I wouldn't agree with that statement. LCW rarely does net plays because its risky and hes a passive player that plays safe. Watch enough LCW and you can basically read his next moves.

Some of the net shots are just fluke shot,and when it comes to playing with net, Lee Chong Wei did it better. Its not because they dont know how to net shot,they focus on attacking and Chong Wei more like outplay kinda style and skillful

you missed out the sick net play from intanon vs wang shixian (indonesian open) rally, lin dan's return of taufik's rolling net shot (once in olympics 2012, and another much older one...these are only 2 which i can remember there are many more sick ones from LD im sure), and also one or two more from intanon/wangshixian/TTY which were very sick as well. i also remember one from Sung Ji-Hyun as well. i think only net shots where there is a return of a rolling net shot with another tight rolling net shot should be included. some of those at the beginning do not deserve to be there simply because they were rolling net shots. those are too common nowadays.

Come here looking for examples of badminton net shots and realised that pro badminton players are too fast, you pretty much never see them play really silly net shots because they get to stuff so well they aren't playing things 2 inches off the floor like you see in amateur badminton. Honestly I see shots down our local club that look better than a lot of these, obviously in our case the 10+ shots leading up to the net shot might be at a slightly lower level!
ShuttleFlash, if you talk about net kill, I would agree LCW is good at it. But, net shots? Most of LCW net shots shown in video was out of desperation than a controlled accurate net shots like from LD, or Kento Momota or even Srikanth.

More like top 20 luckiest net shots. No one can consistently tumble it over the net, otherwise they'd do it *all* the time.
Then why does it happen so often? It's because the players while training practice their tumbling net shots and learn how to perfect them.
I suggest you watch the average tournament game and count out of all the net shots played(and heck why not smashes, and everything else played low, too?) and see how many of those tumble over the net... Trust me, if they could consistently do it, they *would*, especially so at high levels where victory is all that matters.
I always consistently watch each of the livestreamed tournaments which BWF offers on their TH-cam channel. Within every match, there are usually always 2 or 3 or more extremely good netshots. It happens in so many matches. But the reason why it doesn't happen that often is because there isn't the opportunities to get to the net and have enough time to execute a net shot like that. Only if players have lots of time and take the shuttle early, they can execute a fantastic net shot.
Are you aware of the fact that for all types of shots, it’s more about probability? Which means even for a long push to the end line, some might only have 80% accuracy while some other more trained players 90 or above. The same goes to net shots and even tumbling net shots. Just the overall probability is much lower. But not for the hands solely but the need to be in position. So the reason why it is not happening all the time is not because it’s pure luck and can’t be depended upon, and training does improve the probability of them getting such shots.
