super interesting never thought about hybrid being on bikes
Yeah, I honestly didn’t know anyone was seriously working to bring one to market
“Purists” will still bitch and moan 😂. I’m 53 and looking at my midlife crisis vehicle, and this looks tempting 🤔.
Just wish it came in colors, not just this 💩 silver and green.
The ev mode will show its true value in summer traffic snarls, my Versys 650 23 model , is a sauna at the lights in above 30 degrees celsius temperatures . This should be a lot cooler at standstill and low speeds.
1000cc acceleration is +70 in first gear… this doesn’t even come close to a 600cc… my opinion they are marketing this wrong.
how many miles/km out of a full tank?
They claim 64mpg in hybrid mode and a 3.6 gallon tank
Stop calling chinese companies in a derogative way, it is getting old
waaa waaa 😢😢😢
if u dont like it then dont watch it 😂
Currently looking for a new bike to get around my city and to work; and this is so interesting!
I dont like full EV right now, but given it's a hybrid it'd be amazing in my area. A little spotty about the speed but if it can hit 80 I'm happy. After a handful of speeding tickets I could use some slower speed time 😅
Awesome review that really cleared up some of my questions from how it works to the sizing of it.
It’ll definitely run 80 lol since it has the same engine as the ninja 500 I’m guessing the top speed would be around the same as that bike
Kawazaki website offers a tutorial video. You should have watched before doing a video lol
I tried watching a couple videos but I only had 1 day notice and most of the videos didn’t go into detail on the buttons and half were in a different language. To be honest watching it back I was pretty disappointed in my effort, maybe should’ve took it for a decent ride and then came back and filmed the video
This power house should be mounted in power cruiser body
If it’s going to be best used in a larger city commuting (as far as reaching its potential of fuel economy) I would think they should have it in the versys x bike personally
Exactly idk why they put it in a super sport style frame
Also please take the time to inform yourself about a product if you are reviewing it. At the very least read its manual
Well I do mention I’m no expert when it comes to sport bikes in general, and definitely not something like this with hybrid tech. I did watch 2 videos about it before I went to ride it, unfortunately neither video detailed how all of the settings work, not saying someone doesn’t have a video detailing it but I didn’t find one, and these bikes just started arriving at dealers in North America 2 weeks ago so not a ton of info on them. I don’t really know how to preface the video any better than I did, again I mention I’m no expert and just going to learn as I go 🤷🏼♂️
Honestly, I prefer this vs. the info dump & talking points that the manufacturer wants creators to drop on viewers. The video is literally "First Ride Impressions," and I think it's a more pure impression if you go into it without knowing and having preconceived notions.

@@josht717100% while very technical and informative videos are fun. This is realistically how we'd all be interacting with the bike ride one out of the dealership.
So it's a different kind of informative to see a first ride video like this. Eases some anxiety about it too.
The way im yelling inside my head to tap the button to and not hold it. Same as a car, when you hold traction control it turns off stability it has dual function
Haha yeah, there was a lot to learn on this thing in a short amount of time. In hindsight I should’ve took it for a short ride to figure everything out prior to filming my “first ride” lol
@@DirtRider22a haha, still liked the review though :)
Hey is that bike semi automatic????
Yes
Cool
Zzzzzzz
crap!
This is so gay
lol
A motorcycle is meant to require skill and be loud. No one will hear you coming on this bike, which is very dangerous in America specifically as well as other countries.
If you rely on noise to keep you safe, maybe you should stop riding. Only your skill and intelligence can keep you safe.
@@h.d.h sound is a very small portion of staying safe on a bike, but it is a very important one still. Obviously my judgement doesn’t change when riding my talaria xxx, but comparing to my mt-09 w a full arrow exhaust, many considerate drivers move a little to one side to let me pass which is cool
@@Soeks77sound does help, and this bike has the ninja 400 engine with the e1 (I think) electric motor as well, so it does make noise 👍.
There is literally no evidence that having a loud bike helps anyone ever. In fact, there is plenty of evidence that if you rev bomb, a car won't notice you anyway and drive right into you.
@@logangodofcandy idk I personally feel safer w a loud exhaust. With already great fuel economy too, I don’t know why they would add an electric power train ontop of the gas engine. It’ll get 60-70mpg just by itself which is plenty enough
