Does Windows 11 have a new Windows Kernel or does it use the existing Kernel that Windows 10 uses? I did installed Windows 11 on my computer that doesn't meet the system requirements and few days, I contacted Microsoft to ask about Windows 11 and I did mention that I installed Windows 11 on my computer that doesn't meet the system requirements and they said that it's not recommended to install Windows 11 on a computer that doesn't meet the system requirements because it could malfunction and no longer be supported and won't be receiving any updates later on so I just went back to Windows 10 to be secured but it was nice to have Windows 11 on my computer for a while but hopefully I will get a new computer that has Windows 11.
windows 11 has the same kernel as windows 10, it is just a new interface for windows 10, the requirements are there that microsoft gets more money when you buy a new pc
@@chocolateimage Why Microsoft couldn't create a new Windows Kernel for Windows 11 instead of using the existing Kernel that's used for Windows 10? How hard is it to create a Kernel for a operating system?
@@guardians3004 Microsoft will never make a new kernel off the ground, they're using the same kernel since Windows NT, yes, the current kernel carries legacy code from more than 20 years ago, filled with security branches and it's the main reason why Windows feels so slow and bloated compared to macOS and Linux, also it's because of all the legacy stuff that Microsoft doesn't update the UI in most areas, there's XP, Vista and Windows 8 icons in parts of the UI on Windows 11, and probably it won't change anytime since it's been like this since Windows 8

For me, the memories of Windows 2000 didn't fed, It is very hard to assume the world without Windows and the improvements in each version since then. What an awesome journey, with a very new experiences to tap in to with each version.
Hey, this could be a good insider request. If you had access to the build versions, they'd ask you for suggestions. This is a good one. No one likes going to add/remove programs to uninstall one.
All this talk about better Windows updates. Does this mean that youll stop throttling processes and causing process crashes to FORCE me to restart my PC to update? I WANT to update when I'M ready, not when windows decides.
Windows 11 launch event was indeed good and meaningful but a few points I would like to highlight. 1. Windows 10 'Product which is a SERVICE AS A SERVICE, The last version of Windows' - Microsoft 2015 - Then how can Windows 11 come into existence and Windows 10 support removed 2. 'Cortana, we are excited to welcome you to PC' - Microsoft 2015 - Now Microsoft ended support for Cortana and replaced with copilot that takes 100 years to load a single content 3. There is no physical and formal launch event like it happened with Windows 1.0 - Windows 10. Instead an online launch event was held and that too amidst COVID crisis. WHAT IS THIS???
Does Microsoft know a cool thing about online events is that you can pre-record them to actually make them presentable? Cause that introduction was something else dude
@decoydesign well lets be real here, Microsoft themselves are obviously the biggest Apple fanboys. It's so clear that they tried to copy Apple's presentation style. Unfortunately for them, their people lack the charisma to properly execute this
@decoydesign I'm not saying that it's a WWDC copy, they just copied the way Apple presents their products. Like even their choice of words, suddenly MS describes their products as "it works like magic" etc.
@decoydesign wow this is the only example of a possibility, in which iOS ,,copied“ android The other way round there are thousand of examples in which android or Samsung simply copy Apple etc.
@@Lurin Apple has been the lead in phones for a while so it's obvious other companies would get inspiration from their design and ideas, it's not a direct copy

Literally none of the computers I have can even support Windows 11; not even the decently powerful desktop I've had for about 9 years now. No thanks to the TMP 2.0 requirement.
@@ripper00ski420 You are taking it too literally. To sell someone on an idea or product means to present it in a way to convince them to adopt it or try it out. My point is that their presentation is full of things that they are pretending are new when they are not.
1. Windows has had it's cosmetics redesigned. The taskbar, file explorer, start menu, settings app, and basically anything else built into the OS looks modernized and better. The themes have been updated and now have a much more refreshed and beautiful colour palette. The iconography and typography of Windows is revamped. The design choices revolve around the new blue colour, subtle shadows, rounded edges, some changes to the geometry of windows shapes, and some simplifications of outdated logos. There are much more new design features to mention (some of which are really cool, like the way the default background changes theme-to-theme), but I don't want this to be an essay. 2: Ease of use is improved. Snap layouts allow users to select a layout they want to use for windows to display their apps in. When unplugging the keyboard from a Windows device, new touchscreen gestures are turned on, the icons on the taskbar move further apart, among other things. Teams, Outlook and Onedrive are integrated better. Haptics are here too. 3. Windows is able to run Android apps. The Amazon Appstore is the integrated default for installing new apps, however Android apps can be installed from any source. 4. Gaming performance is greatly improved. Auto HDR improves the colours and contrast of games. DirectStorage in the Xbox Series X and S has drastically improved loading times for games, and this technology will be integrated into Windows 11. 5. Other stuff I can't remember, there's lots of it. It's not a huge step from a user experience perspective and it looks remarkably similar to 10, but the behind-the-scenes optimizations and fundamental changes to how windows runs means that they can't just install a package update onto Windows 10 to get it all to work.
@@StupudPerson 1 that is entirely subjective, and I could already make it look like that or anything else if I really wanted to. And just because they did it before doesn't mean it was a good idea then nor does it make it a good idea now. And it's irrelevant anyway as it's just aethetics that can be changed easily enough.
Everything is fine, but why is the requirement of a TPM chip necessary? Why can't it be an option? I have a gaming PC, which can't run Windows 11 because of this.
It's the same case with every gamer in this world. I mean why would a gamer needs a security of that kind. I understand if it's there for business users but why us gamers.
@@nacheitor8563 No, there is not such feature in Windows 10. You cannot press the "resize" window icon and pick from several layouts, then push your open windows into the layout sections with a click, and also have Windows to remember which layout you picked and instantly reopen it with a click.

@@guardians3004 it is very hard to create a completely new kernel for a operating system, windows uses the same kernel (with updates) since nt
@@chocolateimage How long would it take to create a new Windows Kernel for Windows 11?
@@guardians3004 Microsoft will never make a new kernel off the ground, they're using the same kernel since Windows NT, yes, the current kernel carries legacy code from more than 20 years ago, filled with security branches and it's the main reason why Windows feels so slow and bloated compared to macOS and Linux, also it's because of all the legacy stuff that Microsoft doesn't update the UI in most areas, there's XP, Vista and Windows 8 icons in parts of the UI on Windows 11, and probably it won't change anytime since it's been like this since Windows 8

@@random6033 I meant that Linux is great in servers and embedded systems (e.g. OpenWrt and Android) but a 3rd rate OS in Desktop for 25 years. Thus the "nobody else" OS. I used to use it heavily but switched to Win10 for productivity and gaming reasons.

Thank you all, for the nice presentation; above all for the works you have done to design and develop Windows 11. It is beautiful, I can't wait to update and experience it. For me, the memories of Windows 2000 didn't fed, It is very hard to assume the world without Windows and the improvements in each version since then. Windows 11 launch event was indeed good and meaningful but a few points I would like to highlight.
1. Windows 10 'Product which is a SERVICE AS A SERVICE, The last version of Windows' - Microsoft 2015 - Then how can Windows 11 come into existence and Windows 10 support removed
2. 'Cortana, we are excited to welcome you to PC' - Microsoft 2015 - Now Microsoft ended support for Cortana and replaced with copilot that takes 100 years to load a single content

@decoydesign wow this is the only example of a possibility, in which iOS ,,copied“ android
The other way round there are thousand of examples in which android or Samsung simply copy Apple etc.
@@Lurin Apple has been the lead in phones for a while so it's obvious other companies would get inspiration from their design and ideas, it's not a direct copy

Are you guys for real? Most of these "new features" are are things I can already do. I literally don't know WTF is being sold here.
That's what I thought too...
It's not a sale.. it'll be a free update. Like windows 10 was for windows 8
