It's almost the end of 2024, and yet Windows still has inconsistencies with its UI, especially when it comes to dark mode. For example, even with dark mode enabled, legacy apps like Control Panel remain in white. It's frustrating to see the operating system still relying on outdated elements, and uninstalling apps feels unnecessarily complicated. Why do we need to navigate deep into Settings to remove applications installed via .exe? This should be more streamlined. Additionally, there are discrepancies in your insider channels. While Dev, Canary, and Release Preview have 24H2, Beta is still stuck in 23H2 even though 24H2 is official. Why the inconsistency? We appreciate new features like Copilot, but the UI and user experience need more attention. If you're so committed to keeping legacy components, why not create a separate version of Windows for older hardware? It would allow these machines, which are still perfectly usable, to receive updates. You talk about sustainability, but your strict Windows 11 requirements are causing unnecessary e-waste. Many functioning laptops are being discarded simply because they can't run Windows 11, even though the differences between Windows 10 and 11 aren't that significant. As we approach the end of 2024 and head into 2025, it’s time for Microsoft to seriously reconsider its approach to legacy components and system requirements. While your commercial animations and new features are impressive, the user experience, especially in terms of UI consistency and app management, needs significant improvement. A well-wisher hoping for positive change as we move into 2025 :)
