so you know, this mission is currently glitched with hardcore controls. Switch to normal/true stance and the mission will be hella easy.
I’m having trouble with the second one. There is no “nollie kickflip” so I assume it means nollie flip so if I’m wrong there then that’s the problem but I’ve done 100 Ollie up nollie flip switch bs flip and it never works. Any help would be appreciated

@@Drusifer1787 its been awhile but i believe it had to do with where you Ollie off for the third trick. I think i kinda went off to the left a little bit
I can’t even get past the first challenge in this mission. It won’t register the hardflip I guess?
I accidently did a tre flip and it counted it for whatever reason, try that.
So this video helped me realize , I was doing the wrong trick . I need to read better lmao . I was stuck here aftr watching I passed the mission 5-8 mins later . Now im with appleyard mission is called picnic bench set up . And im stuck . I put the bench everywhere im doing the nollie kick and 5-0 aftr and im not getting anything. I’ve moved the table several ways and it’s still not working .
Edit: I realized I still wasn’t reading better lmaooo he wanted a BS 5-0 and I was doing a FS.

Thanks for the video. But wait wut!!!!??? I see you're riding regular, as I do for one of my custom, whereas I had to go back to change my stance (then goofy) to register the two first ones. Still strugling for the third tho. Will try regular. Thanks errrrrrrrrrrrr

my problem was the "fakie" part, i was doing frontside 180's but switch not fakie

stick to the left side of the wood if your tricks are not registering and to the 2nd trick when your reach the rock

It just takes some messing around. Repetition is your friend. The registration on the challenges isn't perfect so it's kind of a constant thing sadly
SUPER EASY TO FIX‼️ had this problem for a while and all i had go do is change the input mode from (Left/ Right Foot) to any other than the default input settings, hopefully this helped ✌️💪

the pressure flip is listed incorrectly in the trick list page. was trying for ages to realize it was scoop down as your video shows.
I'm not 100% sure it is? I think it's correct per se, it just looks so awkward in the trick menus because the arrows look off
Either way, if it cause that sort of confusion, it's a problem.
@@ERRRskateGaming yeah maybe I'm just reading it incorrectly. Also. The mission objectives disappearing is not good. That needs to stay on the screen if it's a tracked objective.

I know it doesn't work for other people as well and maybe seeing exactly how you did it might help recreating it. Did it around 20 times now, BS and FS. I'm done for today 😂

Just figured it out. If you approach from the left side and do the sw bs flip off the same side it worked.

For others still struggling don’t go too far up the rock or it won’t register. I came here looking at why it wasn’t registering the “fakie FS 180” and apparently it just wasn’t registering cause I was pressure flipping too high up the rock and needed to pressure flip earlier or go slower

This doesn't work either. There are major mistakes in SRC. I'm afraid more and more software is being released by amateurs like these. What's the point of gitting gud when your all your gud at is bad work. These devs need to go back to their previous jobs.

Make sure you pressure flip the tail on the middle board, and half cab before the railing the first board is on and it works. Really needs fixed.

Just did this. My main stance in the game is goofy. And I didn’t manage to pass this stupid 3rd part of this mission.
So I changed my stance to regular in apartment and did it first try.
Mine always registers as fs half cab and not a fakie 180. Which is mind blowing hlep please

I was stuck on this for a short while. I realised on the 3rd trick I was doing a switch fs ollie instead of the fake ollie (half cab)

It literally says "pressure flip" how much more specific does it need to be. Maybe if you knew the terminology like you should at this point.
@@jonnie2bad the game does it all through where it just says "flip" or "trick" how is it unreasonable to think that what it could be when all you know at this point in pressure kickflip and heelflip? Not mad about it but its unfortunate wording cause of the trick, chill out.

This is literally the hardest challenge in gaming history...
The input in the guide is completely wrong compared to the exact input. Goofy stance says LS Left, with a LS right/upwards scoop, RS down. Where it's LS Left, with a LS left side swoop down, RS down.

I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong, but no matter what I do I can’t even get the first trick to register. I do a FS flip on the ramp and hard flip down, I’ve tried doing a fs flip and a switch hard flip down, tried doing a switch fs flip and a hard flip down. Nothing works.

Ive done the last over 50 times and it still hasnt counted
For anyone struggling with the last trick not registering go really slow like as slow as you can while still being able to Ollie up to the wood. Did this countless times and it wouldn’t register until I did it super slow you can’t have too much speed for this don’t do tricks at the top of the rock.
Went slow as possible, made the trick a couple times where I actually had speed to clear the gap coming down the ramp. Never registered any of the times. Done with Session until it run properly.
Did it 24 times successfully, recorded every attempt for proof. Hit it from every angle possible. This shit is a joke, genuinely embarrassing.
How do you stay fakie? Mine keep coming up arms switch 180s
When you're coming down you need to use the other stick move it upward as if you were setting up a nollie
My freaking HELLLLena Montana! I kept doing a pressure kick flip. No joke, I did it probably 50 times and by the 30th I was yelling at the TV to work. By 40th attempt I’m absolutely stomping it but it’s still a pressure kick flip so it didn’t work. 50th I watched your amazing video and stomped it first try after watching this. THANK YOU!! 😂👍🏻

Feel so dumb now... lmao I've been doing pressure kickflip trying this challenge, in my world what they call a pressure flip is a pressure varial, the pressure kickflip is what we would call a pressure flip, then pressure heel and pressure varial heel lmao. I having trouble with the second one with the nollie flip switch bs flip out. I’m on hardcore and notice that it won’t count unless you catch with both feet, specially with Song’s challenges

The pressure flip is easy it’s getting off of the ply that isn’t. It doesn’t matter how early, on time or late I ollie, my guy bails, without fail, every single time.
That may have to do with your settings. What are your gravity settings like?

I finally got this today after 3 days non stop trying.and the trophy for finishing all daewons mission didnt pop.then looked at the trophy stats and it says I'm only 50 percent done?I cant see anymore daewon missions I've finished the story months ago but couldn't get that rock ride one untill today got it to register doing it goofy
He has quite a few challenges, it's part of one of the longest set of Pro challenge chains. I believe he has 8. Nicely done though! Glad that worked out

@@ERRRskateGaming yea I had to change settings to “left foot right foot” not “front and back” that seemed to work. I did change some other stuff but mainly it stopped making left stick turn left when inputting.

You're the only YTber that explains this 100% perfectly and shows it. Got it first T. The others before this were easy for me as I shred with consistency and know my orientation well.
Dude I grew up doing pressure flips and I was doing this wrong, doing straight pressure flips instead of proper pressure flips until I saw your video. I figured it was just being buggy because the previous step in the challenge took forever to register despite my doing it proper like 12 times until it worked for some unknown reason. THANK YOU and shame on me for forgetting what a proper pflip was.
You're welcome! And it's all good man xD. Pressure flips weren't really popular in my skate circles. I remember Nate Sherwood had a whole bag of pressure flips but I rarely saw any past that
@@ERRRskateGaming they were everywhere in my little scene for a quick minute. I agonized over learning them "the hard way" as a young kid. Wasn't til later I figured out I didn't have to do the tricks that were trendy to have fun. Nate Sherwood is the gd pflip boss tho.

A lot of people have been mentioning that doing on the wood or barely just above has been registering for them. Mine clearly goes above the wood but maybe that can help?
what is a half cab and how do i FS half cab
A fs half cab is just a fakie Frontside 180. The final trick off the rock and over the fencing

@@ERRRskateGaming I guess so but I've skated pretty much my whole life and have never heard somebody refer to that as a pressure flip but I could just be out of the loop. There's some weird ones in this game tho, like how they go out of their way to name the modern ghetto bird but not have a name for the other version. But I appreciate them allowing us to do these tricks in the first place so I'm not complaining haha
@@cedricfoust1941 Nate Sherwood was big on pressure flips. He's got some parts from the early 2000s where he basically abused pressure flips. That's about when I learned about it. It's weird, but there's precedent. Actually I should go check some of those parts out

It’s not goofy. It’s switch. It’s called goofy the way you push IN switch.

Categorically incorrect. It's only switch for people who play in regular stance. Quite a few default to goofy. Goofy footed stance is when your default stance is right forward. Switch is merely riding the opposite of your default stance. I think you're thinking of mongo pushing.
Why won’t it register my FS Half Cab? And how didn’t you guys know it’s a regular ass Pressure Flip? Guessing no one here actually skates huh?
I've been skating for like 20 something years. Pressure flips were never really biig in my circles. I can only vaugely recall Nate Sherwood really doing them back in the day.
As for the Half cab things, I don't even know. I had trick display on during my completetion of the challenge and it registered as half cab while finishing it. The trick registration in the game is just kinda all around wonky
This is broken on the PS5, I did it about 100 times won't register. Did it on all gravity settings, nothing, completely unpassable on the PS5.
I just finished it on ps5 a few days ago. The game is finicky, it does work though

Yeah man. For all the wonderful things this game does, the challenges are very persnickety, inconsistent and aggravating. This particular challenge wasn't one that bothered me a ton. I've got a bunch of others that are on my shitlist. (Can't tell you how many times I did the over the banks wall challenge).
